Spectacular Star Wars September Exercise Challenge

So while my weekend was full of bad food, it was also full of exercise!
9/5 - 30 min of swimming
9/6 - 60 min of swimming
9/7 - 60 min of swimming

Puts me at 215/1000! I'm so bummed though, my pool is closed! :(

I also totally watched the first Star Wars last night! It was night to rewatch and start getting ready for the new movie!

I'm Melting!:faint: Just kidding, but man, that was a hot run. I ran 7.3 miles (1hr21min) miles and walked 1.8 miles (32 mins) so thats 113 minutes for today.

I really have to thank all of you, because having someone to be accountable to really is upping my game;) If my math is right, I am at 448/1200.

Got some running in yesterday, supposed to be a very long run but the heat got to me. I ended up with 188 minutes running/walking (long time, but not quite the distance I wanted).

My new total is 465/1500. I'm back at it tonight. I'm hoping this week I can actually complete the marathon training plan as scheduled and in full. Otherwise I may have to step it down a notch.

:crutches:I hope it's not too late to join. My foot is still totally jacked up and I can't do much BUT I can't sit around any longer. It's bad for my health and the people around me. I tried biking today, boy that's harder than I remember ! Good news is my foot was fine- basically.
I'm shooting for 500 minutes
30 minutes today
30/500

Wow, I sure underestimated this team. It didn't take until Wednesday--the team is already C-3PO Orange, thanks to many people reporting dozens and even hundreds of minutes of exercise! :woohoo:I think we may be giving May a run for the team green this month!

In addition to the team, we have several individual :rainbow::

Given that we're entering the second week of September, let's take a quick look at the second Star Wars movie, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, released 35 years ago in 1980. Empire was self-financed by George Lucas, through profits from Star Wars and a loan (needless to say, it was a good investment). It introduced not only the iconic Imperial March, but also Lando Calrissian, Yoda, and Boba Fett. Boba was created for an animated series, and George Lucas ended up liking him so much his role in the series just kept expanding.

While Star Wars had problems filming in Tunisia, for Empire it was problems in Norway, where a major blizzard affected shooting. Director Irvin Kershner decided not to waste the snow, though: he sent Mark Hamill out the door of the hotel to film the scene where Luke wanders in the snow after being attacked by the wampa. Kershner and the cameraman stayed inside.

George Lucas consulted psychologists because he was concerned about how children would react to learning that Darth Vader was Luke's father. The consensus was that some children would handle it just fine, and those who couldn't would simply refuse to believe it was true, until they could process it.

That's a great increase! :jumping3:

:welcome: It's not too late at all! Be careful though! :flower:

20 minutes yesterday
190 minutes today ... that's 75 minutes of running and a whole lot of walking. And staring at candy without buying too much.

Awesome willpower--not only the exercise, but the staring without buying! :littleangel:

Seriously thinking about taking an unscheduled rest day tomorrow. I did a lot more walking than I thought I would today.

No one can say you haven't earned a rest day.:hippie:

35 minutes of C25K puts me at 250/1000!

I've got a question. So I'm getting a tattoo on left forearm. I'm concerned I won't be able to run for a while. Anyone got any good ideas on cardio exercises that won't stretch that area of skin? I may just go down to walking for a week or so, but I don't know. My vaca is only like, 52 days away!

75 minutes of cardio, 17 minutes of full body.

452/1000

ETA: with all the extra exercise, I've lost a pound and half already!!!:yay:

Alievans, if you keep antibacterial on your new tat it should be fine and keep it elastic (wrong word but I hope you know what I mean), I have a couple and it was good after just a few days. Running should be fine since it's on your arm.
