Still doing DVC referral bonus?

We just referred some friends to DVC and they bought in and put us down as their referral.

I was trying to find info on the DVC member site about this and couldn't find it.

We referred other friends over a year ago and got a $200 "bonus" that we used towards our annual dues.

Is DVC still doing this? I sure hope so!

The program has been discontinued. DVD reports that they will offer a different program sometime in the future.

I thought they quit doing it at the end of 2013 when they shut down sharing the magic program. I never referred anyone so idk about any current promotions tho.

We referred a family who purchased Aulani on the spot in October, 2013. We got a nice thank you letter from Disney, but that was it.

They were supposed to introduce a new referral program in Summer of 2014. Obviously that time frame has come and gone. IMO I don't think we will see another referral program as long as the economy continues to upswing and direct sales remain strong. There is currently little or no motivation for Disney to reward referrals, as they are getting plenty of sales on their own. Maybe if direct sales taper off a little, we will see another referral program, but if we do, I expect it will look pretty much like the last one.

They just added something to the Member Site... but i don't think there's an incentive involved. They are encouraging us to send emails to friends and family.

Saw that the other day. Nothing endears you to friends and family like giving their email address to a company that will send a slightly personalized email!
