As a veteran of all 3 of the official Star Wars Celebrations, I will be attending my first Star Wars Weekend at Disney Studios this year. Official Pix (formerly C2 Ventures) handled the autographs at C3 and the past few Gen Cons, providing very nice color 8x10 pictures of the stars you were getting autographs.

How does Disney handle this? Am I correct in assuming that you need to bring your own pictures for them to sign? If so, I'll order some from Official Pix now and take them with me.

I need all the info I can find on getting the 'real' characters autographs - last year DNeph was only interested in the costumed characters - but this year the actors of his 2 favs will be there on our weekend - the Fetts! I know this will probably take up waaay more time than I wanted to spend standing in lines!

Star Wars Guy - what site can I order pics from? that sounds like a better idea than having them just sign his hat (which is what he wants to do this year, last year he had the characters sign 2 tshirts - one for the Empire/one for the Rebels) - then he will always have the autographed pics of the actors in his scrapbook.

A couple of years ago I got Peter Mayhew's autograph, they had black and white pictures they handed you right before you got to him. It's not high quality but was fine for me.

That's right, the photos are black & white and the photo itself is about 5 x 7 on a rectangular photo sheet that has the actor's name and blank space below the photo. The photo is free, as is the autograph.

We went to Celebration III and were relieved not to have to pay for each photo at SWW--it was DH, DS9 and myself--we each got an autograph pass--and had 3 autographed photos for free, vs. $30 per photo at CIII. Yes, they're not color, but they are professional shots and it was great being able to give 2 of the autographs to DS's 2 rabid Star Wars fan friends who couldn't be there!

Now, here's the really important thing to know: get there early!!! We got there at 8:45 when park opening was at 9 and literally ran to the line for autographs. There are 3 autograph sessions a day. You get in line for a pass to be permitted in one of those session's lines. We got passes for the 4:00 p.m.--the last--session. People who were 3 behind us were out of luck---they were given stand-by passes in case anyone with the guaranteed pass didnt show up. I can't stress enough how critical it is to know where you're going and move fast to get there. I believe the lines for autographs were to the left of Star Tours.

Karla B. :sunny: ---we'll be at SWW May 19th - 21st!!!

The autographs work on a FASTPASS system where you get a ticket that gets you a guaranteed spot in line to get an autograph.

Here's the link to Official Pix

For only $4.99, you get a really nice quality color 8x10 picture. Larger sizes are also available. There are a ton of pictures to choose from. These guys are top notch and have done a great job with Star Wars photos and autographs. If you go this route, you

I've met most of the stars over the years (shared elevators with almost all of them last year at the hotel for C3), however I've never gotten Jeremy Bulloch's autograph yet (always put it off in favor of someone else knowing I'd get it down the road), so it'll be nice to get his at SWW. I'll see you there.
