Something Wicked this MAY Comes! 18 nights @ RPR & SFR. An April/May 2025 TR

The only reason I go on the Dis anymore is for your TRs, Carole! I actually caught myself up on this one tonight while enjoying our final night at Portofino Bay! We popped over for a quick birthday trip for me and while my toddler loved the pools, your report is making me wish we stayed at RPR again! I truly think it’s the best of the on-property resorts.

I am so sorry to hear about your panic attack! I got struck with a fainting spell at Sea World in Texas as a teen and like you, it was only the other patrons who helped me, not team members.

Thank you so much for the detailed experience of your time at Helios! I could feel your enjoyment for it through the screen!

Starlink failing me today Can't get quotes to work properly

great updates

like the featured statue salute, too many guests have zero knowledge of U's history, it's surprising

We all have our quirks. Can't help it, some people do manage to make my teeth clench by the most innocuous habits

We spent far too much time playing on Lily pads...bud-weis-er. Showed a couple kids 'the way'. One parent didn't appear to be appreciative Hmmph lighten up lol

Oh, to have WDW resorts honor a do not disturb sign again! Sounds like some people will try anything to get over. So much effort wasted when they could be enjoying their vacation. Makes you wonder

Glad you have the internet though, we`re all lost without it, but it is nice to have a break from it now and again, but maybe not out at sea, that`s an essential!!

I agree, some folks know zero about the history of Universal especially with their movies and how they influenced everything. The history of all these legends are amazing to know, very interesting.

Years ago, a TM told us she had an adult ask her if that statue of Lew was Walt Disney.....lol.....I can easily believe it!! She said she was speechless and almost agreed but just couldn`t.

Oh agree people can irk you for many reasons, but people being a messy or noisy eater is something I can`t deal with, especially in a quiet environment. But, yes, it doesn`t take much at times lol....

Heck, I`d forgotten "Bud....weis.....eeeeerrrrrrrr" lol.....that was funny!!! Goodness yes, some folks don`t appreciate fun at times.

Agree again, some of the tales we`ve been told over the years about guests and their antics, I would be ashamed, but their priortities seem to be getting something for free. It`s no surprise they end up on a special type of list!!!!

Hope the trip is continuing to be as fabulous and you`re both still having a wonderful trip!!

That was sweet of the other guests to check on your wellbeing after Gringotts. It’s a shame the TM’s didn’t perform better though - panic attacks can’t be that rare an occurrence in the parks so I’m sure it must form some part of their training :(

Adding a rum neuralyser to my to do list…

Yes, I think everyone saw it happen, but the young lads were a nice surprise especially due to their lack of English. I agree, I`m sure they deal with that and worse every day, it annoyed Tom that she just basically ignored him.

You`ll love that drink!!!! 🥰

:welcome: back klacey

Well, it is good to see you and praise indeed....I`ll take it happily :worship:

That`s not good to hear about your SW experience, it`s a shame when that happens. Being honest we`ve always found the TM to be brilliant in those cases. I had an awful experience on Simpsons way back, I was clinging on to the wall before dropping lol....quite the sight I imagine, but the TM`s there were brilliant and chased after Tom and Kyle who were oblivious :rotfl:

Helios was amazing, loved it and we spent more time there on our Epic day which is coming up soon, beautiful hotel and gorgeous food and drink options!!

:bday: glad to hear you`re having a nice trip to PB, always nice to celebrate a birthday and what a lovely place to be. Yes, the pools are nice there but like you, I do still prefer RP, maybe next trip you`ll be back there.

Really glad to see you and lovely to read your comments, don`t be a stranger :wave2:

We did have a little snooze, but not for long and we made it down to the lounge where we chatted to a couple called Bob and Elaine, they were very nice and easy to chat to.

