thanks girlies!!! some updates. we just sent in our minimum and changes to our contract but at least that is done. we have also picked our music for the ceremony:

still looking for some type of disney wrapping paper to wrap my favors in. i just can't believe that there is no disney wedding or romantic wrapping paper out there.

we also hit the 90 day mark and made our reservations over the weekend. we have people coming in starting 12/30, so we wanted to make sure we had some things planned. We have a lot of people coming to celebrate NYE, which i am excited about so we DEF needed reservations.

We have made reservations for:
Tony's Town Square for dinner-i actually have never eaten here, so we will see how the food measures up in our NY opinion(home of some of the greatest italian food).
Ohana's for Breakfast(my FAVORITE breakfast at Disney!!!)
Chef Mickey's for their New Years brunch
50's primetime cafe
1900 Park Fair

We are still trying to decide what to do or if we will have a farewell breakfast.

so now what i have left to do is:

prepare favors and order paper and ribbons
get rings
get marriage license
prepare seating cards
prepare programs
call about dress steaming
get MOH dress
order tuxes
veil and jewlery (will do that at my first fitting)
shoes for my dress
gifts for bridal party
dress for my shower
add hair and makeup appointments with Patricia
discuss the ceremony with our officiant/friend

im sure there is more that I can't think of at the moment.

SO much to do!!! my head is going to start spinning

also, going to florida for a few days to visit my grandparents. i am excited and nervous to see them especially my grandpa. i know he is not doing so well, but my sister and i want to go down ASAP in case something happens. i am just praying to g-d for 2 things-that my grandfather is well enough to make it to my wedding and that it does not snow the weekend of my wedding. hopefully g-d will be on my side.

on a fun note-the girls have decieded to have a part 2 to my bachelorette party! we are going to go to this restaraunt Mangia e Bevi in the city which has great italian food and fun atmosphere. i heard they go nuts for bachelorettes. i am so excited-we are going next week. tom also has his bachelor party next week, so my BFF/MOH is spending the weekend at my house. we have to get her MOH dress and then do dinner. should be a fun

Hi all.

have not had much to report lately and been crazy busy since i got back from visiting my grandparents. it was great to see them. my grandpa has good days and bad days. he looked better than i though he would. they were so happy me and my sister came to see them. it was really hard to leave i jsut keep praying he will be at my wedding.


so some updates. tonight my MOH is coming to meet me in the city and we will be going to DBs to get her dress! i will post pics once we decide on one. i also want to look at shoes while I am there to see what I really want. the stuart weitzman ones are still not on sale anywhere, so i have to see what i like now. she is also spending the weekend at my house since DF is in vegas for his bachelor party. tomorrow i am going to look for a bridal shower dress since i know it is next month sometime. then tomorrow night, it is bachelorette party part dux...the girls are taking me to dinner and then maybe go out for some kareoke and drinking. so excited, should be a lot of fun. my sister is not coming since she has plans but i really don't care. probably better off and of course my friend who left my first bachelorette party is not coming since she has a wedding. oh well-whatever. i still never heard from my other friend who did not even come to my original bach party because she had her "family wedding" ie new boyfriend's wedding. anyway at 5:30 am she sends me a text that is a forward that says i love you ***** with this whole saying. now i know it is a mass text but i told her that she should not come to my wedding last time we spoke. i just dont understand why she would send this but yet has not contacted me at all. just plain weird. sorry to vent. anyway i am sooooo excited for this weekend. i think it will be fun.

on another note, there has been bridal shower drama-it turns out the something happened to the invitations and they never went out. i know my bridal shower is next month but of course my sister blaims everyone else for the mistakes but can never take responsibility for anything. she also contacted all of my mom and stepmom's family to let them know the invitations are coming but never contact edtom's family to let them know the invitations will be late along with not telling tom the final date for the shower. i dont know the whole story yet (this is suppose to be a surprise) but my BFF said she will tell me everything after the shower. it just figures how i once again do so much for people and something as simple as invitations being sent out is an issue. people ****in suck. what can i do but vent to my Dis girls!!!

i plan on getting some ideas from my creative friend who is staying over tomorrow night on how to present my favors. i still have not found disney paper ANYWHERE so probably going to go with silver wrapping paper, purple bows and maybe try to cut out mickey head labels. that is it for now

Steph, I'm glad your grandfather is doing better than you expected! I'm crossing my fingers that he will be there!

