Spectacular Star Wars September Exercise Challenge

27 minutes running, 33 minutes walking (that's 40:30 for the 5K, the rest fast walking to boost my endurance). I'm one of the only weirdos who likes running on the treadmill apparently :). Of course, running 3 miles is different from running 13! I'll have to start doing some outside runs through in prep for the Avengers race, because I have problems controlling my pace on my own and I'd prefer not to collapse and die on the day.

checked the weather and thought it would be okay, I get about 2/3 of the way done and it just starts POURING. I wasn't wearing a hat so the water got all over my face and glasses and I couldn't see anything. Ran through quite a few puddles that I couldn't see because...I couldn't see. :lmao:

And that's why I won't run in my glasses (well, one of the reasons). I'm terrified of rain on my glasses. I'm pretty terrified of running in the rain in general, actually.

After a well-deserved rest day yesterday, 64 minutes walking and running today. I managed to avoid the rain - yay!

Been MIA on this forum, but have been committed since I signed up for the challenge. Last week I was busy with work and life in general, preparing for vacation. This week, I'm enjoying my extended family on our shore vacation. No gym here, but I walk the beach briskly each day or go for a bike ride.

Thanks for reporting in! Hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation! :sunny:

I wasn't expecting much for yesterday, but after a very frustrating day at work and an even more annoying night with family I decided to get on the treadmill to relieve some frustration instead of reaching for a glass or two or three of wine

137 minutes on treadmill, going 9.13 miles

Wow, that sounds like a really annoying day, to be worthy of 9 miles! :furious:

590/1200 So close to the 50% mark!

Oh-so-close! Tomorrow will be a :rainbow: day for you.

I'll have to start doing some outside runs through in prep for the Avengers race, because I have problems controlling my pace on my own and I'd prefer not to collapse and die on the day.

I'm putting not collapsing and dying high on my list for the Star Wars 10K! Right now I'm kind of a :snail:

I missed Wednesday and Thursday (just out of routine due to the start of school) but I got back in the groove today - 10 minutes of min-trampoline and 15 of "walking" the cat (I only count half of that, as it's kind of like one of those Family Circus paths ) - so 17 all together.

50 minutes strength training and 20 minutes of yoga has me flying the Millennium Falcon!

What a perfect intro for tonight's tidbit!

At the D23 Expo in August, Bob Iger announced that Star Wars Land will be coming to Hollywood Studios at WDW and to Disneyland Park. Each land is anticipated to be 14 acres, which is the largest single land expansion in Disneyland history. Disney hasn't said too much about what to expect from Star Wars Land, but one thing they have said--guests will be able to take the controls of the Millennium Falcon for a secret mission!

Reports within the last day have said that the projects will break ground in 2016, which is earlier than the 2017 start date mentioned at the D23 Expo. No anticipated completion date has yet been announced. Today WDW announced that this will be the last year for the Osborne Lights, as the space will be needed for HS's new lands (Toy Story Land, in addition to Star Wars Land).
