Hello everyone,
Can you tell me where they sell souvenirs for pets? I am pretty sure there is a small selection at the Firestation on Main Street in the MK. But is there a larger selection somewhere else, perhaps in DTD?
TIA

In virtually all of the gift shops at the resorts, parks and DTD.

At DTD they used to have a shop for pet "gifts" called Disney Tails.
Don't know if it is still there.

Thanks for the quick response Robo. I did not know that.
I thought I remembered that there was a pet focused shop in DTD, but I can not find any info on that now. Of course we need to bring the dog a gift when we come home. :rotfl:

We have a very special (and spoiled) puppy, so I've looked for items for him on our visits.

Even at the Disney Tails store I didn't find too much outside of the dog bowls and a few other trinkets. I think Disney is missing out on an untapped market here! LOL.

I've looked and looked in all the shops and have had little luck in finding much selection.

NOW, I have found a few items over the past couple years on disneyshopping.com ... costumes, treat containers, clothes, etc. - things that I've never seen in the WDW gift shops.

On our last trip we bought our silver lab a red leather collar with Mickey head "rivets". They had a matching leash and other fun stuff. We found this at Mousegears at Epcot. This next trip we plan on getting a matching ID tag at the Firestation in MK.

We also got the cute leather collars with the Mickey heads on our last trip. We picked them up at the large store at Animal Kingdom.

I noticed at the Polynesian Resort's gift shop (Trader Jacks) they had a few chew toys, collars and doggie bowls.

Last I was there they had the same small selection in pretty much all the gift stores.

We were just there in June and bought the cutest little Minnie dress for our Chihuahua. The Pooh store at DTD still has a few pet items and WoD also has some but I think the Pooh store had more clothing. Also I have bought Mickey tennis balls at the sports store in DTD.

I bought my dog a bandana that says:
My human went to Disney World and all I got was this bandana

In the past I got a classic mickey mouse shirt for my dog. On a visit a few months ago, I got a bandana at WOD and its says something like "my human went to DW and all I got was this lousy bandana!

IMO Disney really needs to step up on their pet stuff. I go nuts buying all that junk for my boys and I'm always disappointed with their selection. They at least need to change out the stuff they do carry, I've been seeing the same dog collars for the last 2 years! They could really be making money off people like me that consider my dogs my babies and spoil them rotten!

The "real" Disney Tails closed a few years ago. I never went, but my parents said it had a huge variety of pet things. Now, it's filled up the same 10 or so things you can find everywhere on property and Winnie the Pooh, Everything Under $10, etc. I wish Disney would update the pet stuff. My Chi loves her Cinderella slipper though!

We have found and purchased dog toys at both the downtown Disney main gift shop (everything disney I think it's called?) and also at the large Epcot gift shop not far from the main entrance. We've found kong-type chew toys in both locations, a mickey shaped pull/tug toy, and various mickey 'parts' to chew on and play with.

We had made for our cats from the machines that are all over the parks

We love them!

and I have to say I was very disappointed in that 'Tails' store.
but I'm pretty sure they're closing it.

Okay-- I've never seen these machines! Since I probably don't know what I'm looking for, can someone advise where I would find them other than the Firestation store on Main Street MK? I assume they're like the ID tag machines they have at chain pet stores, but I swear I've never seen one at Disney! :confused3

And if anyone knows the prices for the tags that would be greatly appreciated too. Our dog needs tags w/ our new address but if I can get awesome Disney one's I think he can wait another month.

hmm...I couldn't tell you where exactly we saw them, but they didn't have every style at every machine. We had ours made in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. We ran around the parks for almost an entire day trying to find one that had Nemo!

I'll check my bank account and tell you how much they cost, let me get back to you.

Edit -- They were $10 each!
