Evening everyone!

Checking in late today....or make that very early.....

Quick summary:

Boys swam very well....meet lasted 6 hours but we made it.....met with friends and fell asleep while we were at the DF's house....

Too tired to try to catch up now...

Hope to catch you all sometime in the morn!

I'm not sleeping in. . .though everyone else in this house is. Darn bunny woke me up at 6:00 chewing on his wood sticks. . then his food dish. . .them taking his morning race around his cage so he throws tons of bedding and bunny poops on the floor

So, here I am wondering if I can get away with not cleaning house this morning, or cooking breakfast.

I don't think we have a groundhog in Arkansas.....I think they use the PA groundhog...isn't he the "official" one?

My DH is on the PC, and I'm on the laptop right now....

1. I think the PA one is the "official" one...(& Gus would be the 2nd most famous groundhog in PA--he's the PA lottery mascot ).....everyone else just wants to be copycats and be like us ......altho, I'm liking other groundhogs predicitions better...like Janet, thinking of bootin' ole Phil

2. That's always how it is in our house...Bubba on his computer, DH on his desktop and me on my laptop.... Altho, I would rather cozy up in bed with my laptop than sit at a desk

It's nice, actually, because it's so quiet. . . no fighting, whining or crying. I did just go grind my coffee beans and still no one woke up.

I am sitting here wondering if I will ever again eat bacon, hashbrowns butter. . . and then it dawns on me. . . I can eat whatever I want, whenever I want, but I don't make those choices anymore

So I'm going to have one of these and do this

got the cinnamon roll dough flopping in the bread machine (i'm on a kick, made rolls on Friday); think it's the cold weather. Will go well with the chicken wings i'm making for dinner (ha - anything goes with cinnamon rolls - drool)

almost forget, reading thru last night's frivolity....so tricia, did your DH sleep well? mine tossed & turning, hacking - ewwww - that's enough to put the clamps on any idea of romance; now i know what he felt like.

I know, guilty again. I realized I had no wine in my downstairs fridge and would have to go all the way down to the basement for it. That's like going into the City at my house ... I decided to just do our taxes instead. And unlike last year where Mike bolted up the stairs in a panic because I was crying so hard I was wailing since we owed SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHHHH FRIGGIN MONEY, this year we played it a little too "once bitten, twice shy" and I am actually embarrassed that we let the govt use way too much of our $$ tax free for the whole year. I cannot believe our refund. I think I could feed 3 small villages in both Africa and Guyana for a year with it. So, I have to revisit our W4s once again and hope I get it right this time. I feel like it's such a crapshoot.

you either owe big, or you get a refund and realize they had your money. i hate it. and when you owe, it sucks you gotta pay more. okay, have to get more coffee in. this tax thing is getting to me.

I would like to thank Lori for the offer of the boat the other day.....didn't quite need it, but could have used waterproof shoes

penny - Jim spent yesterday making gravy (or spaghetti sauce - whichever you call it ) with pork in it and we are going to have lasagne today.....thank you Mr. Flay for the throwdown episode yesterday We were watching that Jim said "hey, now that is something I have not made in a while" I my hubby.

jodie - I cannot believe our refund this year either.....seems that it goes up every year That is ok that they hold onto the tax$$ - as long as we are reunited with it every February As far as the trip....I would say its about 98% a go Need to talk to my peeps at the HRH this week and see what we can do. I was told to deal directly with one individual for our next vacation, he was out all last week......so I will give him a jingle tomorrow.

I watched the Nascar Primetime Specials that ran for 5 weeks at 10pm on ABC (leading up to the end of the season). They followed Mark Martin, along with Juan Pablo Montoya and a rookie (name escapes me at the drunken moment). Got to see Mark at home in Charlotte. He has a workout gym at his house. Well, it is a separate building on his property. They showed him doing some of his routine. Whoosh... I'm getting hot just remembering it. Damn.

Well that wasn't quite as fun as I was imagining.

Mac, I remember being about 10 and doing crank calls with my sister and my cousin.....that was sooooooo much fun....but I would clobber my kids if I ever caught them doin' that!!!! Hi Allison! 2 Benadryl & alcohol, you are living dangerously. Benadryl knocks me out. I never did crank calls but then again I lived in the middle of nowhere so most calls were long distance.

I don't like using Phil because he is always going to see his shadow with all the lights they have around him. Maybe they should let it be a natural setting for him. I never did hear what the groundhog said hear.

Personally I have never seen a rat or a cat at either of the parks. And you are right they are every where. Why should we think they aren't in a place with so much trash?
