Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

I think all the gourd looking things were purple Martin houses. The other houses were those also. Purple Martins eat lots of mosquitoes, that is probably why the houses are there. Disney going green.

So what do the houses actually do? Does the shape of the house make mosquitos go in there? Is there something in there that attracts mosquitos? Inquiring minds want to know!

Love pictures of F & W! Would love to go sometime, but I'm just so darned spoiled with the low crowds during the time I go!

Maybe you could do one of your trips at the end of the September and then you could cross over for a few days.

At the Food & Wine festival? Do we even need to ask?

Ahhh......Maybe they did switch out the pepsi for a beer? It would fit!

Is that what those are? They look like early-warning sirens.

:lmao:

I know - it IS a little scary, isn't it?

So, do I look any better? :rotfl:

Probably not! :rotfl:

Good to see you're not sitting down while taking this picture. :rolleyes1

But, I DID consider it!

Those are cool!

They were really amazing!

Scoring FP's is always a wonderful thing.

Been there. Not fun at all. Have you tried Chaco sandals? They're a bit pricy but the arch support is tremendous.

Actually, Julie recommend the Chaco's to me and I bought a pair. And they have awesome arch support, but the pair I bought have this bumpy sole and I was still getting used to that. But the arch support - awesome. And I will definitely buy another pair, despite the price.

You ladies look like so much fun! I will admit I giggled a bit just looking at the pictures on the dog path lol How funny!

Well, at least you didn't faint :faint: when you saw that! :lmao: Those girls!

I have that trivet that you took a picture of, and I was a bit afraid of the weight limit as well, but I had enough room left, phew!

That trivet is so cute! In June we are driving so weight limits will not be a problem. Watch out Denny (that's my DH). He has no idea what he's in store for! I swear - traveling by plane really makes me limit what I buy. This is going to be a whole new experience without space and weight restrictions! :rotfl2:

I love those wine glasses with the stakes that you can stick in the ground!

They are pretty cool!

It's too bad that you missed the water pageant, hopefully you catch it another night!

I have bad luck when it comes to that. I have stayed at VWL before and just missed it several nights in a row. Oh well.

Hahahah WHAT on earth? I didn't even know there was a doggie path / bird feeders in Epcot. Hahah! Ya learn something new every day I guess. ;)

I never noticed them before either. I think it was simply because there were so few people in that area of the park. Or, perhaps those feeders are actually a new addition. :confused3

I'm sorry, but it would have been pretty darn funny if you had actually fallen asleep on Spaceship Earth! :lmao: I wonder if that's ever happened before? Probably so.

I was SO close to falling asleep. I was really whooped! It was actually a little unsettling. So I was actually glad to get off the ride and out to the bus! :rotfl:

I always love seeing your pictures. :goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

So glad you got pictures! That was hysterical, flat out hysterical. Though I'm farily sure our, uh, positioning, leaves a lot to be desired!

I just can't believe you both thought of doing that - at the same time! Too freakin' funny!

they were ADORABLE! So fun to chat with

They really were. The lady was more into chatting then her DH, but then he just figured "oh what the hey"

Where the heck was I during this and WHY do I not recall these at all? I've seen them in other TR's and didn't ring a bell then. I definitely didn't take any pictures of them. Last minute bio break? Call from home???

I mean I know I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I'd have at least LOOKED at these? And all I had at the lounge was water!

I have no idea. I thought you were right there with us, but there were a lot of people around. Maybe you walked ahead or maybe you were texting with Jenny. IDK.

I have given them away many a time but have never never been on the other end! We were like little kids skipping with happiness, it was SO cool!

We WERE really happy! That was a cool moment!

You did, you just hit the wall, hard, and your poor feet! When you couldn't even stay for Illuminations and it was quite soon, I knew it was bad. I'm glad you just called it and headed in, probably partially my fault for keeping you up on the beach the night before.

It was weird. I was fine until I walked outside after Soarin and then *bam* - done! Definitely not your fault. Just one of those things that happens. It always takes me awhile to adjust to later nights, since I get up so freaking early every morning.

