I'm home now. I had a great weekend. Of course my cat is mad at me just like I thought she would be, as soon as I started to pet her hello, she became entirely disinterested. She's usually very affectionate, but she gets mad when I go away, since she doesn't get as much attention, my mom forgetting to feed her today didn't help.

Mine does the same thing. She has to puniswh me for leaving her.

Can I tell you how HOT it was in the SUN today!!!!!!

Sox came back and tied it in the 9th & won it in the 10th! WOOOT!

P.S. Abby got autographs from my bf, Carlos Quentin, and some other players...... Paul Konerko, Juan Uribe, and Matt Thorton!!!! I was so mad though b/c they wouldn't let you take posed pics with Carlos & Paulie for some reason. She was able to with Uribe & Thorton though.

OT - Do you guys celebrate your wedding anniversary & buy gifts? I'm all for NOT celebrating or buying gifts. DH bought me a gift & snuck it into my work bag so I got it when I got to work. We were kind of fighting last night so I don't think he wanted to acknowledge our anniversary this morning. Anyway, I didn't buy him anything b/c I really didn't think we would do gifts. Our trip to Disney is usually our gift to each other b/c it is only 1 month after our anniversary. I guess I have to get him something now. I've got an hour after work to figure it out!

Thanks. As bad as it sounds, I don't really care about celebrating. I think all those Hallmark holidays are dumb - Sweetest Day, Valentines, you name it......... I don't want to celebrate my anniversary for the next 50 yrs, every year. It's more like a to me!!!!!

I don't know what I'm going to get him! That's where I need your guys help! I might just run to Kohl's or something and pick up some boring old clothes or maybe a Bears jersey. I don't think he likes the one he has. He has way too many Sox jerseys / T-shirts......... I don't know. I don't want to get him anything!!!!! Really, what's the point. He likes sports, sports, and more sports!!!! I was considering buying tix to the Illini - Missouri game for this Sat in St. Louis. But, I can't really buy them and say OK, we are going to St. Louis for the weekend! I sent him an email asking if he wanted to go and he hasn't responded so he probably thinks I'm nuts. The game is sold out so I'd have to buy them off craigslist or stub hub.

I hate cigars so that will not be happening.

BTW, DS got his backpack delivered yesterday - it's perfect. It could be a boy or girl pack. It looked boyish enough for him. And I still want it. He's thrilled and I'm happy.

I told him that it's filled with the Disney Magic.....I think that was a mistake. He keeps waiting for it to disappear and reappear (that's the ASD talking ). So one little comment turned into a 20 min. conversation about the fact that his backpack won't disappear on him. I just kept telling him that the magic just puts a smile on his face.

He got some clothes....... 2 pair of PJ pants, 1 of them all superheros. I think they are funny! A Hester (Bears) jersey. A vintage looking Mickey Mouse shirt. I think that's it........ Oh, I got a real good card too. He was like did you have this especially made or something b/c it fits us to a T.

So, we are looking for hotels now b/c I think we are going to go to St. Louis this weekend. GO ILLINI!
