I know i have seen this asked here before. Sorry to be repetitive but i can't remember the answer. If we do our first week offsite, second week onsite does that mean we can only use our ultimate tickets when our onsite stay starts? We wanted to get free dining which we have never done before.

Yes, if you are booking onsite with free dining it is now very clear your tickets will not be active or available until your check in date.

If you want to use your Disney tickets for the whole time you need to do onsite first :thumbsup2

Funny but I had this argument with somebody on the TPAS board the other day, who insists it can be done and supposedly is the 'expert'. However that same person also stold somebody the other week that you can't pre-book FP+ when you just have a voucher linked to MDE and that is incorrect, so make of that what you will.

My understanding (which is backed up by WDTC website) is that you cannot collect your tickets prior to your onsite check-in date if those tickets form part of a package.

That TPAS expert needs some remedial courses ...

You understand well, tickets cannot be picked up before the check-in day.
In a recent past, MYW tickets could be picked up in advance, but only up to 3 days before check in. Now Disney seems to have changed their policy.

But UK tickets bundled in a package are not valid until the check in day. And it's written in plain english on the WDTC-UK confirmation.

So, OP, you can do a split stay like :
1st week WDW with 14 days tickets and free dining for 7 days, any dining credit unused from that stay would be lost the day after your checkout day

2nd week offsite using your remaining 7 days but without dining

or a full onsite stay with free dining.

if you choose 1st week offsite, you'll need separate tickets, and a second week room only at WDW (no free dining then), or buy another set of tickets for the onsite stay, but that would negate a large part of the free dining savings.

When you book a package withDisney now it states it really clearly the date the tickets will be valid from so trees no confusion now!

Wonder if that's the same expert I had a disagreement with on here a couple of years ago. Someone asked if they could use a 14 day ticket 15 days. I said yes as I had recently done it. He said definitely no, it was not possible. More or less told me I was lying.