A couple of glasses of fizzy were enjoyed and we had a nice time chatting to the ladies looking after everyone tonight, it was fairly quiet so we did manage to have a conversation with each of them.

i-NMRHdCV-X2.jpg

Tonights offerings in the lounge were a nice little salad with black beans in it so I didn`t touch that one but there were chicken Fajitas, vegetable rice and the usual sides and nicely sized wraps and we were pleased to see they had brought back the sour cream which is an essential if you`re having fajitas.

i-RNkWhLC-X2.jpg

i-SgqvfZW-X2.jpg

We did try the chicken, I added some tabasco to mine and the chicken was as always, incredibly tender. Tom had a wrap with his chicken, some salsa and sour cream, he did enjoy it, just a little pre dinner snack!

i-JJ7nzD7-X2.jpg

Our lovely Egle came up to see us tonight, she had come up last night but we had gone to Bar Helios and missed the lounge, it is always lovely to see her, we have known her for years and she is one of the Housekeeping managers for T1. Catching up with her is always nice, lovely lady.

i-Ss4LKhL-X2.jpg

We wandered over to Strong Water for dinner tonight and we were a little aprehensive as this was our first time here without Fernando welcoming everyone with a smile and we would miss knowing many of the staff so well.

Of course there are still very familiar faces here and they still do a wonderful job and it was so good to see them.

Angel was taking care of us tonight and we recalled together he had never actually looked after us directly, but always greeted us with a huge smile and hug.

Maggie came over instantly and she is someone we absolutely adore and again, have known her since 2018, lovely lady and probably the heart of Strong Water with a couple of others. We handed over the huge bag of chocolate to her with her own little personal gift bag with some little items we know she loves, she said she would make sure the big bag was handed out to everyone.

We ordered the Caribbean Mirage for Tom, he does love a pink drink and I ordered a very, very spicy margarita and Sattina made it so I knew it would be perfect!!! And it was.

Tom`s had Diplomatico Planas, Chambord, Licor 43 and various shrubs with scents of lavendar, lemon and orange bitters, it was beautiful!!!

My margarita speaks for itself!

i-LmKgkk3-X2.jpg

Chef Carlos came out, I think Maggie went and told him we were in, he is the nicest man and comes up with some amazing recipes for the restaurant, very inventive man and funny too, he has us howling with laughter at times and the most down to earth man ever.

I told him I wanted to try the Chicken Skewer that was new since our last visit, he said it was a good choice.

And it really was, the soy glazed chicken was accompanied with chunks of bell pepper, maduro, spicy coleslaw, coconut risotto cake, mango sauce and was absolutely gorgeous, we could have eaten one each.

i-kjm7VGb-X2.jpg

But, we also ordered a side of sweet plantain which could be one of my favourite foods ever thanks to Chef Carlos, and one of our other favourite dishes is the Surf and Turf Pinchos which was Chimichurri marinated steak, shrimp, yellow squash, zucchini, bell pepper, Kalamata olive oil with a slice of the their wonderful Cuban garlic bread.

i-C74zVFG-X2.jpg

With having the extra plantain, these two dishes were more than enough for dinner between the two of us, everything is so tasty and well cooked as always, the beef and shrimp were beautiful.

Our second drinks were The Reverend and Tom went for the original and incredibly strong Mai Tai, I struggle to drink one of these due to the strength of the alcohol but I always take a few sips of Tom`s drink, it is very nice.

Maggie wasn`t busy tonight, so she managed to have a really good catch up with us, she is such a lovely lady and very professional, and along with some of the others we managed to catch up with all that was going on. I think the only one we didn`t get to meet was the new manager who was obviously busy.

i-cGKZ48d-X2.jpg

And of course we grabbed a moment with Hillary, Angel, Sattina and of course Maggie, such lovely people and they all thanked us for the chocolate, I`m sure it was very much appreciated.

i-H2GZrt2-X2.jpg

It was strange tonight, it did feel different, but with so many lovely folks still there it was still a very good place to be. If you were going in as a first timer you`d think it was amazing, but for us it missed Fernando and the other half of the much loved team.

