I am now contemplating DL for 2009. we can get a pass that is good at Seaworld , DL, CA and US.

just a two state plane ride.


have any of you been to DL? i do realize it is smaller.

i have never been to DL or to UO on the west coast.
i want to do both.

since i go solo on my vacays to the darkside and motherland, i would hope i could meet up with someone for the CA trip when i plan it.

when i first went to orlando, it was with others in my group. since i knew the system, it did not bother me going solo later.
but, the west coast i don't want to do alone.
i heard the UO site is excellent out there.
also curious on DL too.

put me on your list penny.
i'll stalk you and mr penny so i don't have to be alone when i go there.

I read "Thinner"...not bad...strange though. My favorite novel of his is "The Stand" and my favorite short story is "The Mist".

Hello all well we finally got that snow . Too bad it is not going to be a snow day for us all but my DD did get one out of it . The rest of us all off anyway .

I hope that everyone is safe and takes it easy out there especially of you are in the storms path .

BTW I Let the cat in for you mac now who is going to shovel for me ?? No takers huh That is what I thought I am going to have to bribe the kids again . Good old card hard cash is what they will get .

Feeling a little better after the fall I took on the ice yesterday and have to go out later and check on my car cause yesterday on the way home from picking up DW a truck kept flahing thier lights at me couldn't figure why when I got home and checked it out and found out I almost had a back tire flat still trying to figure that one out nothing in the tire and almost brand new.

What the frig is this? It's my day off today, and I had sooooo much to do, including a luncheon with friends that I was really looking forward to, but we've got some NASTY weather here, and I'm not going much of anywhere.

I can't decide whether to start shoveling now or do it all at once later.

And, oh, I'll just share this little tidbit ... do you know how most people swarm the grocery stores the day before bad weather is due? You know those days where you can't find a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk? I'd like to introduce you to the Mike method of insuring we have enough food in the house in the event of a blizzard: "I'm having Chinese delivered tonight so we have food for tomorrow since that heats up well. Do you want a #36 or 47 or both?"

I'm still shaky... still recovering... but at least I'm getting better.

Today is Family Day for Joshua's class at school (each class gets a different Friday). I'm about to go join in the festivities, so I won't be around until a little later.

I have the same issue . I really was looking forward to them delivering my Sleep Number Bed today but the DAM SNOW is now making them not deliever till Thursday of next week . I had to take Thursday because mon-wed i usually work if they call and Monday is crazy here as my DD has bowling and I have to go see the dentist about a wisdom tooth . So there are no Sweet Dreams here till at least Thurday . I then had to rearrange breakfast plans for Thursday with the ladies and now I just realized that I will have to do Parent Teacher Conf . At night instead of during the day on Thursday . AHHH I am so annoyed I also wanted to go get some curtains and look for some stuff in the stores but that will have to wait till Saturday or Sunday now...All this is annoying But the kids are happy it is snowing and they will get to finally play in some snow.

MY RANT IS OVER NOW .

Went to Costco yesterday so food is not the issue here . Friday during lent is our issue no meat so we are always looking for something different to eat. Tonight it is Shrimp with pasta. The kiddies are eating pizza or just pasta .

So now that our Sleep Number Bed is not coming for another week I am going to dress my bed now with the new set. I wanted to wait and save it but I just can't stand looking at it and really want to throw it out already . I will have to take pictures later.

Mike and I are still looking at beds and deciding what we want to do about that. (I know, I brought this up like last year, and we still haven't done anything yet ... story of my life.)

I grew up Catholic, and I hated Lent Fridays. My mom used to make us eat fish sticks and tartar sauce or tuna casserole. As we got older, she wised up to cheese pizza or spaghetti and marina sauce with garlic bread. Now I'm a heathen.

I will eat meat on fridays. i cant be that controlled.

if i forget, i forget. we never used to eat meat on fridays year round. that kinda sucked. then they said only during lent.

i try to be good.
you should see me in the store when i see a nun in the habit(always the older ones) i am right there with Good morning Sister. I know better than to just walk past.

As soon as we get it I will let you know. They say it takes some time to get adjusted to sleeping on it . I was so dissapointed when they called to cancel but when I saw the snow I knew the call was coming. We looked for a LONG,LONG time at beds it may have been about a year or so for us too and for a really good KING size bed we were looking at atleast 2-3 thousand dollars. The sleep number came to about 3,800 . This is for the 7000 model . I know it is alot but after going to the store and really sitting on all these beds and then going to the sleep number store and feeling the difference when you adjust the bed it really is a difference. My sleepnumber in the store was about a 50 . but that can change they say depending on how you sleep. Our friends just bough a really expensive regular mattress and HATE IT I think they spent like 3,000 ,so when you pick something make sure you really want it. I just wish we could have it today I am a little upset over the SNOW .

Yup still trying to be a good catholic but it is really hard to keep the meat out of the mouth . And you know you actually crave it more now then any other time .

My DD has a nun for art class and well I think the kids are scared of her . My daughter has never been to Catholic school before HS so it was a really big adjustment to see Nuns in the school.
Does anyone remember in Catholic grammer school getting hit with a ruler on the nuckles ? . That is child abuse now boy have times changed .
