Yeah - its going to be tough not to stay on Disney property, but I think I'll live. I'll be back in the bubble in October.

Growing up we always stayed off property. Now, I can hardly even consider that possibility. If it makes the difference between affording a trip or not going though, staying off property would be a no brainer. I hope you enjoy the resort.

It isn't just you... I think they've been used and abused to the point that pressure on the screen in one corner is pretty much spread over the whole pad.

I had my choice between seating for Eat to the Beat and a reserved Illuminations viewing area.

I didn't realize they had things like that there. A nice little bonus!

I was happy to read that your trip to Disney is back on. We used to stay offsite and, while it wasn't the same as staying onsite, I'll take staying offsite over not going at all.

At the festival center I decided to see what was going on in the Chase lounge. Since it was still relatively early there were still same give-aways available. I had my choice between seating for Eat to the Beat and a reserved Illuminations viewing area.

Were these types of Chase giveaways part of F&W or is there always something available? I've got that premier card and I'm wondering if I'm missing out on freebies (that I've paid for via the annual fee, if you know what I mean).

Yay for June still being on! Staying offsite can have its downsides, but hey, at least you will be in Disney, right? I had a much easier time getting used to it than I would have thought, and we always had an easy time getting to the parks from Kissimmee.

On Friday I was offered a job I applied for a month ago. I am so happy and relieved. Without going into a lot of detail, it is essentially doing the same type of nurse practitioner work I do now, but at a hospital closer to home.

Glad to hear it! Is that in the new facility? I use the Park & Ride next door every day.

But ultimately we circled back to Disney World because, let's face it, its hard to visit the sunshine state and not go visit our happy place, even in stinking hot June.

I would have a hard time skipping it too. I'm glad you will be able to get away in June, though. Makes sense to use up that vacation time!

So yeah! I already told Katmark not to cancel our CMC breakfast meet because I was working out some details.

I think I finally landed in the Atlantic Ocean. Usually I end up in the Gulf of Mexico or the Pacific. Yeah - I'm a little uncoordinated when it comes to using those touch pads.

It was part of it this year ( 2012) The Chase lounge was in the festival center and I got an email but totally forgot about the VIP area for Illuminations and did not realize it was also for eat to the beat.

I hope they do it again this year. Yeah I got suckered I mean upgraded tot eh premier card. I usually have a rule that I don't pay annual fees, they pay me but I guess I offset the annual fee. At least I am trying to.
I need to check to see if I got my signing bonus.

I'm very happy about the new job. I can't wait to get started. I am also thrilled that we are getting a "do-over" vacation - just Denny and I.

I'm glad, too. I really want a vacation before I change jobs. It's so funny that when I looked at all the possible options I just had to circle back to Disney.

That was great that I ran into her. It worked out perfect. I am bummed, though, that we just missed Tracy. She got there a little later.

I tell you what I won't miss more than anything is the behavior of some parents at these games. It's mortifying.

OMG - I know. Last year was ridiculous. The parents on Nick's team were acting like nut jobs. Really? Why? I couldn't even stand to be around them by the end of the season.

What will be, will be. I'm actually not remotely stressed about any of it, though I think Jeff and K's mom may be. Things will happen how they are meant to even if it doesn't seem so at the time, I do really believe that. The cost part might really suck over the summer but hey look at it this way...no summer trip means no summer soccer drama with conflicts and sadly...there is something to be said for that.

It is stressful and so competitive. Like I said - I hope things work out for her and she gets to play at a school that's a good fit. It's a weird time because a lot of kids just start losing interest. But the ones who don't really deserve a chance to keep playing. In a year it will all be revealed (well, actually before that).

Nice update! The more I ride SE, the more I like it. The past couple of times have definitely been my favorites.

I just love that ride. I have always been a fan and I never tire of it. It's just so classic and it fosters that feeling of anticipation.

I got an email from Disney VISA about the lounge but I think ( MNdisneygirl? maybe ) someone posted on the DIS FB page about the special viewing area for IllumiNAtions, but that part and the fact you had to pick up a wristband for it early did not fully register. Until it was too late of course.


Hopefully they will do it again this year.