I felt so bad that you were worried! I was definitely out later than I'd expected that's for sure and have some fun tales to tell! I was still a bit on west coast time but even so, am a night owl (comparatively speaking).

It was weird. For some reason I figured you would stay for Illuminations and a little bit longer, but I was surprised you made it that late - just considering that we had started in the parks at about 9am. But then I realized that you were fine. When I fell asleep I just sort of passed out, so when I woke up it was like WTH? Where am I? Where's Cynthia? :rotfl2:

Oh dear, the dog path pics!! :rotfl: I didn't know there was such a thing as a dog path. How interesting!

I wonder if there is one in every park??? I seriously have never noticed one before, so it was pretty funny!

Holy COW those chocolate sculptures are phenomenal!!

They were really amazing. How the heck do they do that????

Score on the Soarin' fastpasses!! I often get surprise fastpasses. I've never given one out though, I've always used them and I don't really get many.

Well, you must have lots of pixie dust! I think when you travel in September you really don't need as many FP's as during the rest of the year, but its always great to get a bonus FP!

Ahhh I've often almost fallen asleep on SE. It's so relaxing in there. I should make a playlist of dark ride soundtracks to lull me to sleep. :thumbsup2

That's a great idea! Love it!

Beautiful pictures from the Beach! LOVE the ones with the fence in the sand. Very nice.

Thank you! That was such a perfect day to have the camera with me!

OMg poolratPat cracks me up!!!!

She really IS too funny! I had such a great time hanging out with her!

Moroccian Ricky....... Or just MR. :rotfl2:

That's a perfect name, Pat! And from this day forward it shall be known as Moroccian Ricky! :rotfl2:

I know the bellini I didin't because I has flash pictures that had glare.
Blind squirrel.... ;)

That is definitely NOT a blind squirrel moment! You have another great picture in your last update! Nice work!

The title says it all.... :lmao:

I had so much fun with the dog path and the festival center.

I'm glad you like my title choice! We really did have a blast that afternoon! Couldn't have asked for more fun!

EVERYTHING looks better. :rotfl2: Even Disney Prices.....

:rotfl2: Hahahahahhaha! Good one! And that is totally the truth - some beer googles and the next thing you know your pocket book is much lighter!

I think I even cracked me up..... That dog path just struck me funny.

I was a bit bewildered too as to why but service dogs makes sense.

Down that path there was a door.... it was locked but I was really curious what was in there too. A doggie toilet of sorts ???? :rotfl2:

So you tried to get in the door! :rotfl2: Of course you did. Why did I even ask? :rotfl2: I think we all need to start looking in the other parks for doggie paths. They must exist!

The houses are for the purple martins to nest in, also the gourd looking things. Martins like to nest in colonies & are very picky about their nesting places. That is why there are two types of housing. Martins fly out at dusk to eat Mosquitos flying in the air. If you look around in rural areas you will see these types of nesting places on poles in yards.

We have gone later in September, but the crowds were worse & Bob absolutely hates crowded places.

The doggie path was too funny!

It really was. What happens on the doggie path definitely does not stay on the doggie path! :rotfl2:

Very cool that you got the fast passes given to you. I know it has happened to me before and it is always a bit.."wait, what?" and then :cool1::cool1: type of feeling.

Yes - it starts with some shock and disbelief "Me????" YEAHHHHHHHHH! :cheer2:

Very cool you got to go to the Chase lounge. I had plans of doing it...but then was unable to. :sad2:

I went in on another morning as well. They had some freebies they were giving out in the morning. I scored a bracelet to an private Illuminations viewing area. That was cool.

The chocolate sculptures are ANOTHER thing I missed...and those are something I would really have liked to have seen.

They really were amazing. Oh well, next time! It's just impossible to do it all.

great update!

Thanks!

And these two photos just say Pat to me. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Pat is so freaking funny! You are right - those photos are 100% Pat!

Didn't get a chance to comment on the update earlier today when I read it but I was :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: at the doggie pictures and Pat's cool glasses!

I'm glad you like the pictures of our crazy antics that day!!!!! We were having so much fun!

Way to score on the Soarin Fps!! Too bad your feet were giving you trouble MEK, but good to rest them.

