Chapter 41. A First and (What IF)
Our Second to last full day in disney brought us to our last full park day. the day before we leave my dad likes to take relaxing and getting things packed up so we can leave the following morning early.
but we have another day to worry about that and this day is set for a park day to the MK.
we were all awake by 6:30 and out the door at 7:10 to catch a bus to the marina.
our boat that morning was pretty full from all the people wanting to head to the contemporary for the breakfast there, we got in with no problems, but we had to take this route as the MK boat did not start yet. which was fine we were that much closer to the MK.
we opted to walk it instead of the monorail which was a good thing as the monorail was stopped both ways so they could load more cars on the tracks.
we made it over walking before it even moved which was good as the line to get into the MK for the early breakfast was pretty long already.
and it was getting hot, i forgot something to whip the sweat off for the day so i confiscated one of parkers bibs and made good use of that...it was very hot this morning.
soon we were in and doing something that we had never done before,which was a character breakfast in a park. we were all excited.
main street was pretty busy already this morning but we were not worried as we were all headed the same place and we had the first available reservation they had.
we were let inearly so we had to wait about 10 minutes before the restraunt was open. so i took the time to get some pictures of a pretty empty park, and have one of my favorite pictures of parker, and it reminds me of how much he has grown over just this last year.
soon the charcters were coming out to greet us and welcome us to breakfast.
we got parker his food first because we saw the characters making there rounds and wanted him to start to eat something before they got there, he opted for the mickey head pancake with chocolate chips and sausage.
piglet was first, and you dont even have to type how much he enjoyed the characters this morning, i will let the pictures do the talking.
the little specs of food you see at the top of my plate was what was left from there corn beef hash, now i have to say it was awesome, it was tied with my homemade stuff, but by far the best i have had at any restraunt...it was on each of my plates and ohh soooooo good.
before pooh got to us, they started there parade song so parker and i followed along he was behind pooh, i didnt get any pics, because i was taking a video of him...but he loved it and marched right along.
last was eeyore.
because of time and we knew that the park was opening soon we left my dad to settle the bill and headed out to get toward dumbo so parker could get in line.
but before we could leave the restaurant, they opened the park, so how many turns were we back to ride dumbo?
that is all for now, as we now start out little TR game of WHAT IF

So I am planning to do this jointly...as a WHAT IF this were a disney trip, what would the report look like.
so cue the little music and the hazy cloud that forms into a dream type sequence...
did everyone make it over good.
now i would say close your eyes and imagine but then it might be hard to read, so open your eyes and image what it would be like if disney were on an island in the ocean and you went to visit.
some possible titles of a TR to this mystical island could be.
(and dont worry they will all be explained at some point during this journey.
keeping with our current title theme

8. Daddy, why are we going to the nudie beach?
9. Next trip, family doesnt get to come along with us.
so those are possible titles, that could be chosen for this report.
now if you want to get to this mystical island, you would need some transportation.
so, you would call upon a family memeber to take you to the airport...well a few weeks before you are set to go, work could get pretty busy for that person so they will buy you the coach tickets to get you there, which with the gas prices and convience works out better this way.
when we got to the airport, we quickly checked in and made our way to relax at the gate. the plan landed early, due to a tail wind. so we boarded early and shoved out early.
parker was excited for his first plan ride (that he would remember, he was 9 months on the last one)
mickey and minnie enjoyed the take off the best, because you go fast fast fast fast...everyone around us got a kick out of that because it was sort of yelled when the plan was going to down the runway.
there wasnt to many sights to see until we were getting closer to land when we started to see some snow covered mountain tops.
now here is a little tip, that i found out this trip via that TSA before we left....that you can take the little alchohol bottles with you through security...so anyone who has pre flight jitters go ahead and pick one up to calm you down.
me, i thought it was crazy to pay 6 bucks for mixed drink so WHAT IF I packed my own and after i got my beverage, poured it in. it would work like a charm.
so there was a tailwind that pushed the plan to chicago from the west coast and somehow there was a tailwind that pushed that same plan to the west coast so not only did we shove off early, but we landed early about a total of an hour which would make the rest of our evening move up as well.
i thought this damn was cool on the way in so i got a picture of it.
now if this magical island did in fact have a disney at it, then im sure you would be pulling your disney luggage with you.
i have to say that i loved this airport, it was the portland oregon airport, very nice and laid back, didnt seem to busy at all either t his night or the next morning.
reason for the layove was our flights schedule was changed, so the had us take a layover and put us up in a room at no cost, which was fine by us, it broke up the travel day and gave parker a rest as well.
so the opportunity for a DIS meet was born.
i was to meet up with?
well you see shortly and i use that term loosely not wanting to say that she was short.
it took a little bit for the desk agent to find us hotel that had an opening but she found one, and sent us on our way to the shuttle stop. which showed up pretty quickly and away we went.
we checked into our room a phone call was made to let our guests know where we staying and as we were getting ready to head down to the lobby, i got a messag asking which room we were in.
i opened the door to meet our guests and here they were walking down the hallway? wait there were more than one, why yes there were 3 in fact.
a mother, and 2 of the 5 children came along to greet us to the west coast.
we gave hugs, and headed back to the lobby to wait for dinner.
which consisted of pizza that i ordered on the way to the hotel from the airport.
now who is this meet with you may ask, many of you know but here she is...
she is fixing up tate for our visit, and candi has a look on her face of someone that caught a whife of someone else that broke wind....not blaming or pointing fingers, thats just what i see...
actually she was turning to tell parker that tate is not his, liesa just gave us the thing that candi was opening up, and when she brought out tate, parker asked if that was for him and wanted it...he did get to play with it during our meet and was okay with giving it back when they left.
i will say that the gift she brought us was very nice, and i used it the whole trip, but wont give it away in case she ends up using it for her contest at some point.
you can see the toy story jibbitz on the table that we gave her to use and there was enough for her whole family although not sure who has
crocs that could use them, but hope that her younger kids enjoyed them if anything.
soon the pizza arrived, and it was quickly eaten up, as we had not had anything in about 6 hours and candi was pretty hungry with little baby girl in there.
the conversation was good, and i think liesa could tell we were pretty beat from our travel day so far...but she and her kids were very nice and great to talk to.
even though her son at the last slice of pizza, i still talked to him
we had to get a group shot because without pictures it didnt happen.
here we all are
with another long travel day ahead of us and liesa having about an hour drive home, we said our goodbye and parted ways.
it was a fun visit and very nice of her drive that far to come and see us.
we were very thankful and appreciated it.
thanks again, and it was great meeting you and your kids.
so that is what a first day would like IF there was a disney in the ocean and you had to travel across country to get there.
