Day 6 – Saturday 17th December

Today was a relaxing day as yesterday we managed to do 3 WDW parks. MK, Epcot and finally MGM.
We were shattered as it was a early start yesterday.
DD and DBF were flying home today, I woke up at 7am just to give her a ring and say goodbye again etc.

Everybody was awake, so the TV went on and we started to watch the news and weather. The weather was forecast rain, but still warm.
I left mousekeeping’s envelope under the Christmas tree.

Shopping was on the agenda today then. We have not ate at McDonald’s yet so we will go there for breakfast. The one at the Crossroads is the one that we chose as it’s on the way to LBV outlets.

DD2 and DH have sausage and egg McMuffins, hash browns and OJ. I have the sausage Mcgriddle…yummy cost $10
Arrived at LBV outlets 9:55am the shops were just starting to open. Walked around the Old Navy where a t’shirt was purchased.
Then next stop was the Disney outlet. Bought a keyring for myself and DD2 bought some presents for her friends back home.
It was really strange in here as TCD have their early checkin at the back of the shop so there were loads of people coming in with huge cases!
After the visit to Disney outlet. We then head off up the OBT to super target. On the way we run low on gas. We end up paying $2.15 then back on track and get to super target. There is a great little tracfone here for $20 which we buy. It’s a Nokia 1100, which is ok for us to use while we are on holiday and it’s much smaller and lighter than the brick we are using now! After target we couldn’t be bothered to look anywhere else. DD2 wasn’t feeling too well so she wanted to sit in the car, we just decided to head back to the room and chill.
DD1 text messaged to say that she was at the airport.

Back to the room when DD2 announced that she was running short on trousers and would I wash some for her.
We watched some TV and I asked her to go and find out how much everything was for the laundry.
$2.00 for a washer $2.00 for 30 mins drying and $1.00 for a 1 wash packet of washing powder.
So off we went to do some washing. DH said he would go and get the coffee and meet me at the Levee. (laundry)
They actually have a front loading washing machine which I prefer as I think the USA machines tangle all of the washing! So I used this one.
We deicide to have a wander around the resort while the washing is doing is cycle.
Speaking of cycles the bike hire place is shut and you can only hire them from Riverside! Not much good when you are staying here.

We watch the DTD boat docking and people getting off and drinking our coffee.

Then we have a walk passed the pool to the end of the resort. It’s a very short walk. We take a slow walk back and take some photos. This is really a great little resort and it is very compact.

Back to the laundry and the washing is finished. I don’t like drying things in the dryer, I never do this at home as I think the clothes come out really creased. So back to the room where trousers are hung on hangers to dry.

We then pay for 24 hours of internet, very easily done. Had a quick look on the boards and had a conversation with family on MSN well it saves on phone calls.
After our conversation we head off over the Beach Club so we can eat at Beaches and Cream. We have our quick and casual vouchers to use here.

We get to the Beach club and it’s packed, managed to find a parking space right at the end of the resort car park.
Got to Beaches and Cream and waited to be seated.
day6038.jpg

We were told that there was a 30 min waiting time to which we say ok. Then she asked if we wanted to sit at the table, both or bar? We said booth if possible, so she said that there would be a longer wait and we said ok. So pager in hand we thought we’d have a little walk around and took a menu to have a look at.
About 20 mins later we were just walking back to the podium and our pager went off. We were then shown to a table, to which we said that we asked for a booth. Back outside and another pager was given to us. This time we sat at the table just outside Beaches and Cream. We were sat there for 5 mins and the pager went off again. This time we were shown to a booth, the CM apologised for the mix up.
We showed our server the quick and casual vouchers and she told us what we could have.
Any soft drink, main course and a desert.
I had a diet coke, as did DH. DD2 had a sprite. Main course DD2 had a hot dog with fries, I had a cheeseburger with fries and DH had beef and pepper sandwich with onion rings. We all ate our food it was nice.

Now for the desert. DD2 wanted a milk shake for her dessert, I have the mud slide browny thingy and DH had the banana split.

We were very very full after all of that. We waddled out of there and the plan was to have a walk round the boardwalk and back to the car, however we really couldn’t move so it was back to the car and then back to the room.

The car park was really full and there was a load of people checking in.
Looks like it's getting busy!
