Okay I need some input here....

We are in the paperwork process on a new SSR purchase for 175 points. We took the $10/point discount to make our down-payment 20%. My question is about the other incentive to add-on 130 points and get the AP's.

I may be misreading it, but it sounds like some new purchasers are getting the AP's too because they are buying more than 130 points. Is this true? We would certainly like to get those...that's and $800 savings for us!

Can someone clarify this for me before I call our guide to check it out?

The AP incentive is for existing members only, doing an add-on. Now, if you are a new member purchasing more than 280 points, you could technically break it up into two contracts, one 150 the other at least 130 to qualify for the AP's, but that's about it. If you are a new member purchasing less than 280 points, and don't think about breaking up the contracts, you won't get them.

If you think you may want to add - on, and up your points to 280, then I would take advantage of both offers!!! Do the first 150 points and I bet if you tell your guide what you want to do, you can do both at one time, you may have two contracts, but no big deal becaue they will be the same use years!

I guess you could also go resale for a DVCI 50 pt contract and then add-on 130 points to get the incentive. Of course, you would have to wait until you passed ROFR and closed. I would only consider this if you wanted really wanted to own two resorts. Closing costs would hurt but you would save on the price per point on SSR vs. DVCI.

Thanks for the info.....can't afford an add-on right now so we'll just have to forego the deal and those AP's.