However, the food and the cocktails are still top notch!

Maggie was leaving early so we said our goodbye`s to her and said we`d see her soon, she had a weeks vacation coming up, and about 15 minutes later, Angel brought out a Rum n Raisin and a Dulce de Leche ice cream for us from her, she is very kind and thoughtful as she knows they are both our favourite ice creams.

i-4j3rvLz-X2.jpg

i-BZNwVBc-X2.jpg

We couldn`t believe how late we were here tonight, we chatted the evening away and it wasn`t too busy as the conference folks had left and would start up again in a day or so, it always gets very busy when they are on, good for business but not so good if you fancy a quiet drink.

Eventually we headed back home, it`s a longer wander so late at night for some reason :rolleyes1but we get back and hit bed straight away, apart from a short glance out of the window at our lovely view, but sleep called and tomorrow we had a full day, well slightly late start but we were planning to enjoy some time at UOR newest park.

FRIDAY MAY 2ND

1749388151382.gif

As always we slept amzingly well, and we knew we could sleep late as our day at Epic wouldn`t be an early one, so we planned to just sleep as long as we could. Down side of being early birds, well me more than Tom is that I was still awake before it got light. So, I went through to the sitting room and read my book for a time and poured myself a pineapple juice I was glad we had bought some for the fridge, very refreshing.

Eventually I heard sleeping beauty rumbling around so, I got showered and dressed while Tom "thought about getting up". He does like to take it easy in the mornings and today especially we were in no rush to get anywhere. We didn`t plan to get to Epic till after 11am, we fancied waiting till most folks had already gone in, so after breakfast we had planned to catch up with a couple of folks who were back at work today before we headed over there.

Nicolette who is the Concierge manager came up to see us this morning, so after chatting for a time we said we were going to Epic, she was suddenly horrified thinking she had held us up, but she was relieved after we told her our plan to go late. She is a lovely girl who is doing an amazing job as manager here and so easy to talk to, we appreciated her taking the time to come chat to us.

Eventually we went back to get our stuff from our room before heading down to get the bus, which causes some hilarity from our friends who think it`s hilarious I was finally travelling by bus....I sent my very, very good friend Felicity a quick email with a picture of us on the bus and she replied to me with this!!!!

i-Qpr6Nmk-S.gif

And she asked where my sparkly tiara was, well, long story with that one 😏

I honestly think I get an unwarranted bad rap for not wanting to travel on buses!!!!

(ok, It might be a touch warranted)
:rolleyes1

The buses are very regular and run constantly, RP shares a bus with Sapphire and they are picked up first, we waited the grand total of 35 seconds for this bus to arrive and there was one almost directly behind it too, one of the managers said they were always as regular which is good to know, I don`t think I`ve ever heard anyone complain about the bus service to the parks and beyond.

You walk all the way past the pool and convention area, I usually say head down past where Tchoup Chop used to be, but so many folks don`t know that place was ever there now, amazing restaurant that is sadly missed.

You also get the bus here for Volcano Bay and to the two original parks, they are well signed as to where they are going so no worries of getting on the right bus.

I`m not quite sure why this picture quality is so poor, maybe the light on the bus, but it is very grainy, however it is the only proof I have we did actually take the bus!!

We would however Uber home tonight.

i-Bhnv46v-X2.jpg

The buses were very decent, efficient, clean with plenty of seating and seemingly almost every kid had a Mario item adorned on them, we were already in the minority it seems.

The bus takes only about 10-15 minutes max to get to Epic, so it`s not a long journey at all and for some of the road they have their own dedicated bus lane, but it`s an easy and short journey.

We did however have the "Disney" family sitting behind us, as we got closer you can see the back walls of one of the areas, I think it was Mario area, the mother complained that Disney would never let you see the backstage area, Disney would have that disguised in some way, Disney does things like that better....

i-vJp3GqM-S.gif

Eventually I switched off and when we got off the bus another woman nudged Tom and said, I bet you wanted to tell Minnie Mouse to go back to Disney then, because she wanted to lol....how true!!

