Jay, I'm just now catching up after being gone for Dh's grandmother's funeral, then his Aunt. I'm so sorry about your father.....the pain is so hard. Take comfort in the fact that he was surrounded by his loving family at the end. Many positive thoughts and hugs coming to you and your family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been a lurker on many of your previous trip reports so I feel like I "know" at least the disney part of you. My own dad has been battling multiple cancers for the last several years so I can relate to how hard any type of sickness is for someone you love so dearly. I'm grateful you have faith to help you through. Many prayers your way.

Oh Jay, I'm so sorry. There is nothing that can be said to take away the pain of losing someone you are close to, but your strength and faith will go a long way in helping you heal. It is such a wonderful blessing that you and your family were able to be with your dad and surround him with all your love before his passing, I'm sure it meant a lot to him.

BUT... I know that it is just a wonderful start for him. It's sort of crazy but although I am so sad, I am even more happy for him and relieved that he is no longer in pain. Life is so precious and amazing and I am even more determined now to hold on to the joys life brings and commited to let everything else fade away.