It was so fun to get surprise FP's. After we recovered from the shock we were :cheer2: so excited!!!!!

And my feet - ugh - they just aren't what they used to be! But I did really well during the trip and I think all the walking actually helped!

Luvin the update. Those chocolate sculptures look amazing!

Thanks! And those chocolate creations were so amazingly cool! What a talent. How the heck do they do that????

Sometimes, the best thing to do while at WDW is to just cut your losses and opt for an early night. Makes you feel a thousand times better the following morning. At least, I'm hoping for your sake it did!

You know I am the queen of the afternoon break, so I think without that and with the drinking - I was done! Cynthia and Pat are obviously a lot hardier than I am. :rotfl2: It was actually good that I went to bed on the early side. I did wake up more refreshed than I would have.

Those chocolate creations are awesome. It's one of those rare times where I don't want to eat the sweets the second I see them. :lmao:

I just can't believe how creative those artists must be to make them. Forget the cake boss. They should do a show on chocolate artists! Or maybe they already have that. :confused3

I love, love, love those drink holders! Were they a Food and Wine specific merchandise? I sure hope not. And if not, I'm hoping they have them whenever I make it back to WDW. Everyone pretty much lives at my parent's pool during the summer, and those little stands would be ideal for a hot FL afternoon. Genius.... :thumbsup2 (I apologize for going on and on about this, I just love how Disney sells some of the coolest items.)

I only saw them in the Festival Center, but quite honestly I wasn't really looking for them anywhere else. So, maybe! You'll just have to get there next October. If I see them next year, I could get them shipped to you. They would be perfect for a pool. I want one with a base that I can just put on my deck! :thumbsup2

What a great night and a riot of an update!

The picture of Cynthia and Pat on the dog path is HILARIOUS! :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

That was such a funny moment and I remember thinking - I can't wait to post this on the DIS! I was laughing so hard. Just too, too funny!

The chocolate sculptures are amazing!
They were really amazing! So much talent in those sculptures!

Congrats on scoring some Soarin' pixie dust. That's the holy grail of donated FPs. :cool1:

That was so great! Such a score and a perfect way to wrap up our adventures around the world!

Sorry to hear your feet were bothering you. Hope that getting some rest helped.

At some point Pat actually gave me some biofreeze and I bought some Peppermint stuff in the world showcase, but the biofreeze worked best! ;)

I often find myself trying to recreate a dish I've seen on the DIS. its dangerous!

Actually, I think that sounds ambition, not dangerous! I wish I could do that!

is thsi always at epcot? I've never seen it but looks like a great place to sit for a few minutes. where is it?

It's in the very back of the Festival Center. But I think the Festival Center is only open during F&W and F&G. I honestly don't know. Hopefully someone smart does!

wow they are amazing! I see they are behind glass...so no one accidentally licks them?:lmao:

Oh yeah - they wouldn't last a day if they weren't behind glass, that's for sure!

how awesome that karma came back around in a good way for you!!!:cool1:
I get that all of a sudden tired feeling --it always seems to hit me like I've walked into a wall or something. Its so hard to call it when you want to do more.

We were all so excited to get those bonus FP's!!!!!

That sudden fatigue usually doesn't happen to me in Disney. I am usually always able to push through, but when afternoon drinking is involved all bets are off!

Your Rehoboth photos are gorgeous ME!

Thank you! It was a perfect day to take pics!

Looks like a perfectly delicious trip around the world! You ladies had so much fun together! :lmao::lmao:Doggie Do :lmao::lmao: At this point, you must have been feeling your wine a little?

Cynthia, thanks for the mole lesson! I am thinking I'd love to try that one - need to get a new blender - I got rid of my old one when we moved. Just throwing everyting in with no chopping sounds great to me!

Love the wine bar - must try that one! Maybe I'll have Jim take me there for date night on our trip in July. Not a place to gather with the grandbabies!:upsidedow

Pat, I enjoyed your perspective too! Nice DISmeet! Looks like the peeps in Tangerine were just waiting for someone to join them :goodvibes Thanks for sharing the video. How cool that you got front row all together on Soarin'! I do hope they do a refurb on that one one of these days. I wish they would do an East coast version at WDW and keep the West Coast version at DLR.

