spring 2009

yeah I had my interview with colleen this morning. she seemed really nice and the interview only took about 25 minutes. Good Luck!:cool1:

I'm glad she's nice! Oh man. I have this outline but I don't think it's going to do any good. I'm sooo nervous.

Hopefully if I get accepted into the program we can meet up or something!

I think the whole board should get together XD

I'm down for it, pending I get accepted, I don't know anybody who is participating in the program this season, so it would be cool I think.

If you have Facebook join one of the CP or CS (you'll be working with them too) Spring 2009 groups. It's an awesome way to meet people before you go down to FL.

Just want to let everyone know that the interview went so well! Colleen is REALLY nice. She made me feel secure in my answers.

Done! Interview with Colleen went well. She is very nice. The only thing that felt awkward was after my answers, I could still hear her typing and that felt like awkward silence, but it was still fine.

I was asked the following questions:
Merchandise: what to tell a guest who is wanting an item out of stock.
Main Entrance: as the first person guests encounter, how would you make them feel special.
Vacation Planner: Didn't really ask a specific question. Explained the job and asked if I was comfortable with it. Asked about my cash handling experience, etc...

At the end of the interview, I didn't have any questions but still asked some so she would understand how much I want to do this.

Sounds like it went well! Now we just have to wait :scared: I'm going to be running to the mailbox XD

Can someone please post the CP Facebook links? Facebook is being stupid and not pulling anything up for me.

I just got done with my interview! It was really quick, only about 18 minutes total. I requested Attractions, Merchandise, and Hospitality, and she asked me a question about each one. (The Space Mountain question, the out of stock question, and "What if a guest wanted a poolside view and there wasn't one availible?") I felt pretty well prepared and I think my answers were pretty good (it was kind of unnerving having to sit there and listen to her type in my answers though!) Colleen was really nice and she gave me some positive feedback on my answers, but I'm still nervous! Probably more so now than before my interview! I'm horrible at these things and I know I said "um" at least 10 times. Anyway, at the end I asked her a couple questions and then asked if I could request a specific ride in case I was hired for attractions. She said she'd be glad to put it in the notes, and I said I'd like to work at either Space Mountain or Rock n Rollercoaster. Then she asked "Do you mind if I ask why?" (kind of like "Are you sure those are the rides you want to work at?") :lmao: and I told her those were just my favorites! So, I guess it went well, hopefully my nervousness didn't leave a bad impression. I guess we'll find out in 2-3 weeks!

It sounds like you did great! While she was typing I tried to keep my mouth away from the phone so she didn't hear me breathing into it or anything :rotfl: I was so nervous for the next question I had to slow down to keep from blurting out answers.

Good job! :thumbsup2 I hope to see you there

I'm up for that!

That's great!:)

I'm so relieved that it's over XD It really wasn't that bad. I was actually quite relaxed and having a smile on my face even though she couldn't see really did help.

Hmm where could we possibly meet. I heard that we will only get one day off. I don't know if that's true though, sounds a little hardcore to work every single day. I would like to see some other Florida attractions.

It depends on the time of year. Usually CPs get 2 days off a week. But during really busy times, it will be only 1 day off.

Hate to say it but it looks like Space Mountain is going down in January for a year.

That's so cute! I've never seen that smily before :upsidedow I've always wanted to use that one XD

Ahhh it's weekly XD I thought they meant that you only get one day off the entire program! I was like, well okay I guess I love Disney that much... Haha okay, good to know

Do you request the apartment complex when you get there? I've heard Chatham is quiter so I was thinking I would request that one.
