How does Stitch compare to Alien Encounter?

Liked Alien Encounter a lot, never been on Stitch but I know a lot of people do not like it.

Alien Encounter was excellent! It was really scary, very exciting.

Stitch is very tame; not at all scary, but not much of anything else either.

But, as much as I loved AE (and I really did!) it wasn't very Disney and didn't really belong in MK. MGM maybe :scratchin

Never was on AE, but Stitch is so not worth it. DD8 enjoys the pre-show more than the actual show...first time we did it I kept waiting for SOMETHING to happen!!!

We love Stitch, but not his attraction....

To be concise...The Stitch attraction (not you personally, Stitch) Suuucks!

Loved AE!!!!!! Saw Stitch the first time this January and was very bored! I agree AE didn't belong in the MK but it was an awesome attraction, especailly the first time you experience it!

Well I've heard/read a lot of bad reviews about Stitch's Great Escape. Alien Encounter didn't do much for me either... that's why I was curious.

Not much different from one to the other. Same venue, inside just about the same other then Stitch is in the tube whereas the alien was in same tube before. Same seating, shoulder bars etc, just some added laser guns hanging from the ceiling. We like it but we also like Mission to Mars years ago.

Are you serious????? AE would have scared the crap out of little kids  . It scared the crap out of me when I was 23!!!!!! Stich is definately geared towards children, where AE was NOT!!!!!!

I was soooooooo disappointed. It really was rubbish. There was no surprise or thrill and glad to get out without falling asleep!
If theres a queue-dont bother!!!

I was not at all thrilled with the Stitch ride..... AE was sooooo much scarier.. That was one nasty looking alien... It freaked me out everytime I rode it and I knew what was coming... Stich is just too cute to be scarey...

Love Alien Encounter because of the great scary effects. Stich was good if you like him and I found it strange that more kids screamed during Stitch than what I remember at Alien Encounter. I could hardly hear any of the audio during Stitch because of all the screaming and squealing. But I loved having Stitch for my wake up call at POFQ. When I picked up the phone he screamed GET MOVING! Then Mickey says something like, Sorry about that folks!

For such a new attraction, yesterday it had almost the shortest wait time of any attraction in the park. In the middle of the busiest time of day when everything else had 60+ minute standby times, Stitch had a 10 minute standby time. I don't know if that is due to its unpopularity or if they can really move people through, because I didn't bother seeing it, even with that short a wait time.

just wondering why some felt AE didn't belong in tomorrow land? i thought it fit in well there and didn't have a problem with "adult" type rides ( Space mountain comes to mind) while maintaining enough kid friendly things....I'm sorry it's gone but my eldest daughter rejoices as it scared her witless

Have to agree with a majority of the posts
AE was great, scarey, well worth it
Stitch don't waist your time : :crazy2:

I thought AE was really over hyped. Didn't find it scary, just weird and was waiting for some sort of action. Altho clearly you guys don't agree! I love Stitch so much so just 'seeing' him makes my day. Have to agree it could be a lot better and really is only suitable for die hard stitchy fans :stitch:

I would not waist my time doing Stitch's ride again.

I don't think I would be able to get out of it. DS (6) would demand we go! Even if he was scared witless the first time. He's decided that Stitch only wanted to give him a hug, and not kill him. So... I think it is very much Disney. I would never have gone on AE with a child.
