A bit of Han Solo trivia: It wasn't at all certain that Han Solo would survive being encased in carbonite. Harrison Ford didn't have a contract for Return of the Jedi. Also, he urged George Lucas to kill Han off. But Lucas refused because he wanted all his heroes to have a triumphant end in Jedi, and of course Ford eventually agreed to continue the part. (The carbonite scene also led to my favorite line in Empire: Han's response of "I know" to Leia's declaration of love.)

37 minute run last night. I didn't dress right - checked the weather and thought it would be okay, I get about 2/3 of the way done and it just starts POURING. I wasn't wearing a hat so the water got all over my face and glasses and I couldn't see anything. Ran through quite a few puddles that I couldn't see because...I couldn't see. :lmao:

Been MIA on this forum, but have been committed since I signed up for the challenge. Last week I was busy with work and life in general, preparing for vacation. This week, I'm enjoying my extended family on our shore vacation. No gym here, but I walk the beach briskly each day or go for a bike ride.

I wasn't expecting much for yesterday, but after a very frustrating day at work and an even more annoying night with family I decided to get on the treadmill to relieve some frustration instead of reaching for a glass or two or three of wine

137 minutes on treadmill, going 9.13 miles

Totals so far:
589/1000

Those are great numbers, and a great choice! Wow, that is a long time on the treadmill. Good for you! I had to use the treadmill for long runs a few times during my Glass Slipper Challenge training due to very uncooperative New England winter weather, and I hated every second! Well done sticking it out like that!

Way to stick with it on vacation!

I got out for a run this morning (30 min/3 miles), plus an extended warm up and cool down walk (1.6 miles/27 minutes). Then I came home and did 40 minutes of strength training. So that comes out to 97 minutes total.

590/1200 So close to the 50% mark! I will get it tomorrow for sure. I probably got it before my run with my pre-run physical therapy strength/stretch routine, but I did not time that, so I won't count it.

I'm nursing a cut baby-toe...such a silly injury. But I tested it last night by running 1.09 miles. Baby-steps. Feeling good. Gonna let it heal some more and try for longer tomorrow or Saturday. Maybe I need to do some of my arm or core workouts tonight.
Adding 11 BIG minutes :)

DVCFan, I hate the treadmill too, but it was rainy and so humid out last night.

All the more reason to be proud of that endurance! I can't imagine. I did 12 miles (little over 2 hours) leading up to GSC in 2014 due to extremely ice conditions outside. I swore I'd never step foot on a treadmill again (didn't last). Then, this year, for GSC 2015 my 11 mile run needed to be moved indoors. I could only get to 6 miles (1 hour) and then I had to get off and run my gyms indoor track -- where 18 laps = 1 mile. So I ended up doing 90 laps, rather than get back on that darn machine;)