Mary Ellen, I haven't listened to your tribute yet, because I've been going through some stuff, and I just couldn't deal with the sadness. I will, I promise. I really want to see it and to join you in your tribute.

Your pics of Rehoboth turned out great - looks like a great place to visit! I guess the hurricane didn't hit up there?

:clown: Glad I could entertain. :lmao: I had been in the festival center before but missed those the first time.

A fun afternoon for sure.

Pat - you are always entertaining!

And - by the way - Cynthia and I are planning a return to the world in May 2014 so maybe we can convince you to join us! ;)

I could sworn I commented on the update , but anywho LOVED the Pat and Cynthia pix !!! The chocolate creations were YUMMY!!!

I thought you did too! Oh wait - NO - your last post was about Moroccan Ricky!
:rotfl2:

That dog path picture is hilarious! :lmao:

It is rather shocking, isn't it? :rotfl2:

We checked out the Chase Lounge as well but it was much more crowded. Looks like y'all went in there at a good time. :thumbsup2

We did go at a good time. It wasn't empty, but most of the people there were just charging their phones. :rotfl:

The night sounds like a lot of fun!

We had SO much fun that afternoon and evening and the fun clearly continues for Pat and Cynthia. This old lady had to head home!

I wish I had tried the Coq au Vin in France. I was just too full!

It was really good! I really enjoyed it. So you'll just have to go back next year!

:thumbsup2 good since I haven't even started my update yet!

Ugh - I am really struggling right now to keep up, but next week should be better. I still have a lot of pictures to edit, though!

And then had to take a picture of our pixie dust!

PA176639.jpg

I'm glad you did! SCORE! :thumbsup2

IMG_0991.jpg

Coq au Vin sure Gratin de Macaroni (Red Wine Braised Chicken, Mushrooms, Pearl Onions and Macaroni Gratin).

I was so hungry right at that moment and it hit the spot totally for me! I really enjoyed it and the macaroni was so yummy! I could have eaten two more. at least! :rotfl2:

but Pat informed me that the kiosks all closed when Illuminations started. Good to know!

I did NOT know that. Did they close on Saturday night. Maybe that's why the line to get champagne was so darn long! :rotfl:

PA176643.jpg

Angry Orchard Hard Cider – Crisp Apple

to go with this

PA176644.jpg

Pumpkin Mousse with Ocean Spray Craisins Brand Dried Cranberries and Orange Sauce

I am so sorry I never tried that mousse. I know you raved over it. It's very high on my list for next year!

And clearly shouldn't give up my day job!

:rotfl2: I know that feeling. Very well!

But first, a photo op of the DIS girls

DSC04407_zps69ce5273.jpg

Jenny, myself, Pat and Jenna. I am so grateful to the DIS for introducing me to these wonderful ladies! And hey, an picture of me with a margarita, in my margarita shirt. Score!

This is a great picture and I love how everyone got a different colored rita! Maybe I should have gone after all. A rita may have given me some energy! :rotfl:

Not only was it open but the staff was ready to PAR-TAY!

DSC04410_zps7c13547e.jpg

DSC04413_zps2bd55a74.jpg

Too funny! It's great to see the CM's having such a fun time at the end of their night! You really did close out the park. You go girl!

Slowly getting caught up here. Time for a break. I shall return for more replies and I am going to get the links all up to date ladies!!!!!!

LOL... Mary Ellen I love that you are getting caught up on your own TR...:rotfl:

Oh My, you ladies did have a good time at Epcot didn't you...;) (I think I may have even caught a couple of things that are still boderline illegal in several states...;)

Cynthia... I thought of you when I took my mom to the Acme yesterday... I saw tomatillos... (I don't know if you have Acme... hmmm... don't know if they are national... Mary Ellen probs has them...) anyway I almost bought them but I wasn't quite ready to make that recipe although I plan on it... but then I just thought of your escapades and cracked up...

