Splitting reservation between 2 resorts?

I currently have 7 nights at POFQ in August. I may want to spend the last 3 nights at either the CR or Beach Club. If I split my stay will that be 2 seperate reservations? Also how easy is it to transfer luggage?

Disney makes it really easy to move your luggage. Just call bell services the morning you are switching resorts, and tell them that you are moving to another resort. They will pick it up and tag it for you. Then you go off to the parks for the day, and go to the second resort to check in (I usually wait until after check in time). The luggage should be at your second resort by then. Just give your claim check to the bell captain, and they'll deliver your bags to your room. Make sure you tip bell services at both resorts

I've never switched resorts mid-trip either but this upcoming stay we are doing 5 nights at the CB and 3 nights at the AKL. When we talked to the CM they told us to let the front desk know that we were switching resorts mid-trip right away when we check in, that way they can let us know about any other thigns that we need to do to make the transition move smoothly. And besides that everything sounds the same as the poster above described.

Also if I split resorts will I pay a seperate deposit and have 2 confirmation #s. Just nervous that it might be twice as much to go wrong!!

I have done splits a few times and I am doing one in May...you need to have the deposit on both ressies to hold. I had a ressie at WL with a deposit, today they added my AP rates and then split my stay. I had enough to cover both depoists...so they transfered the money to the second ressie.
