Still use old mugs at resorts?

Me and my DBF stayed at POR 2 years ago and are going back in a couple of weeks. I love the look of the new refillable mugs they have out and plan on getting one, but DBF is not overly thrilled and would rather use the one we bought there before. Does anyone know if we can still use the old ones, or is that frowned upon? (or not possible because of the new mugs) TIA!

You are supposed to get NEW ones...we are ordering gift baskets for the kids to arrive as a welcoming present from "Mickey" at our resort and included in one of them is a NEW REFILLABLE MUG...the point of me telling you that, is...that Betsy, who I bought the baskets from, said that the NEW mugs are universal and can be used anywhere in Disney...if I am wrong, I am sure that someone will correct me, lol,but she just emailed me that info earlier this evening...and she REALLY knows her Disney stuff! FYI

You will need to buy a new mug. The Year of a Million Dreams mugs are good at the resorts for the length of stay in which you purchased them.