I already loved the Tangierine Cafe... love it more now...:goodvibes

I definately need to find that dog path!!!!Pat I smell a pix coming in October !!!:rotfl2:Reading that I am wondering if SMELL and Doggie Path should be together :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I went in on another morning as well. They had some freebies they were giving out in the morning. I scored a bracelet to an private Illuminations viewing area. That was cool.

ooohhh YOu got one. I am looking forward to hearing about that since I totally missed it. I guess there is always this year. :cool1:

Pat is so freaking funny! You are right - those photos are 100% Pat!

Thanks I think.... ;) I am sure our drinking contributed to some of that... but it was great to be able to just laugh and have fun.

You know I am the queen of the afternoon break, so I think without that and with the drinking - I was done! Cynthia and Pat are obviously a lot hardier than I am. :rotfl2: It was actually good that I went to bed on the early side. I did wake up more refreshed than I would have.

Having your feet hurt just zaps you. Having your feet and/or your back hurt just make everything hurt too.

I only saw them in the Festival Center, but quite honestly I wasn't really looking for them anywhere else. So, maybe! You'll just have to get there next October. If I see them next year, I could get them shipped to you. They would be perfect for a pool. I want one with a base that I can just put on my deck! :thumbsup2

They might have them for flower and garden???? Kind of fits that theme too.

At some point Pat actually gave me some biofreeze and I bought some Peppermint stuff in the world showcase, but the biofreeze worked best! ;)

Glad it helped. I swear by that stuff and now tiger sports balm. Really does the trick. :thumbsup2

It's in the very back of the Festival Center. But I think the Festival Center is only open during F&W and F&G. I honestly don't know. Hopefully someone smart does!

You are smart and I believe correct. It was Disney Visa that hosted the lounge so if you have a Disney Visa you and guests of yours can get in.

I definately need to find that dog path!!!!Pat I smell a pix coming in October !!!:rotfl2:Reading that I am wondering if SMELL and Doggie Path should be together :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Considering that is the entrance to Mousegears that has the.....odor.... :rotfl2:

Mary Ellen - great update. I totally commiserate with your feet issues. I have had plantar fasciitis for about a year. When feet are done for the day they are done. I do have some great supportive sandals. Not as cute as I used to wear but feet
Love them.

Plantar fasciitis is such a drag. I have gotten to the point where I have very few days that it doesn't bother me. Denny blames it on running, but its not that anymore. I just can't go a day without wearing inserts. It's so weird which shoes feel good and which don't. My dress shoes that I wear to church actually feel better than a lot of my other shoes. Now there's a switch!

Love your pixie dust story about the soarin fast passes. Wonderful!

It really was great to get those FPS! We were all so psyched!!!!

Wow! What a great update!

Cynthia's update was a lot of fun! She had too much fun that evening while I was home sleeping. :rotfl:

You are so right about Soarin'. That screen could do with a serious makeover, but the ride is still a lot of fun! :thumbsup2

I totally agree with that. I have hated that screen for a couple years and depending on where you sit its either worse or better!

Looks like some yum food and a visit to the Ditch! You definitely know how to live! :goodvibes
Getting back late? Ah, no problem, you were on vacation. ;)

The Ditch is one of my favorite places in the world and I'm glad Cynthia stayed out late and really enjoyed her time.

Of course you didn't... :rotfl2:

I had no idea they were trying to get in. :rotfl2: girls! sheesh!

Of course you didn't... :rotfl2:
Well, forget about the baggie stand, I'd be more concerned about stepping in the other kind of evidence. :rotfl2::rotfl:

:rotfl2:

Of course you didn't... :rotfl2:
Well, I've never really thought about it, but I guess not.

Ah Beer Goggles - I think Cynthia's right - you can never have too many pictures!

Of course you didn't... :rotfl2:
Well, I can understand the desire to try new things while at F&W, but sometimes when you're hungry, you just need that known commodity that will hit the spot.

So true. So true!

Of course you didn't... :rotfl2:
Wooohooo! Free Fast Passes and free drinks all on the same day! :cool1:

It really doesn't get any better than that, does it?

Of course you didn't... :rotfl2:
I'm glad you all hit it off so well and had such a good time finishing the evening with them! :thumbsup2

It sounds like Cynthia had an awesome evening. I'm sorry I missed it, but that's the way it goes sometime!