It had been a long wait for this park to open for all of us, but they do say some things are worth waiting for and we were sure this would be just fabulous.

We had watched it progress through the internet and we had gone up on the Orlando Eye several times to see the changes along the way, some pictures below of the changes throughout the last few years.

MAY 2023

i-9p9jXkP-X2.jpg

i-FWtRHt9-X2.jpg

Only one of the value hotels had gone up by this point and Helios construction hadn`t even started yet. It was hard to imagine they`d be ready for May 2025 which hadn`t been publicly announced at that point from memory, but Universal do tend to be swift when it comes to projects so we knew it would be ready.

i-XGhwnhF-X2.jpg

But, back to today and the drop off area is incredibly close to the entrance, it`s ridiculously close being honest, unlike the parking lot in which you could end up walking forever before you even got near the entrance!

i-BX2BVb7-X2.jpg

You don`t need directions here, just follow the crowd although it certainly wasn`t crowded 👀

i-kz4ft8b-X2.jpg

We got on the bus around 11 and it was just after 11.15 as we got to the main entrance, they only had one side open, we knew numbers were limited during technical rehearsal, but even so we expected it to be a little busier but they only had one side of turnstiles open and we were already excited to see this new and beautiful looking park.

i-HqDgg55-X2.jpg

i-Hj4948P-X2.jpg

It was an absolutely gorgeous day, hot, sunny and although we had heard of a complete lack of shade inside the park we were still incredibly excited to get in and start enjoying the parts of the park we were interested in, which was precisely about half.

i-tcVDGHB-X2.jpg

i-TqV2hnj-X2.jpg

The Chronos is supposed to be a huge machine that powers the park and through it you enter into Celestial Park which is a world of it`s own between all the other impressive worlds within Epic, WWoHP Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, Isle of Berk, How to Train your Dragon and what I expected would be our favourite, Dark Universe.

i-BKzCzTH-X2.jpg

Everything is completely beautiful and it helped it was such a gorgeous day, it all looked stunning, the light and colours blended so well together and it was just, well, incredible!!!!

Once inside you are greeted by the statue of Luna who is the Goddess of the Moon and rises above a fountain pool and solarium in the background. She is directly opposite Apollo who is the God of the Sun and sits in front of Helios Grand Hotel so they compliment everything that is depicted in the park with the mix of sun and moon, you can`t have one without the other. Apollo rules the park during the day, handing the mantle over to Luna after dark

This is fully depicted in the night show where at sunset Apollo propels a fiery arrow that contains the power of light all the way over to Luna who now controls the park and watches over it during dark hours.

This will signal the start of a spectacular water night time show with lights and music in the pool throughout the central Celestial Park area. I have heard it will be spectacular to see.

i-82gVDKV-X2.jpg

i-QfrS8nM-X2.jpg

i-tL45WxF-X2.jpg

We took to our right as we walk in and you are in shopping delight, not that we wanted to spend a lot of time in these stores, we aren`t huge on merchandise, but we had a quick glance around and yes, the stores have been done very well, but they`re just stores all the same and not why we were there today.

i-q2K4dmV-X2.jpg

Sensory Emporium encompasses Lens Flare where you can get your Photo Pass pictures and North Star Wintry Wonders are nicely themed and there is a whole back story as to characters around Celestial Park including Vincent Various who was an extraordinary explorer who converted his workshop into these unique stores. It has the same detail that Port of Entry has in IOA and filled with detailed and entertaining history.

i-mVfvL4r-X2.jpg

This was a really nice little area and as you`d expect from UOR the detail had been exquisitely constructed and I think we`ll need many visits to even begin to take it all in and we didn`t even try today, this visit was all about enjoying the park and all it offered not capturing everything, we really spent a lot of time not taking pictures which is quite unusual for us as most of you know, but we had waited a long time to experience this park.

i-sLqFdVg-X2.jpg

We didn`t explore Celestial Park as much as we should have, but there`s always next time, however the Atlantic Restaurant looked lovely and we have since had friends and my nephew and his wife tell us how lovely it was, only one was disappointed and I don`t blame her as it sounded like they had an off night when they went. My nephew said they much preferred the Blue Dragon Pan Asian restaurant to this, they only came back to the UK a week or so ago and they loved it.

