Still Sassy after all this time!

SNOW, Tricia? Woohoo! Are the kids excited? Do they even own snow clothes?:goodvibes I am quite jealous - I wish it would snow here and give us a snow day. Looks like we are just going to get rain. Giraffes are assembling on my front lawn, looking for the man with the beard and staff. I cannot help them, and they seem soggy and disappointed.

Judi - Thanks for the Viggo!!!!!! He's such a wonderful thing to see.:thumbsup2

Becca - I did try to reason with the frog, but he had been watching reruns of "Searching for Bobby Fischer" while I was at work and now all is lost. And yes, he does use those legs to his advantage in tournaments and has been disqualified three times for such a thing. Perhaps I will post a picture of Brendan on his bedroom wall to whip him into shape!

Jeni - Hang in there! I am glad you went to visit your friend. Judi's right - people beat the numbers every day.

Hi Bonnie (you skivving slacker, you;) ), Angie, Heather, Julie, and anyone else I forgot! Talk to you soon!

Hi everyone!

We had snow here too:santa: And I heard on the news there was apossibility of more next week:eek:

It was fun and exciting for the kids....but on the flip side there were more than 500 wrecks since yesterday afternoon when it all started. People down here just dont know how to drive in the icy conditions.

How is everyone doing?

Here's a copy of my house from today. Fun times man!

Wow Tricia....you had more snow than we did!! Woohoooo:goodvibes

Grrrrr......40 second rule!!

Hiya there, Sassies! I am up late, waiting for a cheesecake to come out of the oven. Apparently it needs to rest, and that trumps any rest that it's baker was planning on.

Shannon - I saw you on the Hancock thread - I can imagine that the jet propelled sperm and Oma would be a delicate situation. It was difficult enough watching it with Barney!:rotfl2:

Good morning Sassies! A neighborhood child threw an ice chunk that collided with Justin's face. The whole left side of his mouth inside and out is bruised and swollen pretty bad. I'm so glad it didn't get him in the eye or on the nose. His teeth seem okay so no dr. for him.

Ack! Poor Justin! Was it an accident, or an intentional chunk hurling?

Please don't send him here as Brendan discovered he enjoys frog legs on his dinner plate. Since when do chinese buffets have frog legs? I mean cat legs I could see, but frog legs that's a stretch.
One more reason for me to AVOID the Chinese buffet!!!

Shannon, Hancock? Did I ever tell you my parental shame due to that movie? Picture it, 4th of July weekend, no power, must find something to do that won't take too long since we need to check on the generator, decide to go to the movies without reading any reviews. Took the children to see the movie, a whole new language was learned as well as some new style wrestling moves!

:rotfl: That is hilarious! We've all had those "oh ****e" moments, where our Parent of the Year Awards were in peril.

I went to visit yesterday, she was having a good day, she's really thin and having trouble walking. She kept telling me not to worry that she would be back in a few weeks. A family friend was with her, she walked me to the car and explained that Alice (my friend) didn't know the prognosis yet, the drs plan to tell her today. She was in such high spirits that I'm afraid the news will make everything worse. Plus I remember that her husband passed away this time last year.

That is so sad. :sad1: I hope she finds the strength to listen to the Dr. but keep on fighting!

Hello, all you Sassy hags! I am skiving off work today. i don't really feel well, but even more importantly, we are shopping online for the girls' Christmas gifts.

What is everyone up to today?

Ryan is still out of town-- home tomorrow night! (Mama needs a break!!!!) Reece had a strings concert this morning, which was surprisingly in-tune. I'll admit, I was expecting the worst! But, when he got home from school & we sat down to watch the videos I took... hilarity ensued! With my mad Videography skillz, I managed to film about 30 minutes of his Orchestra conductor's booty! :lmao: Reece's little red head is peeking around the side, but there's no mistaking the large behind in every shot! Spielberg, I am NOT.

Met a friend & her new baby for lunch at Ollie's, then this evening took Riley to a playdate at Gymboree with the Chesterbrook moms. Now Cindy can simmer down! :lmao: Actually, it was fun, and they want me & Riles to crash your classroom party!:rotfl2: I said I'd check with you 1st.

I'm working but I wish I was home. We leave in 8 days for WDW and I'm not ready. I did make arrangements for someone to watch the dog for me.

Yay! That's coming up fast!

Tricia & Heather--- SNOW?!?! That must be a rare sight for y'all. Are you guys making snow angels in your flip flops & tankinis? I would!

Judi-- thanks for the picture of Viggo. He's such a manly man!

Our snow is melting. :guilty: Well it was fun while it lasted. Here's a picture of Colin and Kendall enjoying the rare occasion.

Our house again just a bigger picture. Yes yesterday was a proud day in the South.

Becca I hope Justin is feeling better today.

Love the snow pictures! As much as I dislike cold weather I'd love to see that much snow down here.

Today is our 1st annual staff advisory council holiday party at work, I watched the Office last night and now I'm really glad we said no alcohol. :rotfl2: Don't want anyone catching thier hair on fire.