Also, I'm so sorry that there is such an issue with your shower. It sucks because it's supposed to be something other people plan for you, yet it definitely seems like you wish you could just step in and get some of it done. Plus, you deserve to have a nice shower and I'm sorry that people aren't getting their crap together to do that for you! I wish I could help!

I know, you see, i dont have many friends for lots of reasons - they always let me down. I would never ever dream of letting anyone down, its just not what i do, i have to have everything perfect for people and most of the time, caring for others and not myself. plenty of times in the past i have planned parties and gatherings for my ex - friends and its been great and i know i shouldnt expect the same in return, but they just didnt do anything for me- ever! Too many people have let me down, too many people i have thought that were my friends have let me down and i dont deserve to be let down. YOU dont deserve to be let down. I have no friends and very few family who might, just might think of doing something for me, but im not expecting it because i will be let down if i think anyone will plan anything for me! Maybe you should get invloved, at least you can have your say and tell people what to do!! its not ideal, but ya know.

People should be going out there way to give you the best shower / party as you are so lovely.

Dammmit - if i lived close to you i would throw you one hell of a 'bach' or i would say 'hen' party! hehe! we would be dancing like bananas all night long

Thanks charlotte-you are so sweet! yeah my MOH swears everything is going to be ok. my true girlfriends along with df keep telling me not to stress, enjoy myself it is my day and i deserve it.

it just hurts ya know when you do so much for people and then when it is your turn they don't recipricate. i have realized stace in this process who my true friends really are. it is hard to accept at time especially when you have been friends with these people for 20 years but it just has to be. people grow apart and there is nothing you can do. just rely on the people you know are true. hopefully you do have people who will do it for you. i wish you lived near here b/c i would throw you the best hen party ever!!!

I agree with Stac!! I don't have a lot of friends for the exact same reason. Kinda the reason I am only having one person in my bridal party. People can be a pain sometimes, hang in there Steph!

so i think i picked my MOH dress

this is the color I want to do. it looked great on becky. now i can go hopefully go ahead and get the tuxes!!!

my 2nd bachelorette party was soooo fun!!! i am still waiting on pictures from my friends as my camera batteries died. i was so mad, brand new pack that i opened and all 4 were dead forgot about after the first couple of drinks though... the restaurant we went to was sooo much fun. i would totally recommend mangia e bevi it for a bachelorette party to anyone from NY. i was dancing on the table and the waiters dance, it was awesome. as soon as i get pics, i will post. we then rented a room for kareoke which was also alot of fun. then we went to a bar where i watched the end of the AMAZING yankee game! an abomb from arod to tie it and then to win it in the 12th! i am watching the game now waiting for DF to come back from vegas. anyways, what a great night it was!!!

update-angels tied it. what a series it has been so far.....we need another abomb from arod! LETS GO YANKEES!!!!!

now that my rant is over about the yankees. that is about it. oh my mom actually called to see if i had a nice time, so that was surprising. she also called me earlier in the week to ask exactly when my fittings are since she wants to be there. i think my grandma said something to her since i mentioned i feel she does not care to grandma. at times i think she is coming around, who knows. we also got a new kitchen table and china cabinet from tom's step grandmother. it is really nice wood furniture. i love it and it makes my kitchen look great! we did not have a good kitchen table and now we do!! so excited about it.

thanks mandy! i am trying to just teach myself to accept these people (including my mother) for who they are. if i accept it, it won't hurt as bad. i am such an emotional person at times though.

thanks for the dress compliment . i was originally going to do victorian lilac but it is to pastelly (is that a word) for my taste. i love the deep rich color.

THanks Sara. I spoke to him last night and he sounded good. like he says he has a good days and bad days and i know my wedding is helping him to think positive!

yes. the dress is from david's bridal. the number is F13565. it is very flattering and the color is exactly what i wanted. my MOH is ordering it this week. i think i have figured out how I am going to present my wedding favors, once i do the test one I will post it but have not really done much else this weekend except drink-. i need to buckle down now and get everything done. it is so soon!!!

Aww, that's good to hear. It's like that with anything but I'm sure it helps that your wedding gives him something to look forward too.

I love the BM dress! I have actually tried it on, when I was looking for a dress to wear to DFSIL's wedding, I really liked it but the one in my size had a broken zipper and I didn't have time to order it otherwise I would have gotten it, and I think in the same color too, lol. Great choice, I thought it was so elegant.

Oh man, I hope they win....my DF will be very upset if they don't!
