Hi all!

We are checking into SSR on Sunday and have a question for those who have visited recently. We have not stayed at SSR since shortly after in opened. Are there luggage carts at each building yet? There weren't when we stayed and we made many trips back and forth from the car unloading/loading during check-in/check-out and don't want to do that again especially now that we have all the babay stuff as well. If not, are Bell Services offered to deliver luggage to our room?

Thanks for any help you may offer!

We stayed at SSR for the first time the beginning of November ('06) and there weren't any luggage carts in the buildings. We had bell services bring us our luggage when our room was finally ready and they were SLOW. We waited for over 2 hours for our luggage. :confused3 Needless to say, we will lug our own luggage around the next time.

In May, we had an Expedition full of stuff. When we checked in, our room was not ready yet, so we went to DTD for lunch and came back. Once it was ready, I went to the front desk, asked for a bellman to come help and STOOD there til one came. DH and the kids headed back to CP while I was waiting and I rode on the cart with the bellman.

At the desk, they said, "you can go to the room and they will be up"

I smiled nice and big and said, "no, its ok, I dont mind waiting" :teeth:

I think we would have been waiting longer had I not stood there.

If you are talking about the gold colored carts that bell services loads up your luggage onto, they are kept in the hands of bell services and are not available for guests to use by themselves. SSR does have elevators, so that does help.

We checked in Saturday, Nov 25, and I would say that Bell Services has not improved. :sad2: Our room was not ready when we arrived, so our luggage was kept at Bell Services. About 2 hours later, when the room was ready, one individual in the party went to Bell Services with the claim check and asked for the luggage and to have it delivered to our room. He stayed with the luggage and during a 30 minute period asked 2 different individuals how long it would be before someome picked up the luggage for delivery.

Finally at the 30 minute mark he asked a third person if he could just take the cart to the room and the bell services guy asked what room he was in as he had been waiting around to help someone. He then got his cart, loaded up the luggage and brought it directly to the room. :confused3 They really seem to be unorganized.

After we got to the room he returned to the check-in area and asked to speak to the supervisor as he wanted to let them know what happened. But, he was told that the supervisor was busy and they took his name and room number and would have the supervisor call him. Not sure if he ever did talk to the supervisor.

Thanks for the tips! We know SSR has elevators, but with an SUV full of stuff, it will take us about ten trips since one of us has to stay in the room with the baby.
