Still Waiting

Resales do take long! Final payment received 10/26 as of today, the points are not in our account. Even DH is asking me daily if they're there yet!

Doesn't it take a good 3 weeks or so to "close" after the title company receives your payment? And then, doesn't it take some time for you to show up in Disney's system? The 26th is only about a week or so ago... (or am I missing what you mean by "final payment"?)

We closed 3 weeks after our final payment was received. (Sellers took forever to send in their documents...) And then it was another week before we were in the Disney system.

I just got off the phone with Jason and "bit the bullit" for an add on. Good thing this isn't my 1st purchase or I'd be bonkers too!!

If you purchased your re-sale through The Timeshare Store, Inc., please give us a call. If all sellers and buyers closing documents have been returned along with your final funds, your file should have closed. Disney generally only needs 5 to 7 days to transfer the points etc. for your membership. Our contact number is 800-550-6493 or 407-239-8899.

Hang in there , Bobbi. We just bought an AKV resale, and it took 54 days from the day of our offer to the day our points were available on the system. We really got lucky, because our points became available on the exact day our 11-month window opened for booking our September 2010 stay at Kidani! Good luck!!!

I purchased from the DVC Store.
Once I closed, my points were in my DVC account in 1 1/2 days.
Actually, they could see my points on the second day in the morning but still had to wait for something (maybe they could see my name, not points, don't know) so I called after lunch and made our ressies.
Good luck. I know how exciting it is since we just closed a few weeks ago.

Oh...OK, yes I thought it would be sooner after they received the money. I wasn't paying attention and never thought that it could be 3 weeks from when the money was received.

We have bought most of our contracts from Disney, but there were 2 others via resale, and it was before we could see our points on line on the member site, so I really wasn't as aware of how long it took to see the points in the account.

We didn't buy from Timeshare store, but from Jaki and ****. It's an SSR contract 100 points March UY. I looked at all of the sites! The treehouses appeal to me and my family and once every few years it would be nice to be able to book one.

Ok...I will be patient...thank you all for giving me a better idea of what to expect. I thought you pass ROFR, pay your money, wait a few days and viola!

There is grave illness and one of the owners is hospitalized. Jaki called today and the papers should be in the mail this week. I'm sad to learn this...the seller is 40 years old.
