Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

i did comment on all of these on friday but looks like it didnt save it.

Dan, the pictures of Hawaii are breathtaking. Mark and I really need to make a return trip there one day (it's been 28 years since we were there...just wish there was another way than flying ;) ).

Sorry about the tire trouble on the way home; but the good news is NO one was hurt.

Can't wait for your wrap-up.
you could always take a cruise over and then stay for a few days and then cruise home.
:thumbsup2

wait till you see poor little parker on the way home for the hawaii wrap up.
:sad1:

Still hard to believe I really haven't been on the DIS regularly for about 16 months:eek:. But God knew what needed to happen! Thanks for your support Dan!

we know that you would have been here if you could jordan but you had more important things to work out first.

good news is you were able to read it all together and didnt have to wait for the long gaps in between updates.
:thumbsup2

Well this serial lurker is finally making an appearance. I have been skulking around DIS for a while reading and enjoying everyone's TR's but I have joined most so late I haven't bothered posting. Well I have spent most of today reading this report and I just wanted to tell you what a beautiful family you have. Parker is just the happiest kid I have ever seen. What a cutie and how lucky is he to have such awesome parents and Grandparents? congrats on the new baby! Thanks for the entertainment. I look forward to reading the rest!

One question, is that the Aulani you stayed at in Hawaii?

an official :welcome: to you.

hope the chapter links helped you out.

it was the kanapali (sp) beach club in the area of kannapali

Hi Dan! I'm sorry to see your WDW trip end. So glad you were all fine with the tire blow out again. The force reminded me of how blessed you are with being under the truck with the first one - we had a 20 yr old guy from a local tire shop who was working on a farm truck tire become a vegetable because of a brain injury sustained from a blowout. God is good. All the time.

Beautiful pics of your road to Hana! Those views are amazing! There is a possibility DH might be sent to Hawaii in Feb and I'm planning to join him - I get so excited when I see your pics! The cave swimming is kind of scarey - don't blame you.

wow that is terrible news, you never know with those things, and im sure those kind of accidents happen alot with the old and weather farm equipment.

that is awesome you might be going what island? my SIL still lives on maui so if you need any pointers let me know.

she also does lessons on surfing and paddle boarding.

:( Your WDW trip is over. I've enjoyed reading this.

Awesome shots of Hawaii. I'd love to go there someday but the flights from NJ are a killer both timewise and $$. It looks breathtaking. Maybe some day!
official yes, but hte report isnt, still have a few more updates that i will finish up this week.

that would be a long and expensive flight, but you could always go to the west coast (disney) for a few days and then head over to break up the flight, if you ever do look into it, let me know i know of a good deal with alaska airlines that will make your flights almost buy one get one :thumbsup2

Great minds think alike ;) That's what I've thought about doing just to get a breather for a couple days between flights. And thanks, if we ever decide to go to Hawaii, I'll be coming to you for advice :thumbsup2

thats what im here for.:thumbsup2

Hi there Dan! I've been following along here and there but haven't really commented lately.

Can I just say, I love the side Hawaii TR! What a gorgeous place to have visited. I'm not sure I'd have gone back home if I had stayed there for vacation. You captured some fantastic pictures too, really beautiful. Thanks for sharing them.

Ok, as I've said, I've been kinda lurking here and there and for some reason the only thing that stands out is that you poured a cup of pee on Candi's foot! Did she see that centipede thing that bit her? I'd have probably passed out, I cannot stand bugs at all. But what love and devotion you showed by urinating on her! Now that's a good husband.:thumbsup2 I'm glad it worked too, she must have been in pain.

Parker is adorable as always. I laughed and laughed when you said he asked about the nudie beach! Such a little cutie.

Your trip sounds like it was yet another adventure with the RV. I still can't believe that giant pimple that was bulging on your tire during your trip down?

