Since Feb, I've lost about 20 lbs. I'm pretty excited about that, but have another 20 or so to go to be where I want to be.

I'm in Weight Watchers, but haven't done well for the past 3-4 weeks. Haven't regained but 1 lb, but still, that's not the direction I want to go.

I know I've become lazy with keeping track of points, mean planning, and it's too stinking hot for exercise. I am the queen of excuses.

Anyone been where I am? How did you get yourself restarted?

I am there with you... almost the same exact situation but yesterday I said, THATS IT, NO MORE EXCUSES. I planned my breakfast and lunch so I was able to pack them up in my lunch box today. I agree its too hot to exercise but I thought about it and said I can leave the air conditioner on and use my Wii. My DH said, even if you only do it for 15 minutes, thats 15 minutes more than you have done all month. thanks love ;)

Sounds like we both need some motivation.

I know what you mean. I have lost about half of what I want.to lose and I have stalled. I have been gaining and losing the same two pounds since May. I am trying to change the foods I have been eating and trying to stay away from process foods. I equally think it's important to track and plan. Just hang in there. Eventually things will go in the positive direction.

You CAN'T stop! Keep going! Think about how bad it would feel to go back to where you were, just because you stopped now.

Maybe change things up! What exercises are you doing? What are you eating?
What are your goals? Not just in fitness but in life? Do you have them written down?

Let's work together and change some things up and get you back to your REAL self, not the person you were when you had an extra 20 pounds on you.

Jim Rohn said it best - "You can't hire someone else to do your push ups for you"

So true! Think of the journey you are on. The things you can tell your friends and family. Who is overweight that you know that may be looking to your for inspiration since you lost weight? There's gotta be someone, 70% of Americans are now overweight.

I've been right there too. I had to find my "why" as in "why" I am motivated to get up every morning and exercise. Mine was helping others to reach their goals too! I am a coach. I coach hockey and golf, I was overweight and couldn't call myself a coach anymore... who would follow a fat fitness instructor? You have to be a product of the product. So I said "enough!" and jumped into coaching for Beachbody.

Now, i am in the best shape of my life and I am helping motivate people to their goals!

C'mon! You're not in this alone! Let's dive in and lose that last 20 pounds!

Jason, thank you so much for your message. And sorry it took me so long to respond! You are a great motivational speaker/poster! ;) Sounds like you are a great coach, too.

I started my weight loss because my mother died in Dec from weight related issues (she was diabetic, which damaged her kidneys. She blood sugar dropped too low because her kidneys weren't filtering one of her medications properly, and she went into a coma. She never woke up.) While I am no where near what her weight was, I had allowed my weight to creep up several pounds per year. I do not want to go through what she went through with her back problems, diabetes, kidney problems, etc, the last couple years of her life.

I need to get back to eating like I did when I first started... and that was a LOT of vegetables. In the last week, I'm not sure if I've had more than two servings. In the whole week. I was eating 4-5 servings a day.

It's too freaking hot to even think about exercise, though. It's just not going to happen again until it cools off. Blech. Times like this I wonder why I live in Texas. But I will commit to getting back on track, and to be ready to start back with the exercise when it cools a bit.

Thank you, again. I appreciate you taking the time to leave that message.

I'm so sorry about your mom. That's a tough experience to have. My whole immediate family is overweight and borderline diabetic. My mom, dad, brother, sister, their kids (which saddens me, but they eat what their parents give them :( even their spouses are overweight and unhealthy.

So, I feel ya. Not too long before I lose someone too for the same reason.

What about working out inside? Doesn't take much space and you can do 10 minutes or 1 hour, whatever and stay in the AC.

Glad to help, let me know! Just don't give up and don;t think you're alone!

You dont need to go outside to exercise!! My Weight Watchers coach said one day this one day; " get up during the commercials and walk in place". I thought that sounded so silly but I did it. It really makes you realize that there are more commercials than shows. I soon started just walking during the show, just marching in place. Than I would run it place, than I put my ipod on and ran in place increasing speed. I swear that helped me drop these 20 lbs without really cursing exercise.

When I told my friend what I was doing she told me what she uses, its Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home - 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk, she swears by it. She doesnt have to leave the house.

Also for veggie intake, try Garden Lites if you have them in your area, they are veggie souffles and soooooo good.

Good Luck... :)

Get yourself a pair of hand weights, too. I have a pair of 5 pound weights, and when I am watching TV, I will do different exercises with them. I will also do push ups and sit ups during commercials as well.

Commit TODAY. Succeed Tomorrow. Failure to Commit now leads to failure tomorrow!

As the PP said, get up and move in the house. Go out pre dawn for a walk. Go out at dark. Excuses are only for those who make them. I am not meaning to sound crass or mean but the longer you allow excuses to get in the way the more likely you are to never make the commitment to change. You are making great changes on the diet so push through the wall and get tough on the workouts. Walking. Sitting on a ball instead of a chair. Park as far from the door as possible at the store. No hand weights, use cans of veggies. Move.

Sweetie, I am right there with you, -44(6)lbs since February but since Mid June, just hanging.

I am lucky that me and Mom are working on this together, she is doing a program and I am doing meal plan and exercise.

I am thinking of changing my exercise routine and adding swimming and have thrown in some reps of the hand weight exercises just like BT99. Although I know I am getting 2-3 veg a day, I was doing much better with 4-5 a day.
