Spin class no longer free?

I've read that the classes fill up super quickly, I have been on the treadmill when they are going on and they seem full, they don't have very many bikes so I am going to Port Adventures on day 1 to sign up. They should start adding an exercise bucket to the online booking tool.

That's great. Book your spin classes 90 days out lol!

Sign up is in the gym area, not port adventures!

On our last cruise on the Wonder in January, classes were free, but you had to sign up. Then, they called you the night before to make sure you were really coming. I went to two, and was the sole participant in one, and in the second, the trainer got a couple of other people to join in. Sign up sheets were not full ... ever. The trainer was nice, but not a fantastic spin instructor. I like instructors that take you on a virtual journey, as one earlier post mentioned, of someplace else. That said, I'd like to take the spinning classes again on my next cruise, but don't know that they'd be worth $12.

Hi, I know this thread is from August; but we got off the Magic yesterday and wanted to provide some current information.

There was no charge to take a spin class. Olivia (trainer on board) put emphasis on the fact that you needed to sign up for the class; one gentleman did not, and she was trying to convey the message to him. Luckily, it was not a full class.

As for trying to create your own class, the cycles are all pushed together against the center window. There are signs on each side of the walls bookending the spin bikes stating that the cycles are to be used during class only. Also, the seats for the cycles are removed while not in use. Unless you want to do your own class in positions 2 and 3 the entire time, they would be of no use outside of an instructor-led class. I took photos in case anyone needed proof.

Thanks for the update! We'r on the Magic next week and I really appreciate the updated info!

Wish I could get that addicted to exercise to be willing to pay for it on a Disney cruise, impressive! (but I am trying some what now, lol)

The price is 12$. But, I don't understand the moment why they charge 10$ for non-attendance. Frankly speaking, I don't like cycling outdoors and the speed bike is the best variant for me.

There's no charge for indoor cycling classes. Some other classes do carry a charge. We got off the Wonder in Feb - no charge.
