My Spring Vacation
Just booked a vacation at the end of March, have to go then wife is a teacher!!.

Here are the details for 2 adults:
7 days
POR-RS: $1,528.80
7 day Park Hopper: $990.66
DDP (1 snack/1 CS/1TS): $848.96

Total: $3368.42

Any suggestions on how to save any dollars??

Drop the dining plan. Then book as room only (not a package) and buy tickets from Undercover Tourist. Also, if you are willing to go without a package check Orbitz/Travelocity/ other third party broker sites for additional room discounts.

Is this on a standard room at POR? If it's a higher category, drop the category.

That ticket price seems way too much for 7 day hoppers. Did you misread something?

Were your dates blacked out in the recent discounts? I don't know exact dates, but I am assuming your spring break. Is it Easter? Otherwise, Disney usually offers some sort of room discount.

King Bed is a bookable category at Riverside. You would actually pay extra for it.

It would be interesting to know which of these are dealbreakers. Are you willing to go without a dining plan? Without a package reservation? Without the king bed? To a value resort?

7 day park hopper tix (14 day expiration, no plus options) are $408.96 so that should have come out to about $818, not $990.

Easter is April 5, depending on their dates discounts may not be available for some or all of their trip.

(I was curious, so I looked. That price appears to be correct for the last week of March even with the spring room discount included. If it were me I would keep the Riverside room, book room only, go without the dining plan (the price really jumps as soon as you add the dining plan) and maybe try UCT for tickets, it's not much of a discount but it is a discount.

We are not on a strict budget so Dining Plan is a must as is the King Bed and POR is our place

If dining plan is a must then you won't be saving a tons of dollars from your original quote. You will have to book the room/dining plan package through Disney directly. You can save a few dollars with buying your tickets through UT but that is about all the savings you will find.

If you are not willing to drop the dining plan, the resort or the king bed, then there is not much you can do (if anything.) Dining plan locks you into buying a package and your tickets from Disney, unless you call and ask for a ticketless package. Then you will save only what you can save buying your tickets third party, which isn't much.
