omg girrrrrl i am going through the SAME thing!

The whole flowers thing is driving me nuts! To save the poor souls who read my PJ i've stopped posting most of my crazy indecisive ideas that come into my head!

I like the calla lilies... i think they're beutiful and they are what i originally was going with too.... but i also like the roses with the fuschia and orange colors. I dont know if they would go with the bridesmaid dresses though... hmm... maybe if your bouquet has the fushcia and orange and the BM just have orange? maybe that would work!

Thanks to all of the girls who gave their input so far, I am still unsure but I might be leaning towards the roses. Maybe it's just so I can wear pink shoes. LOL

Also Stephanie, I hate to say this, but I'm glad I'm not the only October bride who is having a complex!! I've got so many complex's going up around me, I look like a real estate magnate!

I think the just orange might work- (although my sister might want just pink for hers-lol. she is the maid of honor)

UPDATE- My favors are here for my actual ceremony! (The candy will be for my home reception)
I decided that in the theme of a Destination wedding- that Luggage tags would be cute. When I found some with little castles on it- it seemed perfect. They already come with a box and a bow- but I think I am going to wrap them (because the box is a little ugly).

Beautiful dress! Sorry you had a bad experience at David's, I used to work there when I was in college and I never understood why they had so few dresses in certain sizes, and you're right, the ones they do have are terrible! Glad you were able to find a dress you loved!

I like the orange calla lilies best for the flowers.

Your ring is so nice!!! I really love it!! I told DF I wanted a gemstone ring instead of a diamond (but he thought I would regret it) but every time I see one I wish I would have pushed him more towards it (although I love anything he gives me).

Your pictures are amazing!! You all look so happy, I had a smile on my face as I was looking at them

I think every bride second guesses what she wants everything to look like. I have changed my mind so many times that I have lost count! Anything you pick will look great! And it is disney, they won't let anything look bad!

I have identity crisis all the time. I am totally indecisive about things. I personally love the pink and orange roses together, but that's b/c I love pink roses. So don't let my opinion get in your way.

Escape Wedding at Sea Breeze Point on October 8, 2009


Me- My name is Stephanie and I am a pre-kindergarten teacher in an inner city school! I love working with my 3,4 and 5 year olds. I grew up in Lancaster PA, but moved last year outside of Harrisburg

My Love- Rashad is and x-ray tech. He grew up in Georgia, but after high school he moved around quite a bit. Thankfully he ended up in Harrisburg.

How we met- We are another Match.com success story. I had just moved to Harrisburg, I didnt know anyone so I went online and he was the first guy I messaged. I read his profile and knew he was perfect for me, and if he would just look at my profile he would see that I was perfect for him too (lol) . It took him 3 agonizing days to respond to me.... which I found out was because that weekend he moved to Baltimore! (and hour and a half away)

We made the long distance thing work for us (thank goodness teachers have the summers off. Rashad moved back to PA to be close to me.

The Wedding- I should have probably mentioned that my Dad is a BIGTIME Disney fan! (for those of you on other disney forums He is HTROUPE). He and my mom had such a great time trick or treating at MK a few years back that they decided to take the whole family (Grandparents, me and my sister and boyfriends included) to Disney World the fall of 2009 to do it again.

Rashad and I talked for a while and decided that this would be a great time for us to get married, with my family all there and his family much closer to Florida than PA. So we booked our wedding! OOPS It was a perfect plan except we forgot to get engaged first.

Proposal On February 14, 2009, I visited Rashad in MD while he was working. He took me to our favorite spot in Inner Harbor. Where we spent a lot of time during the "long distance " part of our relationship. It was freezing cold, and it started snowing. Rashad gave me my Valentines present a box. and when I opened it I saw a beautiful aquamarine necklace. He told me to "Stand up so I can help put it on you" So I did and when I turned around to show him the necklace... he was holding and AMAZING aquamarine engagement ring. And he said "Will you marry me?"

Hey Guys! Thanks so much! You ladies are so sweet!

Here are some updates, I was starting to get a little overwhelmed with the start of the school year, and the final month before the wedding hitting at the same time. (Great planning on my part there) But now school is starting to settle down, my little preschoolers are starting to get the routine, now all I have to do is explain to them that I will be gone for a week, but I am coming back! I have one box packed to send down to Disney in my grandparents' car. It has the favors, the top secret cake topper and the top secret gifts for our bridal party that DFi made me PROMISE I wouldnt post on here! So I will have to wait until the wedding.

I decided to get a conair steamer to steam my dress and the others. It's only 30 bucks from target and it works great! Also I hate ironing, so I plan to use it on a regular basis.

I just finished wrapping the favors, and they look much better than they did with those brown boxes.

And my cat, Baxter helping me out

( I dont know why I thought I could bring ribbon into this house without having some cat interference.)
More updates to follow! Only 18 days until my wedding, 13 days till Disney!

That's awesome! I see you're going to MNSSHP! We are too on the 6th I think! Did you get your costume yet? I just got mine, I'm going to be Little Red Riding Hood! But the funniest one in the whole group has got to be my Dad! He is going as Elvis- and the first time my mom say him she fell off the couch she was laughing so hard! It's going to be a riot!
