Good luck with the church thing Angel. That mix is going to be tough. Did your DH go to a baptist church when you were in FL?

DH and I went from Lutheran and Presby respectively to Nondenominational Evangelical. How the heck that happened I'll never know

I don't think DH would go for evangelical......I could...but he couldn't...not yet in his life anyway. Not that you were suggesting it. Just musing outloud with my fingers on the keyboard. When we were in Florida, I went to a baptist church from time to time and he went on holidays. I know he's a believer, he just really doesn't care for church. I can't say I blame him. It's always very hard for me to find one that I like. I guess since I am not someone who walks around all ridiculously cheery all the time, I find it kind of phony when others are that way. I know we should be happy when we're at curch, and I am, I just don't really need to make idle chit chat with a hundred people and walk around with a fake smile plastered on my face. Uggghhh we're too hard to please.

We have church issues too. I was raised Catholic and him Baptist. His family church is VERY small so I feel very uncomfortable there because at my church it was huge and you could just go, listen, learn, have coffee, go home. His has this way of needing to meet everyone and they descend on me and invite me to women's sewing clubs and family picnics etc and I feel like I can't just go and get used to it for a while before I make friends.

DH is definately a "leave me alone" kinda guy. We got lucky, the church we now go to doesn't invade our space. And I noticed when the flu and cold season hit - they stopped doing the portion of the service where you shake everyone's hand. Gotta love 'em for that!

I would like to think that I would donate some to my favorite charities. The I would pay off all of our bills and our immediate families bills and homes. Then DH and I would probably buy a fancy catamaran and sail the world.

Hmmmm, well after paying nearly half in taxes

I would take 10% and donate to church and charity.

Then like you give to family.

Payoff the house. We need a new car so I'd get one. Take a long Disney vacation - at the Poly of course.

Then I'd set the rest of it up in a safe acct. to earn a modest interest.

I figure even earning low interest would gross roughly $600,000ish which would net roughly mid to highish 300's. We could live on wayyyy less than that each year so at LEAST a quarter mil would go back into the pot to cont. gaining interest.

I'm sure we'd buy some properties too.
