Sorcery in the Sky Question

Can anyone tell me about the show? Where is the best place to view show and will this show make the park so crowded that I should avoid the show. Thank you for any help you can give

There is no such animal any more, except for a special version on July 4th and New Year's Eve. Fantasmic replaced it a long time ago.

thank you mic_ky_mouse. I was planning on being in MGM on July 4th and was planning on going to Fantasmic on a dinner package which I was supprised to get a PS res. yesterday.

Now that I know when you are going, I would say to go ahead and attend despite shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. It is a rare event, and if you have the opportunity to see it I would take advantage of it

The best viewing is on Hollywood Boulevard facing the theater. It is gonna be packed out, so just take whatever spots are available

We will be there on the 4th also and was wondering if anyone can describe Sorcery in the Sky. I have a Fantasmic Package reserved but think I may cancel and do Fantasmic a different night. Is Sorcery in the Sky more of a fireworks show like at Magic Kingdom? Thanks for your experience and advice.

I saw it on New Years Eve. It was so much fun! MGM actually wasn't as crowded as you may think, you could actually move around the park w/ enough ease. I heard that MK and EPCOT that night were CRAZY! NO ONE COULD MOVE! I think your best bet if you are there for a holiday is to go to MGM, it is usually the least crowded and Sorcery in the Sky is so much fun! It is a great show and the music is outstanding, I wish they still did it after Fantasmic ended on busy nights!

Does anyone know if it is possible to see both Fantasmic and Sorcery In The Sky on July 4th? What time are they both, and do you need to manouevre far in the crowds between two different spots to see both?
