I read the article about the million dreams promo and it said something about space mt getting some changes, any scoop on what will be done?

That's DisneyLAND's Space Mtn, not WDW. It is a concept they tried out during grad nites this year, and are apparently tweaking a bit before it gets shown to the general public, because it said 2007.

I haven't heard that but I hope they refurb it like they did at DL. Disneyland's got a new sounds system and ride vehicles that sit two people side by side among other things. That would be awesome.

I thought DL Space MT. was done and open?? Or are they going to do something else???

They are doing a different rock and roll soundtrack and lighting at night, calling it RockIt Mountain.

AHHHH Very Cool. I need to go to DL but it is so hard when WDW is just 2 short hours away.

Dl is done but they haven't uped it yet to the public.

Right now it's just still the fast nicer dark ride.

But my understanding when we were there in June and did a preview before it opened .We were told by some of the people working ( I stopped by every time in the area to see if we could ride it yet) He told me it was 2 phases and that the second is built in to the rehab but will not get acivated until later.

It's lights and yes rock music (woofer under seats) Like the MGm's R&RRC

I rode DL re-done Space Mt --it is a lot better than the old one. Better sound (speakers by your head i think) and light shows. I heard the different music is only for grad nights.

I wish I had that problem! Actually I live about 45 minutes away from Disneyland and try to go there about once a week. If you look at our space mountain sign you can see it says space mountain (obviously) but if you see it at a different angle you can see it can light up to say rock it mountain. I've seen videos posted of the new night time ride and effects. The reviews I've read aren't very good so far. I think the best part about space mountain is the fact that you are in the dark. Adding a bunch of lights to the ride takes away the excitement. Thats just my opinion though. :rolleyes1

Maybe it's me, but this sounds like they've taken the "space" out of Space Mountain. They already have a rock n roll themed coaster, why another one??? :confused3
