Spring Break 2011 on the DREAM

I was going to ship mine too but I read here ( http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2068966 )the max box size that they take is one 12x12x12 per cabin...too small for everything I made.

Also, be glad that your DH didn't ship it, food is not allowed to be sent and your box would have been sent back to you.

Last day at the office is nearly over - it is 3:38 PM in Germany right now. Tomorrow we will fly to Miami Our FE gifts are in our checked bags. I hope Lufthansa Airline will handle them with care.

we were supposed to spend 4 days in Vero prior to the cruise - not to be. United cancelled our plane! Now we (3 of us) are booked on different flights arriving in Chicago where we connect 4 hours apart, and would arrive at VB about 3 AM clds to cancel today - girl cancelled the whole ressie!!! Spent a lot of time with member services to get it rebooked and their computer was down. I got a super gal named 'Leni' who not only got us rebooked but cld me at home! Love her!!!! Maybe things are going to look up!

If I was on top of things, I would have tried to suggest a meeting on the first day. We have the birthday club gathering on the sea day (somebody remind me when and where?) but that's 3 days into it. I'd hate to be passing other DIS board members all cruise and not knowing it until the last day.

I think a DIS meet on the first day is a good idea. On our last cruise, I was able to at least say hi through the rest of the trip after our initial meet. Though very few people showed up, so I was a little hesitant to take the time to set one up again.

We were actually going to ship to the beach club where we are going tomorrow. At the airport hotel now. I am offically on vacation. Can't wait to go to Florida tomorrow.

Anyone who wants to meet up on the first day, I am going to do my best to be on Deck 12 (above the pools) on the starboard (right) side, looking down on the family pool at 3:15pm. I will have a Mickey Mouse Club tshirt on with my name on the back. Come by and say hi.


I chose the time based on a recent Navigator that had the lifeboat drill at 4pm. And I chose the spot because I figured 12 would be less crowded than 11, and starboard because the Aquaduck entrance is on the port side. If anyone has any better ideas, please feel free to offer them up.

Even if we only meet a few people, that will be more than we knew when we boarded. This is the first Disney cruise I'll be on where I didn't know someone else before boarding. It seems odd to cruise without my friends, but I know I will have a great time with all of you.

I'm getting ready to put my FE gifts in a big checked bag. Started packing some of the other suitcases tonight while listening to the frozen sleet ping the windows. Now if that wasn't enough for me to look up the current weather in the Bahamas I don't what is! I cannot wait to leave this long winter behind!

Isn't it going to be awesome to get out of MN? When I booked this cruise in January, I thought "the end of March....it will probably be nice here by then and we won't want to leave..." but I guess THAT was wishful thinking on my part! We got half a foot of snow last night & this morning, and I think we're supposed to have a high of around 35 here for the next week, so it's time to go! Unfortunately, I have saved my packing for the very last minute. I'll be packing tomorrow, and we head to the Twin Cities late tomorrow afternoon to catch our 8 a.m. flight on Friday morning (yea, Sun Country Airlines!) DH and I will have two nights at SSR before sailing on Sunday!

Looking forward to some great weather in Florida and the Bahamas! I, too, checked weather.com and the forecast looks wonderful.

we are so ready yesterday just finish to pack my house will be the meeting before the big day I have people arriving staring today tomorrow and saturday. I will have full house before the cruise, so exxcciitteedd

I'm essentially traveling solo. Once our names are announced, DS is released, so to speak. He has free reign until dinner each night. LOL.

we are back from our fabulous cruise and I want to thank every single Disser for the great FE gifts! You are really a creative bunch!!! I do try but can't hold a candle to some of you! thanks again it was a real treat!!

Just wanted to post and tell everyone thank you for all the great FE gifts we got!! We lugged home a suitcase full of goodies! The kids really loved seeing what the next little surprise was. We loved the cruise, the ship is so beautiful. But I have been bummed out all day today, because reality is not as magical. I want George and Laurent, our servers, and Omar, our room steward!! Making dinner isn't nearly as fun as having it magically appear in front of you!

Hope everyone had a great cruise also!! It was really nice to meet some of you, and E, thanks again for making the FE easier on all of us. Whew, it was a big group!!