What we think of Isle Of Berk coming right up!!!

Loving your TR. Ironically I came here because I’m planning on going to Universal/SeaWorld and wanted to learn more about rides to avoid. I got stuck on Rocking Rollercoaster at HS years ago for about 45 minutes and now avoid anything too restraining. Hearing about your panic attack reminded me of what happened to me on my last trip on Dinosaur when it broke down and I had put my belt too tight. Was all I could think about until I started to lose it. My DW talked me down that time, distraction helps. If you ever find yourself in similar circumstances try the 5,4,3,2,1 method. It’s where you identify and say to yourself I see a, for 5 things, then identify 5 noises, then 5 touch things. I touch me leg, etc. helps regain control while burning off that fight or flight impulse.

he was completely oblivious to hearing Freddie Mercury`s dulcid tones that are one of my alarm call sounds
That’s pretty cool to have a personalized one, I couldn’t even tell you what one I plucked from the iphone menu.
So although the sign says room key required to enter, that is only for Early Park Entry.
Well, that is very good to hear…so close when in the park, can’t imagine poking one’s head in for a quick lookie-see!
We love them both I guess
Same, they both have their charms. Together, they make a perfect whole
This is one of my favourite streets in the Studios,
It is visually interesting, the one thing tho…pretty sure it’s possibly the hottest spot in the parks mid-day…unless on shady side of street.
Someone forgot to change his sunglasses to regular ones!!
Incognito mode :)
and feeling a bit of an idiot for panicking like that, only twice in my life have I had a proper full on panic attack and both had been in the last six months. That feeling of being restricted and not being able to get out is horrible although Tom was more annoyed at the lack of empathy from that particular TM.
I agree with Tom on this, it sounds totally unacceptable. A shame, really. You did well recovering afterwards. Sorry to hear this happened.

Oh Lord, that sort give Disney park fans a bad name. Ugh

Contrary to what she stated, there are multiple areas where you see the ‘backside of water’ in the WDW parks, including:

The turn from highway to access Epcot, where you see the back of Star Wars facade & the two lane road shortcut to Old Key West area that goes past Test Track & the employee parking lots.

If anything, we find peeking into them as we drive past rather fascinating as to the hidden workings of the parks. Think of it as a “free” backstage tour

Caught up, some really amazing pics that have us getting even more excited to see EPIC soon, thank you.

:welcome: along angelmav

Oh I feel your pain, that must have been horrible! I had heard of that method, but unfortunately, I was beyond reasoning at that point. I don`t think I`ve ever been on Dinosaur but do remember RRC, not a fun thing to be trapped on either.

When is your trip to UOR/SW?

If you haven`t been before or haven`t been for a long time you`re in for a treat!!! Amazing parks and even if you do avoid some rides, there are still many things to do for fun in the parks. SW I don`t know much about, but folks love it.

I`m glad you`re enjoying the TR, it`s always a pleasure for me to read posts along the way and glad to see you here too :wave2:

Helios is ideal with it`s positioning to pop in from the park, it was less than 5 minutes from Monsters. We did enjoy a break twice on our Epic day up there and enjoyed the break from the heat, you`ll enjoy visiting it there.

I never heard of the two parks described as a perfect whole, good one!!! Oh lordy yes, that street is hotter than Hades at times, so yes, we always stand on the shady side for the parade!

In complete contrast to the family on the bus, there was a family in the Club Lounge who were visiting Universal for the first time, confirmed Disney fans but they loved Universal beyond anything they expected, spent the whole time enthusing about how good Universal was in so many areas. It was refreshing to hear their enthusiasm.