Really have enjoyed following along. Did you mention if you were planning another trip to Disney?

not a problem, with so many TR's out there it is hard to comment on all of them.

it is fun to relive that trip as well and let you guys see some pics.

she saw it afterwards, i stopped it form bitting another ladies foot when it was starting to crawl toward her open sandles feet....then a lady at the party killed it with her shoe and lite it on fire to make sure it was dead.

she was in major pain, she said it was ten times worse than a bee sting.

i wonder how big of a buldge was on the back tire before it blew with how much damage it did to the underside of the truck and the bed of the truck.

we are in the pre planning stages of another trip, dont have a date yet but working a few things out.

I can't believe the damage on your dad's truck! Thank God no one was hurt.

I too am sorry that it is coming to an end. I live through my DIS friends in between my trips (which are mostly 4-5 years between). Although I will say my friend that I work with (along with her two children, her son is my DS10 buddy) we are talking about driving down when the kids get out of school in June and staying for 6 days. I looked up pricing and to me not so bad. Gotta just talk my DH into letting me go :) I also have family in FL that will come up to see me too so that's double fun.

HI is absolutely gorgeous. Love the pictures. We went to different places than you but still just has beautiful.

I never know the answer - I think Oahu? It's where Honolulu is - he will be working at Hickam AFB. I've heard Maui is better - it would be so cool to take lessons from your SIL :cool1:

a early june trip sounds fun, it was hot, but that was the only time my parents could go, you will enjoy it though...makes pool time that much more enjoyable.

seeing family would be a grea bonus.

i think you are right....i would enjoy seeing other islands.
i also want to go to the carribean some day but not sure where.

Chapter 58. Heading home from the what if location

I dont have time to do the full update with the final thoughts so it will come in the next chapter.

The final full day in hawaii.

Well two nights before we left we had a great sunset after a very good dinner.

we found it to be the best priced meal on the island wednesday night you call burgers for 8 bucks.

dbcec926.jpg

after dinner we walked across the road to the beach to watch the sunset....i love this picture of parker just soaking it all in.

the next day was our last full day on the island and we took advantage of going to our favorite locations to just relax

this was our favorite beach.

tehre was hardly anyone on it that day.

here is the panaramic proof.

parker and i used the body board to hit some waves.

and i played around with my 3 shot burst mode on my camera.

i love how this turned out and how you can catch good action shots.

the seven shot per second mode is even cooler but i didnt use that here.

not sure if i told the story or not but while we were on the island justin beiber and salena gomez were on the island as well.

they actually went into one of the restraunts that my in laws and BIL were in about two days earlier....but they were on the other side of the restraunt and they just saw there entourage gettingpeople out of hte way.

we think they were on these boats they were huge speed cruise yatch type boats and those two smaller ones kept trying to chase them down and get close...the little dingy boat had a guy with a camera on it.

they didnt come that close to the beach we were on which was a good thing becaue the beach next to us was packed with people trying to see what was going on.

i did find htis little guy sunning himself.

the afternoon was spend with more relaxing and hitting the community pool when parker needed a break from the sand.

that night we drove down for one final sunset.

parker took over my point and shoot,

he got some pretty good shots

i have about 50 more of the island as we are leaving the toys he wsa playing with and other things inside the plane in his little seat world.

here is our sunset coming into seattle later that night.

i thought this little island was neat had lights and people living on it with no bridges that we could see to get there.

we arrived a little later than we should have from problems taking off and the wind pushing us in our face on the way home so we had a late late 11:00 local time pizza delivery but surpisingly parker held up well that day and didnt complain while flying at all.

next morning ready to head on home for the final leg of the journey.

you can see his eyes a little more in this one.

8b885006.jpg

story is coming shortly.

the trip had him worn out and about an hour till we landed he was knocked out.

