Star Wars Rides and "Roughness"

I have some medical issues with my rides I need to be careful.

Disney's site lists both Star Wars Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon as: thrill ride, small drops, dark, loud

There is no black and white for me of what is ok vs not, but can someone describe the rides in terms of "roughness" and speed? I can do small drops and the odd bump, but if the ride is overall bumpy I probably should avoid it (e.g. Dinosaur from what I've been told).

I avoid traditional rollercoasters where it goes up a big hill and then drops back down. (I will avoid Expedition Everest but Big Thunder is a maybe as it's more swoops and turns)

Need to also be careful of quick accelerations.

I've tried watching you tube videos but it's hard to tell. Not a Star Wars fan but would love to be able to ride them with my family.

Thanks.

Millenium Falcon is probably a no-go for you. It's a bumpy simulator ride, and some of the action is caused by what the other folks in your 6 person cabin do with their "flight controls".

Rise of the Resistance is much smoother, with a small drop at the end when your escape pod jettisons from the Imperial Cruiser. Most of the ride is a trackless vehicle on a smooth concrete floor. There is a standing room only shuttle toward the beginning of the ride; it gets pulled in by a tractor beam, but I don't recall it being particularly bumpy.

All recollections from riding in Jan and Dec 2020, so not super recent.

How are you with star tours or pandora flight of passage? That would be a good guide to how you would tolerate Millennium Falcon they are similulation rides that are very similar.

now Rise of the Resistance the other poster is correct only one small drop and it’s smooth. Do not miss this ride. I like you don’t like drop roller coaster rides and I love it.

I would also suggest that you go on you tube in today’s world you can spoil the surprise of the rides because someone has videoed the ride and you can now know what to expect and can be prepared for when they come. Helped me tremendously.

Rise of the Resistance is smooth, I don't think you will have any issues at all. The completely immersive theming helps distract you from any movement too.

Smuggler's Run is just a simulator. It doesn't run on a track at all, but the compartment will shake if you crash into something. The bumps are less intense than Star Tours in my opinion, and way less rough than Dinosaur.

I definitely felt the drop on ROTR. My back was sore on/off for a couple months afterwards. DH has serious back issues and was fine so go figure!

RotR has a few swift turns in addition to the very short drop. I didn’t remember MFSR being bumpy, but as mentioned earlier it might depend on what the pilots do! Neither one is anywhere near as rough as Dinosaur.

Haven't been on pandora yet. Was on Star Tours once at Disneyland. It's a "maybe" ride. Haven't decided yet if I'll give it a try this time. My eyes are stable from my last appointment but also have had changes the past couple years since our WDW and DL trip so need to be careful.

Great...a single drop in Rise of the Resistance should be fine, as Pirates is ok.

So while I felt the drop on ROTR, it was a lot smoother than I thought it would be.
millenium falcon is definitely a no go for you. Regardless of if the pilots are terrible or amazing, it’s gonna be rough.
Star tours could also possibly be a no go depending on how you handle 4D rides

Really appreciate the replies. For Millennium Falcon, is it something I can stand in line with my family and then there is some kind of chicken exit? Or is it more "I'll meet up with you an an hour?"

Thanks. Too bad, but yeah, seems like I shouldn't chance it with millennium falcon.
Will probably ride ROTR. Of course, that's the one with the fee.

All rides at WDW have a chicken exit. After you leave the room where the Hondo Tanaka audio animatronic tells you what the mission is, tell the CM who is dividing riders into groups of six.