I saw that dog sign when we were in Epcot the other day and I was like ....wha ???? :confused3 My guess is it is for guide dogs or "therapy dogs".

:welcome: Scooter Mom! Did you just say you were in Disney the other day??? I am so jealous! Yes - I think it must be for guide dogs. But I have never noticed it in other parks!

Also, I loved those wine holders. Perfect for the beach. And speaking of the beach, I loved your fence photos on the beach !!!

Thanks! and Yes - those cup holders would be great for the beach! or a pool. or a backyard.

Past Figment

IMG_0106.jpg

This picture is awesome! So much better than mine! :thumbsup2

Cucumber Margarita- Yes Thanks Michael....

I love the cucumber margarita and the jalapeño margarita! Soooooooo goooooood!

It was a fun night.

This is a great video! They look like they are having too much fun!

Oh - and pat - too funny that we took a picture of that same hat! :rotfl:

The houses are for the purple martins to nest in, also the gourd looking things. Martins like to nest in colonies & are very picky about their nesting places. That is why there are two types of housing. Martins fly out at dusk to eat Mosquitos flying in the air. If you look around in rural areas you will see these types of nesting places on poles in yards.

I have seen the little house thingies, but I have never seen the gourds before. I really thought they were the hummingbird feeders. Thanks for the explanation. That's why I love the DIS boards - you always learn something new!

We have gone later in September, but the crowds were worse & Bob absolutely hates crowded places.

Then you guys better stick with September because it has got to be the least crowded time of the year. I have to admit - the idea of a September trip is so appealing, but F&W was so much fun and, other than Epcot being crowded on Saturday night, I didn't think the crowds were bad at all.

Looks like a perfectly delicious trip around the world! You ladies had so much fun together! :lmao::lmao:Doggie Do :lmao::lmao: At this point, you must have been feeling your wine a little?

Oh yes - I think we were definitely feeling the wine. :rotfl: But in a good way. I didn't real feel drunk, just a little tipsy and a lot more mellow. It's a fun way to see the world!

Cynthia, thanks for the mole lesson! I am thinking I'd love to try that one - need to get a new blender - I got rid of my old one when we moved. Just throwing everyting in with no chopping sounds great to me!

Cynthia really did give a great lesson! I knew she would! :worship: And that Mole sauce was so amazing!

Love the wine bar - must try that one! Maybe I'll have Jim take me there for date night on our trip in July. Not a place to gather with the grandbabies!:upsidedow

So you are going in July? Nice. We will be there for a week in June. Definitely check out the wine bar. I am going to pull Denny in there in June! The wine Ditch is clearly going to be one of my new favorites!

That was a great video!

I agree - an East Coast version would be pretty cool! Great idea!

Mary Ellen, I haven't listened to your tribute yet, because I've been going through some stuff, and I just couldn't deal with the sadness. I will, I promise. I really want to see it and to join you in your tribute.

I'm sorry you have had some sad stuff going on in your life. The video is a little bit sad, I will admit. But in a way its also uplifting because there are so many wonderful pictures of Tracy - before she got sick and afterwards. And the amazing thing about Tracy is in sickness and in health she never let her smile fade. What an infectious smile!

Your pics of Rehoboth turned out great - looks like a great place to visit! I guess the hurricane didn't hit up there?

Thank you! There's something really cool and invigorating about a sunny winter day at the beach, so I'm glad I had my camera along for that visit~

LOL... Mary Ellen I love that you are getting caught up on your own TR...:rotfl:

I don't know whether its funny or sad! :rotfl: But these last two weeks have been busy for me, so I feel like I am continuously behind on this TR and everyone else's!

Oh My, you ladies did have a good time at Epcot didn't you...;) (I think I may have even caught a couple of things that are still boderline illegal in several states...;)

:rotfl: OMG - I think you are probably right - :rotfl: We really did have a wonderful time. It was so spontaneous and just so much fun!

