Star Wars Tales Of The Arcolyte

Vernesta for sure trained him and is now possibly going to be hellbent on covering any and all traces of it in order to preserve the Order. The hint about the Order being in potential peril in the Senate is enough to motivate her to do what it takes to cover the tracks. How far she takes it will remain to be seen.

Caught myself up on the series. It’s decent overall, just a summer filler show that provides some new and cool aspects of the Star Wars Universe that haven’t been on screen before.

We haven't seen a proper Lightsaber/Whip but energy whips have existed in Star Wars for a long time, including Zygerian slavers and Mandalorian Vambraces. Some may have a solid core, but they are similar.

I guess it just never caught on

I am not so sure.
They make a point to show Cortosis veins in the rock, so it's wherever he was mining Cortosis. One of my bloggers pointed out that it could be another planet that had rocky islands and a Cortosis mine, one with connections to Plageus - the name escapes me though.
I think you are thinking of Bal'demnic which has a connection to Tenebros and Plageius
Bal'demnic was an ocean planet adorned with rocky tropical islands in the Bak'rofsen system of the Auril sector, located within the Outer Rim Territories.

I know we've touched on this before but I really don't like the run times of the episodes. If they were going with the once a week release schedule, they should have made longer episodes. House of the Dragon is doing this and, for me at least, the longer run time really gives the show time to breathe and not feel as choppy. If they were going to do shorter episodes then they should have just released them all at the same time, like Hulu did with The Bear. Those episodes are short like the Acolyte but it didn't bother me as much because it allowed me to binge a few episodes each day.

Just another 5-10 minutes on some of these episodes would help.

I am getting the feeling of a season 2 set up.... there are 2 episodes left, seems like a lot to wrap up .....
next episode will be Sol's therapy venting... and Osha flirting with the bad boy. I do like his exotic tropical Sithy man cave though...

Vernestra seems to be able to force read, she was hearing the saber battle so I think she knows at least what really happened, but there defiantly was an allusion to some sort of Jedi council trouble
I did very much enjoy this episode, but it's all due to
Qimir. He is the most interesting, and exciting SITH/force user in a long time. I'm just so intrigued, by everything he's saying, and doing. I didn't pick up that the scar was possibly from a whip, so yeah, I think he's encountered Vernestra...maybe as apprentice, maybe something else? . How old is he? he said he was really old...is this really his true from? . I wish the whole episode had been just him and Osha, or at least, long continuous scenes of them. I can't stand all the back and forth. I thought that bathing scene was unexpectedly sensual for Star Wars, like Greek mythology, or many movies, where someone is watching another bathe like that. Very well done. I still love Sol, but I thought his scenes could've been a little better scripted. But I like the shot of him just sitting there, waiting for Mae to wake. Vernestra is a very interesting character, but just terrible acting/delivery. She's twice now not told the council what's going on, and said as much, and now this episode talking to the representative about inquiries. She's totally going to cover it all up. Bazel got on my nerves, as most Star Wars creatures do....I really felt his comic relief scenes were misplaced. I wanted to keep the seriousness of the episode for longer amounts of time.

I don't have many preconceived notions or knowledge of anything from the High Republic books, any comic series, or even KOTOR, although DH played KOTOR. So, it's interesting to read what people who are more familiar think about it all.I don't really know much of Plagueis, or anything about Tenebrous.
Despite some bad dialogue again, (Osha was surprisingly better in her last few scenes,) I can't wait until next week to see what happens. I didn't think I'd be saying that when this all started.

Not SW related at all, but the actor that played Mog, the Jedi with Vernestra, was in the last season of this series The Outlaws on Prime. That was a good series overall, if anyone looking for something to watch.

Oh cool, I didn't catch that it was vein of that ore in the rocks. Yeah, probably that planet that is connected to him.

Re: the lightwhip, the Legends character Lumiya used one both in the old Marvel comics and in the Legacy of the Force novel series, but I think it was drawn differently, with many tendrils instead of just one stream of light.

Who’s ready for tonight?!? We better finally find out what happened on Brendock. Hope it’ll be well done. I have my doubts each episode, but I’m hoping Sol and the flashback will be good . And maybe get more Stranger.I’m hopeful

LOL also counting down until 9. Also hope we finally get the full Brendok story and some wookie action

oh my....

now that was the Kelnacca action I wanted to see, excellent fight... oh Sol, I did not know you were so needy and screwed the pooch on this whole thing, and poor bratty Torbin . I liked the episode

Well....

That was something. I guess it was about as expected. It all makes sense, but I am honestly not sure about character motivtion. Like, what is Torbin's deal? He's a terrible Jedi! I do liek that they explained a possibility why Sol can't tell Osha and Mae apart - their Midichlorians are all in sycnh. Anyway, it's about as I expected whit plenty of blame to go around. Still, the coven - I feel liek they are dark siders, right? Fear and sacrifices, black smoke monsters....yeah. I think there's a reason Osha wanted out of that cuckoo clock factory.

I also didn't like that this was another complete flashback episode. I mean, Osha putrs on that helmet and we get...this? Pacing remains a huge issue in this show.

Agree. A 2nd full blown flashback episode being the penulatimate is going to get some rightful blowback. I think the coven wasn't evil per se but wanted to be left alone and used dark side tendencies like temptation to get what they wanted. The mother could fully read Torbin and knew how to tempt him. I'm confused what the mother was going to do with Mae when she turned into the apararition. Weirdly, how does Mae not remember that more distinctly? Why wouldn't she tell Osha that Sol killed their mother, instead of "our mother is dead"? One more to tie this all up seems like a bit of a tall order.

I’ll probably rewatch tomorrow. Mixed reaction in this household. DS and DH gave thumbs down said it was stupid, and basically ‘that was all, after all this buildup.” DD said it was ok . I gave it thumbs up . Good elements outweighed bad and my expectations . Will try and put together my thoughts. I did like a longer episode all dedicated to one storyline / the flashback

Flashback? They just replayed episode 1 (for a 3rd time) with a couple more details. How does a metal and cement mountain burn down by the way? How could anybody be that obsessed with 2 kids they literally just met? And this "Jedi" team seems like the "C Team" at best. I'm trying but just dont get any of this. Maybe the finale will....I don't even know what to wonder. Is there something we're even wondering will happen?

I thought she was apparating them both to safety.

On the same thought, what happened to Mother Koril after she de materialized?

C team? Except Indara. Didn’t her jedi mind trick wipe out the entire group controlling Kelnacca? I’d have to rewatch, but I think she simulated snapped their necks?

Overall, I liked the episode. I’d rather it focus on one story at a time then switching between characters too much. They could have edited the recaps down in comparison to the new content.

It seemed like they completely rewrote Mae’s reaction with the fire scene. She was more vicious when we first saw the scene. It made me think they were showing from Mae’s point of view because the last episode the twins both remember it differently. But the whole episode was suppose to be a retelling of the truth, not points of view.