Yes, I don`t mind seeing backstage areas too, always interesting but this woman went in expecting to hate it I think, I do hope she enjoyed it in the end.

Glad you like the pics, more coming up, it was such a beautiful park even though we made a concerted effort to not photograph everything and just enjoy it, we still managed one or ten pictures lol......

Glad to have you back and glad you had such a wonderful trip!!!!

Isle of Berk is the first world you come to on the right hand side as you enter, I fully admit we knew/know less than nothing about HTTYD and as a movie it just doesn`t appeal to us at all, so we wandered in with few expectations except knowing anything Universal does is always beyond wonderful so we knew visually we would be in for a treat.

i-HhKjHM9-X2.jpg

As you enter each Chronos they are very impressive and very well done, the movements of the turning display is very pretty and they look even better at night, most folks don`t stop to take pictures of it as we didn`t, pictures just don`t show them to their full dramatic extent, certainly during the day anyway.

i-XCRzmCm-X2.jpg

Walking through the Chronos is a unique way to enter the individual worlds and Isle of Berk is no different, as soon as you are through you are greeted by a large rock with a welcome message for all guests and lets you know you are strolling into an over the top and full of imagination Viking village.

i-tmScwht-X2.jpg

And don`t miss the backside of the rock as it does have a map of this amazing world.

i-D3jD33m-X2.jpg

As soon as you enter Isle of Berk you do feel your senses are under assault, but in a very good way.

You are immediately aware of just how beautiful and incredibly detailed the whole park is but this park so far has shown just how the design team has elevated detail to a new high, it is stunning.

i-jM2XNzq-X2.jpg

i-H6C8DrF-X2.jpg

I think we spent longer than we expected taking it all in, but probably not as much as we should have given our lack of knowledge of the whole theme.

i-mQw9VRd-X2.jpg

i-8vW4dJV-X2.jpg

The Spit Fyre Grill is one of the quick service options in this area of the park, they do have a decent sized sitting area quite near, we didn`t sit down as we only had water at this point. I can see this place getting incredibly busy at peak times and although it wasn`t too busy we don`t like taking a seat if we`re not eating.

i-hBNfJ6H-X2.jpg

i-hNMnQ3K-X2.jpg

The seemingly favoured dish from here is a Mac and Cheese Cone, there are a few options for the mac and cheese, one with pulled pork, one with spicy Nashville Chicken and one Goldfish as a topping, the mac and cheese is apportioned within a bread cone.

I have to say it doesn`t appeal to us at all.

They have some other dishes which include a tenderloin steak, shrimp, salmon, chicken and a vegan option we never looked at, but the dishes with rice sound nice enough.

After we walked past this area we came across the one thing I did know I wanted to see and it was the Snow Wraith which we had been told breathed an icy fog on to passing guests which was cute as heck to see.

i-jJMwWkp-X2.jpg

We didn`t bother spending much time in many stores, we found the merchandise we saw to be not quite what we would be looking for, I was keeping my merchandise purchases for the Monster section.

1749662247778.gif

I also admit to not having the first clue who Toothless was or Toothsome as we seemed to call him!!!
😳

i-8znkfg9-X2.jpg

We had arranged to meet someone we have known for years, he was now a manager here at Epic and it would be nice to see him again. We had heard about the Untrainable Dragon Show and we did think we would try and catch it, it only lasted around 20 minutes and he did show us in as one of the shows was about to start, but they had some issues and I believe from what we heard from others the show stopped and started a couple of times so I was glad we didn`t stay.

