Ugh - just spent a good hour and a half with all 3 boys chipping ice off the driveway and tossing it up onto the snowbanks and then trying to chop down the banks. Probably have them down to 5 feet or so now!

I'm exhausted and we're heading out to Wally World - yeah, that'll pick me right up!

Then we'll come back and try the driveway again - it's a balmy 29, I'm sure a lot of it will melt by then!
As far as my friend, they are traveling midweek. Leaving on Wednesday, July 9th and returning on July 22nd, so 13 days (and peak!). They're paying $100 a night for the house, so I guess only $1300 total, but definitely not for one week.
And I think the flying part of it is a BIG deal to them - neither she or any of the kids have ever flown before so they're almost as excited about that part as the parks themselves. And I didn't say they don't LIKE amusement parks, they've just never been able to go to them before.
I don't know why they feel the "need" to do SW and KSC - those are just the "musts" she told me. Seems strange to have KSC as a must and not Disney, but I really think it's just a matter of being completely clueless!
And the price calculations were based on using the 4 day flex tickets. As far as onsite, I really think the part of the vacation they're the most excited about is having their own pool and POOL TABLE! I'm not sure why this is so exciting - you can buy a basic one for $150 at Dunham's, but that was a big part in why they chose the house they did. I think with 4 kids too, having more room to have their own space (and own beds) will be nice for that long a time. Again- plus the advantage of cooking there and saving a ton on meals!
Thanks for the input - I'm off to
Walmart!
