tomorrow is my first dress fitting!!! so excited. i am also going to pick out my veil, shoes, head piece and jewelry. my mom is coming to meet me in the city. i also know my bridal shower is sometime this month. i am having such issues finding a dress that i like. i really wanted a sweater dress but almost all the ones i find are black and gray. i really want some color. i went to lord and taylor on friday and bought 3 dresses-but don't love 2 of them. One i like is from French Connection it is black and blue but the blue is in the skirt-here is a pic

when it is on it is really flattering. i would probably add a belt to break it up.

it is also flattering on but feel it might be too fancy.

i really don't know though-still looking....

i found 2 dresses online that i like. i think i am going to run to macys at lunch time and try these on

lol-i am the total opposite. i love to dress up! i am not sure where or when. i know a lot more then i should as more drama had happened that i found out about. i will tell everyone about it after the shower since i don't know all the details yet. i just know it is in November and in brooklyn.

I like the first dresses out of the ones you showed. Have you tried H&M or Forever 21? Forever 21 especially has TONS of dresses and usually pretty cheap but not cheap looking. the forever 21 in Union Square has an insane selection. Hearing you talk about Brooklyn makes me miss it! Good luck!

Forever 21 can run small...but not always! I have found some really nice dresses there and I am not exactly small. haha My policy is try on everything you see, because you never know, you may like it!

Im really loving the top two dresses - you can defo style the top dress up with a big belt and possibly wear black tights and finish with some bright shoes? The pink dress is cute- and you could make it not to fancy by adding black tights and bright pink shoes to match (sorry, im loving the whole black tights and bright shoes theme at the mo!)

By the way, I got a sweater dress from Target for my shower, and it actually almost snowed that day so I was glad to have it. It was really flattering (though black which I know you were trying to avoid), but it was also really warm.

On another side note, we just faxed in the first piece of our marriage license yesterday. Are you mailing for yours or getting it when you're down there! It's getting so close now!

i can't believe we are 60 days out! that is so funny, we faxed in our marriage license yesterday also!!! now we are just waiting.

i am going to macy's today after my fitting with my mom to try on a couple of more. i will have my camera and take some pics of the dresses. i am really an indecisive person and always think i will find something better!

So I had my first fitting and of course the dress was HUGE!! I have lost 12 pounds since I ordered it. I also found the style of veil i want but can't decide 2 tier or one. Being Tom checks the disboards, I can't get to into it but if anyone is curious PM me. I also bought the shoes-i did not get the stewart weitzman because it is not realistic to spend that much on wedding shoes. I did get these shoes:

they look the best with the dress and i did not want my shoes to overshadow my dress. the picture does not do them justice.

I figured since i never posted a great picture of my ring, i would.

i absoultely love it and think it is the most beautiful ring in the world. i am hoping to get the matching band. i think we might go this week or next week to get our bands.

that is all for now-less than 60 days out!!! craziness! still so much to do. my circle cutter came so i am going to attempt to do mickey head fan programs this weekend. we also need to start writing our vows as our "reverand" ( tom's best friend who is ordained) is the one that is marrying us and we need to meet with him to go over the ceremony. well it is almost 5 and i am off! i will leave with this:

YANKEES BABY!!! very very excited that my yanks are 2009 world series champions!!! 11 am canyon of heroes!!! brought it home to the boogie down and back to NY!!