Yes - I definitely have an Acme. It's somewhat overpriced, but I will have to look for them. Let me rephrase that - the Acme is awesome for people who plan their shopping trips around the sales. But for someone like me who likes to buy everything at once and not set foot in a store for two months - not so much. :rotfl:

I already loved the Tangierine Cafe... love it more now...:goodvibes

Very well said - I love the food there too, but that video takes the whole love thing to new heights!

I definately need to find that dog path!!!!Pat I smell a pix coming in October !!!:rotfl2:Reading that I am wondering if SMELL and Doggie Path should be together :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh Rosie - even at midnight, you crack me UP! :lmao: Yes - Pat will have to show you the path. And I expect pictures - LOTS of them!

ooohhh YOu got one. I am looking forward to hearing about that since I totally missed it. I guess there is always this year. :cool1:

Well.....oh never mind......I'll get to that update eventually!

Thanks I think.... ;) I am sure our drinking contributed to some of that... but it was great to be able to just laugh and have fun.

Yes - and I am sure our drinking contributed to me crashing and burning at 9pm. Seriously - that hit by a "ton of bricks" feeling was tough to swallow!

Having your feet hurt just zaps you. Having your feet and/or your back hurt just make everything hurt too.

Back or neck pain is the worse. At least with my feet they would loosen up after walking, but that night I was just completely fried!

They might have them for flower and garden???? Kind of fits that theme too.

It definitely fits the theme of F&G!

Glad it helped. I swear by that stuff and now tiger sports balm. Really does the trick. :thumbsup2

It really helped a lot and I still have one left over pack. In fact, I saw a pack of it in Nick's room and I asked him why he took my biofreeze. He said it was his and he got it from his trainer at school. :rotfl: Thanks for the heads-up on the tiger balm!

You are smart and I believe correct. It was Disney Visa that hosted the lounge so if you have a Disney Visa you and guests of yours can get in.

I loved that lounge! Really cute in there.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Considering that is the entrance to Mousegears that has the.....odor.... :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

I some how missed this picture! What a great pic! It makes me excited for next fall when I get to go with some of my favorite disgals. I know that it is hard to be away from kids and husbands and what not, but... how much fun?!?

This picture is awesome! So much better than mine! :thumbsup2

Blind squirrel I tell you. But I will admit- the more playing around I am doing the "better" some come out. I might be actually getting the hang of this. :rotfl2:

Oh Rosie - even at midnight, you crack me UP! :lmao: Yes - Pat will have to show you the path. And I expect pictures - LOTS of them!

I know where that one is and it will be a perfect since it is actually near a "people: bathroom.

Well.....oh never mind......I'll get to that update eventually!

:rotfl2: Oh No....

Thanks for the heads-up on the tiger balm!

I did have to go at a specialty Asian market to get it- Massage thereapist told me where, but totally worth it.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Oh Rosie - Maybe too many TRs and PTRs going on...

Wow! What a great update!

You are so right about Soarin'. That screen could do with a serious makeover, but the ride is still a lot of fun! :thumbsup2

Looks like some yum food and a visit to the Ditch! You definitely know how to live! :goodvibes
Getting back late? Ah, no problem, you were on vacation. ;)

The ride is still fun, it just makes me a bit sad, I mean how hard would it be to fix that, really? It was a very fun night all around. In my normal trip fashion I can't say it was really all that late, just later than I'd expected but it was fine and I'm very glad I stayed out!

Of course you didn't... :rotfl2:

Well, forget about the baggie stand, I'd be more concerned about stepping in the other kind of evidence. :rotfl2::rotfl:

See...and I didn't even think of that. EEEEWWW!

Well, I can understand the desire to try new things while at F&W, but sometimes when you're hungry, you just need that known commodity that will hit the spot.

Or a close, relatively short line that your friends are going in. It was good, no doubt. And HUGE.

Wooohooo! Free Fast Passes and free drinks all on the same day! :cool1:

I'm glad you all hit it off so well and had such a good time finishing the evening with them! :thumbsup2

Seriously, what more can anyone ask for? It was a great night.

Gotta ask... why was that the only place open in WS? And why would it be open later than others?

And the cucumber drink... was it good?

