Well I am having a hard time getting some of the pictures from our trip, so I thought i would jump to my home reception- and then hopefully get a chance to post some Disney/Wedding stuff in the upcoming days!
My wedding was October 8, 2009. My home reception was October 23, 2009. Let's start with WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WAS I THINKING?

Due to some family issues we planned this party so close to our wedding so that we could accommodate a family member with health issues who had a surgery around Halloween, so we were hoping he would be able to come. Unfortunately that was not the case, but we still managed (SOMEHOW) to get everything done in a very short amount of time.
My original idea for the home reception was something casual (think paper plates), a drop i- so people could talk and see the wedding pictures. But my mom really wanted it to be something special so she went ABOVE and BEYOND!!! Here are some pictures of how amazing everything looked! I love Autumn, so we went with a fall-color scheme!
The only other snafu was that the caterer got sick the week of our wedding and had to be hospitalized. My poor mother literally lost a lot of sleep over this. Fortunately the woman was able to have her family members fill in and cook some of the food and it all worked out in the end. Here is a picture of the buffets (one of hot food, the other is assorted desserts)
My DH (it's so fun to say that) is obsessed with bacon- when he told me he wanted to make bacon cupcakes and chocolate covered bacon for the reception- i was MORE than RELUCTANT! But I was wrong!! Unbelievably it was the hit of the party! Here's a picture (it looks a little like poop).
We also had a candy bar as our favor!
It was an AMAZING night! I am so glad I had it to share with my closest family and friends- and one of the coolest gifts anyone has ever gotten, my friend, Hart wrote us a song and played it for everyone at the reception!
