Stimulus Package Refund has been deposited!!!

I am sure I read somewhere (USA Today maybe?) that the IRS was depositing a certain amount every day Monday-Thursday, and then a huge huge chunk of them Friday.

Just to be clear. It is Monday - Wednesday, no deposits will be made on Thursday (from what I have heard) and the bulk will be done on the "scheduled day."

Just checked our account, and ours is in there this morning! Too bad it is going to pay down credit cards! My DH got paid today too, so all that money sure helps!!!

Those of you with low SS# , I wanted to let you know you may not get it today either.

I checked the "where's my stimulus payment" on the irs website and it says we will get ours by May 9 not May 2.

The SS# ends in 00, we had our tax return direct deposited, we filed back in Feb. and paid our fees with a credit card.

So, evidently they aren't actually going by the original schedule they put up either, because we didn't get it deposited this morning, I checked just in case the "where's my stimulus payment" was wrong, which according to their information would have been our date for the deposit.

I don't "need" the money till May 9, since our payment on the beach house we are staying at isn't due till May 11, but I would have expected it to be in there the day they have been saying it would be. I don't think that's too much to expect?

Got ours this morning. But they deducted the balance of our 2006 back taxes from it.

Oh well. At least we don't have to make payments anymore. But it bites anyway because in the beginning, the FAQs all said that this stimulus would be seperate from any other tax liabilities like that. Where's the 'stimulus' part?

Oh well. Like I said, least we don't owe 'em anymore.

For those who are not getting it today who thought they would, I assume are married since they are saying "ours" are both spouses in the same categroy or could it be they went of the higher #?

Got mine today, thankfully. When I went to check this morning my balance wasn't any/much different. Apparently an autopay and this deposit both hit and were about the same about...so my balance didn't change...

They will try and direct deposit it. It will get rejected and then they will just send a paper check.

There is a chance your direct deposit may automatically "force" your closed account to be re-opened -- best to call your bank for more info...

I don't understand how they are dispersing these rebates. I did our taxes thru H&R block online and paid the fee with my CC. Had the refund direct deposited. They're not even showing us in the system! I've read this has happened to a lot of other people too. Our SS# ends with 22. Some with much higher numbers have already gotten theirs, others with lower numbers have not. This is very confusing! Ours was originally scheduled for May 9, I guess I won't worry til then. I just don't understand why so many of us aren't even showing up.

I don't show up in the system either. I did pay for my refund through the direct deposit using taxact. I guess I don't get mine until June. Bummer....that's not what I thought would happen.
