My family is considering staying at one of the tree houses at SSR. Was wondering if anyone ever stayed there and their experiences especially with the WDW transportation system especially the buses since we won't have a car. If we stay there we will have 6 adults and one 7 year old child. Thank you for all the answers ahead of time.

The Treehouses have a separate bus to get you to the Springs stop where you then catch the bus to whatever location is your destination. They were running very regularly when we were there - approx 20 minutes but it does add an extra step to your travel so you need to allow a little more time. You also could have the option of walking over to the Grandstand bus stop - best if you are in the south end of the Treehouses. It wouldn't really save much if any time however since that bus would then continue around the rest of the resort before leaving for the parks.

You know one of the bedrooms only has a set of bunk beds, right? A bit small for two adults. But you still have the queen sleeper sofa and twin sleeper chair in the living room.

We had a tree house in 2013 that was close to the path to the Grandstands. We easily walked to the Grandstand Bus stop every day. Just request either close to pool or close to Grandstands. Only one problem when we returned very late at night, they had turned on the sprinklers

We also requested a treehouse near the Grandstand/Pool. We were located right off of the walkway through the golf course to the Grandstand. We enjoyed our beautiful walk to the bus stop each day. I DID, however, almost get pegged in the head with a golf ball, so be aware! :duck:

And we did see resort buses frequently drive through the treehouses. (To take guests to SSR to catch a bus) We just chose to walk since we were right by the path.

Enjoy! We loved our treehouse experience. Lots of grilling and sitting out on the deck.

Loved staying in the Treehouses. It is an easy walk to SSR....or you can take a boat to Downtown Disney from Treehouses also. There is a nice pool within the Treehouse complex also for your use.

We stayed in one during Spring Break this past March. Its a quick walk to the Grandstand bus stop at SSR from our unit but we didn't have to because a bus as always driving through by the time we would make it down the stairs at the bus stop right next to our treehouse. This bus takes you to the Springs stop next to the main pool and check in area. Then you catch a bus to your desired park. We wouldn't stay in a treehouse villa again but it wasn't because of the bus system. They're lovely but I'd rather stay in a 2 bedroom villa.
