I agree. This kind of styling was all the rage back in the 90s, not so much even a decade later.

Although something I'm still sad about is the remodeling of the main stores. The main walkway to the theatre was originally lined with windows that featured some of the characters.

That's the one that stood out to me the most. I guess the theming back then for this space was as simple as "room"

And they’ve just done the same with Tritons on the Wish, literally themed as ‘room’ Or maybe updated Promenade Lounge.

I still have the original DCL brochure which lists the original Maiden Voyage Date of March, 1998. Then that got pushed to April or May and then finally we set sail on July 30, 1998.

I really miss Parrot Cay but really love Rapunzel's....did not like Carioca's at all.

So they haven’t learned in 26 years that MV dates are hard to keep? That’s how you stay a maiden.

I do miss Carioca’s. Mainly for the avocado, pineapple, and watercress salad with citrus vinaigrette. I had it in another restaurant by request a second night. One of only two times I have asked for that extra effort (but it was the shared kitchen).

But I think Rapunzel’s is the best venue DCL has created to incorporate decor, ambiance, a show + that extra touch of a table visit from Rapunzel. And I didn’t feel so squeezed in.