As a member of the council I am supposed to conduct the prize raffle, so not only do I have to speak in public but I'm also expected to be funny. I'm very nervous.

I love that last picture Tricia! What are the kids bending down and looking at? I think you sent the snow here.

Shannon, I think you should crash the party without a doubt. How else can you teach Riley about proper party crashing techniques and blending in, start them young!

I think it was an intentional hurling. Brian bought him a Tommy twenty nerf gun yesterday and he is feeling much better. My husband is a definite briber!

Wilma, I am sending you a picture of Brendan pronto so you can whip that frog into shape. You can't let them get a leg up or the next thing you know they will be taking over the entire planet and we will be living in lakes under lilly pads.

Judi, have you dug out yet?

Hey there, Sassies! Just a quick hey-howdy-hey on my lunch hour. :wave2:

Tricia and Heather! HOLY COW!! You got snow!! We have not even really had our first snow, save it be like 1/4 inch that melted a couplehours later! Hope you are enjoying it!

Judi! How ya doin, lady? I miss you!

Judi, he is Viggo Mortenson. He was in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, 28 Days, a really good movie about a horse race across the desert and several other movies.

Bonnie, skipper! Have you gotten a cootie shot lately? I just received my booster last night.

Jeni, I'll watch your dog! I could use some warm weather.:)

If any of you are on facebook let me know if I don't have you as friends already!

Hi Bex! me! I'm on Facebook! Did you know? ;) And no, no cootie shots this year. Perhaps that's why I keep getting sick?

I'm on facebook.

Hi Jeni!! I'm on facebook too! Be my friend! Pleeeeeze!!!

Hi wilma! How are you, lady? Getting excited for the Feb meet? I am!

Cool, lady! So which of the Chesterbrook moms (kids) attended? Did they know that you know me? And of COURSE you can crash our class party! I would love it! Guess who has to play Santa this year? BRENT!!!! HHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Can you imagine? He sooo does not wanna do it, but Erin begged and begged. I'm gonna ROLL!

Evening All. Our Staff Party was a huge success we raised $200 and a truckload of food for our local food bank.

How are all my frozen friends? Judi, have you built an igloo yet? Tricia & Heather, have you recovered from the shock yet?

Jeni, way to go on the food bank donations!

Bex-- As long as Riley & I have recovered from our sinus issues, we'll crash Bon's party like the rock stars we are! Maybe this time Schmickloria won't burst in on us in the bathroom. (ok, that sounded bad. It was Riley using the potty, not Bon & I!)

Happy Sunday Sassy ones! I've got to get the house picked up before I can go play. Roger asked me to help him and his kids put up the christmas tree. Such a giant step forward!

Sheesh. Where is everyone? It's not like it's the holidays, and you all have lives or something!:rotfl:

We didn't do much this weekend. I'm feeling better, but not 100% yet, and Riley is better but still vulnerable to getting sick again, so we hunkered down. I did go to Yoga yesterday, & got my butt thoroughly whooped by the new instructor. I think she was trying to prove herself or something. I really didn't know my body could bend those ways.

I'd like to point out that there is less than 2 months on my ticker! I am sooo excited, and yes Angie, I am LITERALLY saving pennies for my Lapu and Captain Mai Tai fund. Have I mentioned that I am really, really looking forward to a vacation? :woohoo:

Good morning all you sassy people.

You can now stick a fork in me because I'm officially done my Christmas shopping. I don't want to be anywhere around a mall next weekend. I can't believe that came out of my mouth loving to shop and all just not next weekend. :santa: Now the day after Christmas I'm there. Gotta get all my wrapping paper for next year. :santa:

I hope you all had a great weekend. Judi you haven't checked in since I got my wonderful snow. I hope you are ok.

Shannon glad to hear you are feeling better. Being sick around the holidays well just stinks.

Jeni I'm glad things are moving forward for you and Roger. :thumbsup2

Becca, Wilma, Bonnie, Heather, Kimmy, Julie, Squiddy  I think I forgot Mel :wave2:

Tricia - I plan on finishing my shopping today. I only have the adults left to shop for. My Dsis and I are playing hooky from work to get everything done and wrapped before we leave on Friday.

Our house again just a bigger picture. Yes yesterday was a proud day in the South.

Judi I'm so glad you dug yourself out of that snow mass and checked in. You know I worry.

Let's see if we can't get the page to turn.

Hey there Sassies! I am officially married to a 40 year old. I wish he would start acting more his age though, he is a perpetual 12 year old.:rolleyes1 If he hasn't outgrown his adolescence by now I doubt he ever will!

Judi, I was surprised my kids had school today. We had rain yesterday and then it flash froze and it is mighty icy. Now it is snowing. I wish Mother Nature would pick a season already.

I finished my shopping yesterday and I have almost everything wrapped! :rolleyes1 I almost forgot the swim coaches, but I had a Bath and Body works coupon that saved the day!

Well

to Brian. Did you make him a cake? Kelsie's birthday is tomorrow and she requested a Chocolate Chip Pound Cake. It's yummy and very moist. I'll be making that tomorrow along with cupcakes for Colin's class Christmas party which is on Wednesday.
