Well, i am a Jennifer. Needless to say, ever since I was a child I knew that when I became a Mommy I wanted my child to have a name that was "different" but not too far out there.
We named our daughter Reagan. This tells you the kind of people I was workign with when I was pregnant. I told coworkers we were naming her Reagan. Now most of the time, I get "You mean like the President?' however my coworkers at the time would reply: "You mean like the girl in the Exorcist?" LOL!
We've been pretty lucky that no one else we know has her name, except for at her daycare, there is an infant who is named Raegan (speeled a bit differently). We lived in a small town, so it doesn't surprise me if they heard of our Rea and chose the name.
The only time we ever meet a Reagan is at DisneyWorld. So far on our trips I have met two. And funny enough, they are the same age as my Rea.
My neice is named Madison, back in the late 90's at the height of the Madison popularity. She knows several other Madisons.
I do have a super secret name that the hubster and I both like if we have another girl. We were going to use it for Reagan, but we felt that it was too out there. Now with all of the Kennedys, Taylors, Chandlers, etc we come across, we plan on using it. However, I am sunk if I ever have a boy. Most of the boy names I like are traditional and common.
