Resort Thread STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

He also said to wait till 60 days to make reservations for things like droid, oga cantina, lightsaber…. And to definitely book through them vs on your own because they’ll have all that available in groups for those onboard and will be available at times that make sense for ship activities.

Interesting, my takeaway from my conversation last night was that we were advised to make arrangements at 60days out because there was no way all the passengers were going to all fit in certain places/experiences during pre-defined times. Maybe I misunderstood the conversation though. I mean, I guess it can't hurt to have two Oga's reservations? I'm not planning on doing Savi's or Droids.... so folx on my sailing can have my spot!

Thanx on thehead's up for the 03/01 reappearance. I'm on hold in the silent queue... (in space no one can hear hold muzak)... when I started the hold 03/01 was still showing as available to the agent. Now.... we'll see once I get through the queue. Perseverance pays off.... in cheesecake? Can we slip in a Golden Girls reference in a Star Wars thread? ;)

EDIT: 7:40pm, been on silent hold for 2hour 20minutes so far. I cna see why folx would think that they'd been forgotten, and hang up to try again. I guess I'll keep the hold though, the wait time did indicate it would be over 2 hours.... I am One with the Force, and the Force is with me. (Or a nice sized icecream shake will be with me.... or apple cider donut. I should have dinner, me thinks... ;)

Anyone else do the online checkin yet? Just did ours and clicked edit for room request... selected Close to Captains Quarters option...very cool... 2nd option I selected close to brig
oooOOOOooohh.... I would totally go for the Brig. I mean scoundrels and villains are always more fun! ;) then again... I think my avatar (that's me!) shows I'm a teeeeny bit biased and lack *ahem* "proper perspective" in that estimation. ;) :D

Yeah... you're totally right. I'm thinking they'll be less fun if they are more focused on themselves, their streams, their pictures than the people around them. But I suspect there'll also be a fair amount of them on the second voyage, too. I've done immersive theatre for fun as well as professionally. To the point made upthread- regardless of what someone is wearing or not wearing, people come in with an attitude of playing along with others and/or being a Bantha's Behind! I think there'll be a good enough mix that I can deal with the poodoo from people that don't want to co-create story, and definitely mix n' mingle with the ones that do! (At least on the first voyage I know my room will be ready. No Turnover, No Wait!) ;) Now where did I put that antique armoire door? hmmmm....

I just tried to update my check-in, based on this, and it showed that my room selection was already made (The 1st & 2nd option blocks were de-activated). Could that be because we chose the Galaxy Suite upgrade???

We’re in a standard cabin and the room option blocks are empty when I look, no choices to pick, not even greyed out ones.

Well, it's been 3hours 30 minutes on the silent hold line. Almost 9pm EST and I assume they close shop at some point soon. I'm guessing my call got lost in cellblock 1138?

EDIT10pm. call picked up after 4.5hr hold time. 3/1 was not available (sold out) when I spoke with reservationist at 9:50pm. They checked the main website and it showed as sold out. Maybe our websites had old cache or maybe it sold out again while I was on hold? Triage agent did show availability during the intake. I refreshed a few times and I saw it available. By the time the call picked up I was already in bed with computer off so I couldn’t verify. Night all!

After 4.5 hours (27 minutes to get through initial screening), got 5/2 to 5/4/2022 for 4 adults in a standard cabin for $6,634 using AP line. Captain's table sold out the week before and the current week.

It's a good question! I had read that gratituties were included in the cruise pricing. The fiscal number I gave was the final price quoted- I made sure to ask, "so this figure includes taxes, fees and gratuities"?

if it includes gratuities, that would be great! I’d love to see that in writing, though. I don’t want to accidentally stiff any waitstaff.

EDIT: I checked the email, and found this blurb:
611498

I wish they would speak in more clear language like “dinner gratuities included”. “Plus gratuities” to me, means the amount you paid, plus whatever gratuities you will be including, later. Very confusing. Also, what about the other meals? They need a new copywriter.

Would all breakfast and lunches be considered quick service? I know one of the meals is at Docking Bay 7 in Batuu, which is definitely quick service, just don't know about the rest.

right. I think there’s a voucher for Docking Bay 7 or one of the quick serve restaurants around HS. Breakfast must be a quick serve inside the Cruiser, then.

If the website is kept current, both 03/01 and 03/03 are sold out. May the force be with all y'all trying for bookings today! :yoda:

I think breakfast and lunches would be more like QS than a sit down meal with a server. I am a bit confused on when the 2nd lunch is for. Is that arrival day?

The second lunch must be arrival day, since you can arrive as early as 1pm and second seating dinner is 8pm. That’s too long for them to not feed you.

There was an afternoon snack session mentioned for arrival day, but I agree, you'd have to think lunch would be available upon arrival since they kick you out before 10 on departure day.

I did online check in for a standard room and didn’t see any options for room request or room location. Any chance somebody can provide a quick guide of how to access this area during checkin?

For reference, I only see Messages During Your Vacation, Your Voyage Arrival, Voyage Account Charges, Voyage Account PIN, and Address.
