I did online check in for a standard room and didn’t see any options for room request or room location. Any chance somebody can provide a quick guide of how to access this area during checkin?

For reference, I only see Messages During Your Vacation, Your Voyage Arrival, Voyage Account Charges, Voyage Account PIN, and Address.

No worries! Chalk it up to me being a Disney newbie . The cause of my confusion is that the My Disney Experience app doesn’t even have those buttons at all (greyed out or not). I just noticed them on the website and put down a preference for my trip in 2 weeks, so your comment made my next stay a little bit better!

FYI - I started a Roll Call page on Post #2. I skimmed the posts over the last few days and think I captured everyone that posted a date, but could have easily missed folks so please chime in with any errors or omissions.

Wonder how pre-sales lined up with expectations. Looking at the available dates, it looks like only 5 nights sold out.

I called the AP number at 4 yesterday and managed to get through with under 10 min wait. Then was on hold for 30 mins getting transferred over to the Starcruiser booking. Seems like maybe the initial rush died off...?

I have to say, the prices are pretty jaw dropping - for 3 adults / 2 kids, the total was $7679 with no addons. That is more than we have ever spent all-up on a week long Disney vacation (family of 4 staying at Deluxe resorts and eating well). Not sure I will keep the reservation, having a hard time justifying the cost -- especially given I will assume they will be working out the kinks initially and I have to wonder if they will be forced to drop the price on this longer term...

Still have Disney Visa presale this week, so that's good that only 5 days sold out. Will be interesting to see if any more sell out after this week.

I was kinda hoping they'd open it up to explore other areas in the Galaxy. I mentioned this on Twitter and the only person to respond complained that it wouldn't work because the other parks aren't Star Wars, which while true, does everything have to be Star Wars to explore the galaxy? I don't know, just seems fun.

I cannot afford Starcruiser but I am a Disney Visa cardholder and didn't get an email.

I thought in the days leading up to and during the presale that there was not going to be as much demand as once thought. The reason I thought this was looking at social media interaction this time around...Look at when they 1st announced the pricing...the internet was a buzz..but for the wrong reasons...it was bad reactions, but reactions none the less. If you look at most twitter and social media posts in the past week....there was not much interaction with the public...meaning that popular websites and bloggers were posting stuff and maybe getting a few re-tweets or a few likes...just not there.

Do I think it is a sign of issues? Yes somewhat....but not for the reasons most think. I booked the 4th of May for 2 reasons...1 because it is the 4th of May, and 2 because I really do want to see what the execution is before I actually arrive and commit to the expense. Lets face it, they really did not handle the pre-sale well and if you ask me, Disney as a whole has not handled a lot well lately for various reasons. I know that when we left Space 220 on the weekend of the 50th opening...my wife and I were like...eh...hope they do a better job of the space atmosphere on Galactic Starcruiser!! We also were not that impressed with the fireworks stuff at MK or Epcot. So more than people coming...I am more concerned with people being disappointed in the product.

I do think that midway thru this project...Disney started wondering what they got themselves into from the pandemic standpoint. What I mean by that is this....I hope that the experience they had planned was not altered by circumstances beyond their control. Only time will tell, I hope we will all be blown away as this experience has a lot to live up to.

Whats your thinking here? The other downside of being a star cruiser guinea pig is that you won't be able to get reviews prior to being inside cancellation penalty window. So you will be out the full cost 90 days out and if you cancel once the first reviews come out, you are looking at only getting 50% of your money back

With the insurance you can cancel right up until the day of arrival and get 100% of your money back minus the $85.00 per adult for the cost of the insurance. You can cancel for any reason…sick, work, school…anything.
So if only costing 171.00 to cancel vs. costing $6500 for a bad experience…..I am ok with that

I would double check to make sure that's accurate. The documentation I received states the following:

Trip Cancellation must be due to one of the following reasons:

1. Your, a Family Member’s, a Traveling Companion’s, a Traveling Companion’s Family Member’s, or a Business Partner’s death, that occurs before departure on Your Trip; or
2. Your, a Family Member’s, a Traveling Companion’s, a Traveling Companion’s Family Member’s or a Business Partner’s covered Sickness or Injury, that: a) occurs before departure on Your Trip; b) requires Medical Treatment at the time of cancellation; and c) as certified by a Physician, results in medical restrictions so disabling as to cause Your Trip to be cancelled; or
3. for Other Covered Events, as defined;

“Other Covered Events” means:
1. You or Your Traveling Companion being hijacked, quarantined, required to serve on a jury (notice of jury duty must be received after Your Effective Date), served with a court order to appear as a witness in a legal action in which You or Your Traveling Companion is not a party (except law enforcement officers);

1. Your or Your Traveling Companion’s primary place of residence or destination is made Uninhabitable, by fire, flood, or other Natural Disaster, or vandalism;
2. You or Your Traveling Companion being directly involved in a traffic accident, substantiated by a police report, while en route to Your scheduled point of departure;
3. Inclement Weather that causes complete cessation of services of the Common Carrier on which You or Your Traveling Companion are scheduled to travel;
4. Strike that causes complete cessation of services of the Common Carrier on which You or Your Traveling Companion are scheduled to travel;
5. Your or Your Traveling Companion’s involuntary employment termination or layoff. Employment must have been with the same employer for at least 1 continuous year;
6. You or Your Traveling Companion who are military, police or fire personnel being called into emergency service to provide aid or relief for a Natural Disaster;
7. revocation of Your or Your Traveling Companion’s previously granted military leave or re-assignment, except war. Official written notice of the revocation or re-assignment by a supervisor or commanding officer of the appropriate branch of service will be required.

So according to that, changing your mind won't get you any money back.

Has anyone received an email regarding the Disney Visa presale? Or even official confirmation that there is one? Also, do we know the dates for that presale? We’re not planning to go until next November so I don’t want to wake up at 5am and hold for 8 hours just to find out I can’t book yet.

FWIW I think May 4 is THE best date to go and it's already sold out. I think you are guaranteed to have a good time as it should be a fan filled trip.

When we submitted a claim for trip insurance, there were various forms to fill out, including one from the attending physician stating why we couldn’t travel and when that problem was first identified.

Your, a Family Member’s, a Traveling Companion’s, a Traveling Companion’s Family Member’s or a Business Partner’s covered Sickness or Injury, that: a) occurs before departure on Your Trip; b) requires Medical Treatment at the time of cancellation; and c) as certified by a Physician, results in medical restrictions so disabling as to cause Your Trip to be cancelled;

This quote from the SW:GS insurance makes me believe it will be similar - you can’t just say you’re sick, you’ll have to have a physician sign a form stating that you were so sick you couldn’t travel.

The presale will not be for dates that far out. It will probably include same travel dates as the other presales, throughly the May 4 cruise. But as far as an official message, the only thing that says Disney Visa would have a presale is the Disney Parks blog

a doctor’s note would be required. I’m sure you couldn’t just say you were sick and they would be ok.
