How old is too old for stollers. I was there in March and had my 6 year old in a stoller and it was great for her and me. We are going back in Aug. and I was wondering if I should rent on for her again she did love it. (she will be 7)

do what is best for you and your daughter.

This is a subject that arises strong feelings on this board!! But take no notice.

We have a son who is just 6 (was 5 on his last trip to wdw) and looks like a 8 or 9 year old. He is not used to walking long distances every day for two weeks, so we often rent him a stroller. He also has a problem with one of his feet, which means that he is not as active as many other children his age (however, this is getting much better now)...
we have never had any negative comments from anyone about the stroller.

take no notice what anyone else says, and do what is best for you and your dd!

I would say, if your daughter fits in the stroller, and she wants to be in it, and it works for your family....then do it! :)

definitely rent it if she wants it. my dd will be 6½yo and my ds almost 5yo on our next trip, and i'm sure i'll be renting a double for them to fight - i mean sit - in (LOL)!

they actually did fight over who sat on the right or the left last trip! maybe i'll get 2 singles next time...

:)

On our trip in 04 we rented a double stroller our kids were ages 6&7 at the time..and heavy. We went in Sept. 05 and skipped the stroller. They were just to big for it this last trip. If your kids still fit I would get one, it comes down to whatever works best for your own family..and how strong you are. :)

Oh wait, even then might be a good idea.

No really it depends on your child. My oldest is one who will want a stroller for a while (she is almost 5 years old.) Some kids at that age wouldn't dream of using one.

It really depends on your child, how fast you move or plan on moving and how your family tours.

I do know that it is much longer day then a normal tour of the local zoo or mall. You do a lot of walking.

My dd6 will is small for her age, I think I will get one on some days if we will be walking lots. Which will be everyday at Disney. Thank you for your comments.

My DD is 6 1/2 tall for her age and in shape. She is very quick to tell everyone she is a big girl not a baby but I asked her about leaving the stroller behind for our trip next week and it was a definite NO. WDW is the only place she not only wants a stroller but begs for it. Maybe by our summer trip she will not want it but we are taking it next week...

Personally, I feel that 6 years old is far too old for a child to be in a stroller. My own views are that it babies the child, spoils them, and makes them think it's ok to be lazy. (I'm not putting you down, I'm just stating how I would feel if it were my own child.)

My daughter, who was 8 at the time, was in a stroller. She is without physical disabilities but is very overwhelmed by the crowds. The stroller gave her a place to be comfortable and made the trip very enjoyable for her. She was at Disney to have a good time and that was what was necessary for that to happen. Make the decision that is best for your child.

I'm in the opposite group. Last time my son used a stroller was when he was 4. We go often, so we take breaks and don't spend all day in the parks. We hit the parks early in the AM for about three or four hours. Then we go back to the villa and swim or rest. Then we head back to the parks around dinner time.

This worked for us and might work for you. We take it slow and take a nice long break when any of us are tired/sore/sleepy.