0dfd5a8d.jpg

well as we were landing his ears started to pop and he was scarred/hurting so it took a little to calm him down. but other than that it was a good final trip.

we landed safely and got our luggage and were excited to get home...
now for the eye story,

the day before we left he had gotten a little sand in his eye...well we thought we got it all out, but evidently ther emust have been a little grain left in both eyes as the last day and day of traveling his eyes were itching him and he kept rubbing them well he really must have irritated them they were also getting stuck shut every time he slept or closed them...so we had to keep getting warm clothes to clean them.

the flight attendents were great and kept coming by with warm towels for his eyes.

this is what they looked like on the bus back to our car when we were leaving the airport.
447ac010.jpg

they started to get better the next day when we were home.

and when we got home a huge storm had gone through and knocked out our power earlier in the day....what a great way to be welcomed home after being gone that long.

im glad to say we did get power back before we fell asleep..it was out for maybe 6 hours that night when we got home.

i will also have a wrap up of this trip when i do the next chapter update.

hope you guys enjoyed reading about the trip to the what if location as well.

Poor Parker! Those eyes look painful!

I enjoyed reading about Hawaii. Hopefully I'll get there someday :)

It must be nice to be 17 and taking vacations to Hawaii on your own Justin Bieber!

Poor little guy...that must have been painful.

Your last day in Hawaii looks wonderful; you got some beautiful pictures -- love the sunset and the picture of you holding Parker your last night.

Ouch! Sorry about Parker's eyes, but I'm glad to read that they got better shortly after arriving back home.

Thanks for sharing the "what if" trip with us!

Glad to hear he cleared up quickly. He looks happy inspite of his eyes.
It must have been hard to leave somewhere so beautiful.
Nothing like comming home to the power out, just to snap ya back into reality. :rotfl2:

Ouch to Parker's eyes.

DS had a simialar thing but the sand actually scratched his corneas. I rinsed his eyes but had to get him to the Dr. He eneded up with patches over his eyes for 3 days to let them rest and heal. It was interesting to watch him navigate the house, but I learned after day 2 that he was peeking out under the patches.

I was wondering how he was getting around so good. :rotfl:

Beautiful sunset pictures. THe Bieber story was cool and I am glad you didn't have more issues with him being on the island.

Okay, we got the news this week that Hawaii is on!!! :woohoo:

As for the Caribbean, I would do a Disney Cruise in the Eastern! You get the fun of being with Disney, and you get to visit a few places all at once. It is so expensive to fly there and their exchange rates are crazy expensive.

Oh, so sad to see your trip is over. :sad2: Looks like your last day was a nice beach day, though. :thumbsup2 I would hate to be rich and famous, well at least the famous part - those paparrazi are parasites!

Too bad about Parker's eyes - just the sand, and no other infection? Poor guy.

You've got some amazing sunset shots there, my friend!! Lovely!

Poor little guy! That must've really hurt. :headache:

Looks like you had a great time in Hawaii! Poor Parker's eyes. I am glad they got better quick.

they did bug him, but he didnt really complain about them.

i dont think i would want that money and fame to never be able to have alone time without people always watching

we have some great shots like that and some awesome memories, it was a really fun trip.

he never said it hurt just the fact that he had to keep cleaning them made the part under the eye raw...but he was a trooper.

Ouch! Sorry about Parker's eyes, but I'm glad to read that they got better shortly after arriving back home.

Thanks for sharing the "what if" trip with us!
us too, he heals pretty fast so we were happy for that.

your welcome glad you enjoyed it....to bad you guys were there, it would have been fun to see you.

not much can get him down, he is usually pretty upbeat even when he is not feeling well.

yep a very nice welcome home indeed...but it was still good to be home after a long trip away.

Ouch to Parker's eyes.

wow glad it didnt hurt him more like that....he would not like wearing a patch at all.

the island isnt huge, but big enough that it wasnt an issue with a "mega star" and i use that term loosely on the island.

and they all say how they dont like to put themselves out there and attract attention well there are many stars who are very famouse that are never in the tabloids because they are smart about what they do.

nope didnt have anything else wrong with them....he took a face first dive into a castle we were building then the next day is when they started to act up.

You've got some amazing sunset shots there, my friend!! Lovely!

Poor little guy! That must've really hurt. :headache:
thank you thank you.

im glad he is a troopper otherwise the trip home might have been a real pain.

Looks like you had a great time in Hawaii! Poor Parker's eyes. I am glad they got better quick.
thanks, we had a good trip, will wrap it all up in the final thoughs chapters that i will write this week.
