It's small and the only access to it is through the dining area. Much smaller than I expected (though I'm not sure why as I knew those huge windows in the buildings had to be the GVs.
Check out this picture. Look at the 2 story windows. The next set of widows on the right is the dining room. See the balcony with the red awning/top that juts out to the right from the side of the building? That's the GV balcony. I think there is a picture out there somewhere with a more close up view. I'll look for it.
When I first realized the size of the balcony...I was looking for some way they could have made a bigger, more impressive balcony. It would have been great for the dining area and the master BR to stick out further from the building, creating a great recessed spot for a deck between them (in front of the two-story window). But alas...no place for any kind of roof to shade from the sun (due to the window)...plus it would have changed the configuration of the 1BR and studio below the GV.

Wow. I was confused about where the balcony was. I guess if we do choose to stay in a GV i can grab a cup of coffee in the morning and enjoy it on the balcony. It's nice to sit on the balcony, enjoy the veiw and savor the moment. Thanks for the picture. Susan
