Staying at OKW this year and ...

we were thinking about our stay at BCV last year. We really enjoyed Beaches and Cream. Do any other OKW members remember the Ice cream parlor that they had in the preview building? Both DH and I had wished that they would have kept that or incorporated into the main pool area.

I agree an ice cream parlor at OKW would be ideal. Mickey bars sometimes hit the spot. Of course, we also have Ghiradelli's a boat ride away at DD for more substantial "snacking". How about SSR -- any ice cream there? (I'm pretty sure they've put ice cream back into the sales pitch at the preview center but I wonder if there's a place open to buy ice cream sundaes etc.?)

Although I haven't been a DVC member long enough to remember the ice cream parlor at OKW, this does sound like a great idea. ANother place where I think an ice cream parlor would fit in beautifully with the theming is HH. After all, isn't Beaches and Cream a nod to ice cream and going to the beach. One of my fondest memories of Cape Cod is having ice cream there every day. Come to think of it, I love ice cream-maybe this is just a plea to have accessibility to ice cream every day!

Well, Good's seems like their counter space is at capacity, Gurgling Suitcase is already pretty small. But, I think they could probably remodel the Turtle Pond snack bar to serve banana splits and sundaes without too much expense.
