Speedo okay in Rainforest Room?

There's been a rash of zombie threads popping up in the past week. I think what happens is people do a search, and the results don't show when the original post was and the person doing the search then posts on that thread bringing it back from the netherworld.

Yeah, it’s a double-edged sword. If they ask a common question (or sometimes not a common one), someone will almost always find a thread and say “Use the search!!!” but then if they do use the search and pull up a thread without noticing the date people (eventually) comment about that! It would be nice if the boards had a way to pitch threads - or at least automatically lock them after they were inactive for a set time (12-18 months or so?) so they would appear in a search but NOT be reply-able.

Ooooo... good idea. Is something like that do-able? I'm not tech-y so I don't know.

I think CruiseCritic does it. That one or another forum I have been on. I’m not super tech-y, but it seems like there should be some kind of algorithm to do it.

This thread is really old, lol, but I was on the Dream last week, and there was a woman wearing a thong bikini...on the AquaDuck. While a speedo wouldn’t make uncomfortable (I am a swimmer and regularly see men at the pool wearing these), the thong certainly did. My 8 year-old DD noticed and made the observation that it was “kind of inappropriate for that woman to wear her underwear in the pool”! She didnt want to believe me when I tried to explain it was actually a swimsuit. She thinks thongs are only worn by grown-up women who don’t want to have underwear lines. In my opinion, thong bikinis have no place at a Disney cruise pool. I’d have less trouble with it at the Rainforest Room, but I would still think it somewhat inappropriate.

See, I have pretty strong opinions about PJ’s and T shirts in the dining room. To each their own. But then again, most of the people who have commented on this zombie thread have also advocated for personal comfort while on board, irrespective of the way it makes others feel.

BTW, my bathing suit will be half way up my rear end all trip, thong or not, because thats just where it ends up.

Tripadvisor does it - if there has been no activity on a posted query in x months they lock it.