I think this seems to be a work in progress from what folks have said, but it is lovely and shouldn`t be missed.

i-nVFqMf9-X2.jpg

You cannot miss this beautiful ornate carving on the way past, to be honest I was too busy chatting when we heard a little girl pointing and yelling the dragon was biting the little girl 🤭

I saw what she meant when I looked!

i-2BGvrKG-X2.jpg

Fyre Drill is a pretty busy looking interactive water ride with Viking themed boats and an abundance of water cannons , not one we planned to go on as the line was rather long!! Considering how quiet the park was generally the lines were fairly extensive.

i-6HVJvvH-X2.jpg

Dryers were appropriately themed and folks were making good use of them, although to be honest, it was hotter than Hades today and most folks would dry naturally just spending a few minutes in that blazing sunshine!!

We were loving walking in this heat and just soaking in the atmosphere of a brand new park.

i-57TbgBs-X2.jpg

There are benches around, most were located in full sunshine though so most of them were not utlised, but they are nicely themed continuing the dragon theme as expected.

Berk represents a typical Viking village and there are a lot of meet and greets as well as characters roaming around and speaking to one of them (no picture as Tom had wandered off) and he explained who he was (I forget) and that there were I think around 30 different dragons from 17 varying species, I`ll take his word for it. He did ask who our favourite Viking/Dragon was and I laughingly explained this Viking lifestyle was new to us and we hoped to find out more. I was acutley aware when I saw the spark of recognition as it dawned on him we knew nothing of the movies, thanked us for our time said he hoped we enjoyed his land and moved on!!!

i-LCkKhMZ-X2.jpg

i-LL5MtRC-X2.jpg

One of the other quick service places in Berk, is Mead Hall, an impressive looking building that is ok inside, I`m not knocking it, it just didn`t appeal too much to us, but it was cool, however the pictures we took didn`t come out too well (I admit I took them) I blame not having my glasses on 🥴 so they`re too blurry to post.

The menu again is nice, we did like the look of the Thawfest Platter which had BBQ glazed wildberry chicken drumsticks, salmon, sausages, cipollini onions, roast carrots, fries with some side sauces, we saw someone with the dish and it did look nice. They also do a Swedish Meatball which immediately made me think of IKEA!!!

And as expected the detailed theming is everywhere, I could post a hundred pictures (I won`t) and you`d still never see everything they have created around this amazing park.

Stardust Racers is one I wasn`t sure about, especially after my little panic attack on Gringotts. It was playing on my mind a little and this being an over the shoulder harness would be worse, but I had been assured breakdowns with folks on them was not going to happen

I did try the test seat as we had heard it was tight for chunkier folks, but darn it, I fit lol, I think I was secretly hoping it wouldn`t go green as an excuse as it did look like an amazing coaster but a little terrifying.

Out of fairness to the TM I`ll just say we were very, very fortunate today ❤️

We went on green side and we had the back row which I will say is fantastic for seeing the duelling part of this ride and it is amazing, it feels faster than Velocicoaster although Tom feels VC is faster, however it is an amazing coaster, no spoilers.

I really wasn`t sure about going on this ride for several reasons......

Don`t miss this ride!!

We left Berk absolutely smitten, it was a beautiful world with plenty of fun things to do and some nice food options. Theming and design of everything you see is off the scale.

Now, I know I may sound sound negative by saying we probably won`t go back into Berk apart from Stardust Racers, but wonderful as it was we had no connection to HTTYD, the characters are fun, animatronics are incredible and the whole area is awe-inspiring and I`m happy to have seen it, once was enough.

However, I think it`s a world everyone should see, its not to be missed for sure.

Potter was up next and we were beyond excited to see this world!

I have to say it doesn`t appeal to us at all.
That's a lot of carbs in any universe
And don`t miss the backside of the rock as it does have a map of this amazing world.
They let no stone go un-turned :duck:
Toothless
we have a soft spot here for 'toof-less'
The menu again is nice
It's a hearty one for sure!

I just don't get how people can eat so heavy in the scorching sun & heat there lol
We left Berk absolutely smitten
I've been reading the same consistently in reviews, even from Those who didn't have an inkling of the back story. Just goes to show they hit it out of the park!

PS we can handle all the pictures you care to share popcorn::