I know... I am just full of questions. ;)

Well Pat will have to answer on the cucumber, though I think Mary Ellen may have tried that one before as well? Apparently for EMH all the food in the WS shuts down. Or some, it's sporadic that's for sure. The F&W kiosks definitely stop at normal park closing, so right before Illuminations. No clue why Morrocco was still open. It is possible some of the other CS was, we didn't check everywhere that's for sure but it was all we could find as we headed that way. I do think Fountainview was still open, not sure about SS.

I do know the one night Jeff and I did EMH at WS without kids there was more open than I'd expected...at least the slushie stand was still open. And obviously the Ditch was open and they do have some apps but it's basically chips and salsa, not the full meals the gang was looking for.

Looks like a perfectly delicious trip around the world! You ladies had so much fun together! :lmao::lmao:Doggie Do At this point, you must have been feeling your wine a little?

you think? :lmao:

Cynthia, thanks for the mole lesson! I am thinking I'd love to try that one - need to get a new blender - I got rid of my old one when we moved. Just throwing everyting in with no chopping sounds great to me!

That was a huge thing for me, I feel like I spend half my life chopping. The idea of not chopping sounded heavenly!

Love the wine bar - must try that one! Maybe I'll have Jim take me there for date night on our trip in July. Not a place to gather with the grandbabies!:upsidedow

I hope, I mean PLAN, to get there with Jeff next Dec. We shall see though, the idea of leaving those 5 boys alone anywhere makes me far more nervous than not.

Pat - you are always entertaining!

And - by the way - Cynthia and I are planning a return to the world in May 2014 so maybe we can convince you to join us! ;)

:thumbsup2

I did NOT know that. Did they close on Saturday night. Maybe that's why the line to get champagne was so darn long! :rotfl:

That's exactly why the line was so long, it was about to shut down. Shoot, now I need to remember where I was trying to go that I ended up there I just remember I went exactly the opposite way of where I should have gone and gave up based on the crowds. Plus it was Saturday which didn't help.

I am so sorry I never tried that mousse. I know you raved over it. It's very high on my list for next year!

I loved that mousse! And $1.50!!!!

This is a great picture and I love how everyone got a different colored rita! Maybe I should have gone after all. A rita may have given me some energy! :rotfl:

Too funny! It's great to see the CM's having such a fun time at the end of their night! You really did close out the park. You go girl!

It was so much fun!!!! I am very glad I stayed, though I was super sad you had to go. And besides, you closed down plenty of parks with me the rest of the week. :thumbsup2

LOL... Mary Ellen I love that you are getting caught up on your own TR...:rotfl:

Oh My, you ladies did have a good time at Epcot didn't you...;) (I think I may have even caught a couple of things that are still boderline illegal in several states...;)

:rotfl:

We don't have Acme. I've seen them at 2 stores, meant to look at the 3rd yesterday but forgot. I will say there was a rather dramatic difference in the apparent quality of them between the 2 stores I saw them at. One definitely looked out of season (very small, fully in the husk, almost like they were starting to go) versus the one I did buy them from, where they were bigger and partially exposed so you could see the fruit.

I need dinner inspiration for tonight, that's all I know. Course I have to do some dishes before I can even get there!

:rotfl: Oh Rosie - what are we going to do with you? I think Pat's right - you have too many PTR/TRs going on. You're starting to get confused. :rotfl:

Blind squirrel I tell you. But I will admit- the more playing around I am doing the "better" some come out. I might be actually getting the hang of this. :rotfl2:

I think I have gotten to a point where I don't think I'm going to get any better with the camera until I have some real lessons. I keep thinking about singing up for a course. But, of course, it never happens. Always something else to do.

I know where that one is and it will be a perfect since it is actually near a "people: bathroom.

I was thinking that. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Oh No....

It's really not that bad!

I did have to go at a specialty Asian market to get it- Massage thereapist told me where, but totally worth it.

REally? Speciality Asian market. Hmmmmm - I don't think I have one of those around here, but whenever something is worth it its worth some incovenience to get it.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Oh Rosie - Maybe too many TRs and PTRs going on...

:rotfl: She really does. It's not really dementia she is suffering from, its dismentia! :rolleyes1
