hmmm, does my butt look big in this fur?:rotfl:

barb did u see the commerical where gus is going on a (blind?) date with the blonde bimbo?:lmao:

i like these commercials:thumbsup2 ...you're dreams miss you
RozeremAd.jpg

got the cinnamon roll dough flopping in the bread machine (i'm on a kick, made rolls on Friday); think it's the cold weather. Will go well with the chicken wings i'm making for dinner (ha - anything goes with cinnamon rolls - drool)

almost forget, reading thru last night's frivolity....so tricia, did your DH sleep well?;) mine tossed & turning, hacking - ewwww - that's enough to put the clamps on any idea of romance; now i know what he felt like.

Those commercials are great.

Send some cinnamom rolls down this way please! You can send some wings too if you want.

::yes::

I know, guilty again. I realized I had no wine in my downstairs fridge and would have to go all the way down to the basement for it. That's like going into the City at my house ... I decided to just do our taxes instead. And unlike last year where Mike bolted up the stairs in a panic because I was crying so hard I was wailing since we owed SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHHHH FRIGGIN MONEY, this year we played it a little too "once bitten, twice shy" and I am actually embarrassed that we let the govt use way too much of our $$ tax free for the whole year. I cannot believe our refund. I think I could feed 3 small villages in both Africa and Guyana for a year with it. So, I have to revisit our W4s once again and hope I get it right this time. I feel like it's such a crapshoot.

Anyway, GOOOOOOOOD MORNING, frienditos y frienditas!

Hey a big refund is better than owing a lot. I really do prefer to try to make sure it comes out about even though. So are you going to do anything special with it?

is anyone making super bowl snack food for today?

I cooked a huge roast chicken yesterday.

leftovers tonight while pacing.......

mmmm.....gravy. mashed taters.......mmmmmm

anyone wanna come for dinner?

I'm on my way!

i pride myself on giving the government a big fat loan for a year...

then the big fat refund is guilt free mad money:thumbsup2 Susie Orman be damned:rotfl: she irritates the *ell outta me with her patented advice - don't spend money-no duh:headache:

penny - i visited the thread, bit of a hoot; was tempted to add my 2 cents about cockaroaches in the deluxes (we had a BC infestation that still gives me the willies) i'm over telling that tale to the masses...just too mind bending to think the happiest place on earth may have varmits - ala the rest of the world?:confused3

I do not like her either. Anyone can give that kind of advice.

Now Janet they are Palmetto bugs not roaches. ;) Yeah right. Those are the biggest stinking roaches I have ever seen. :headache:

Hi Tracie! Glad you didn't need the boat. Let me know if you do and I will bring it right up.

Lasagne sounds yummy. Maybe I will fix some too. Either that or hot dogs.:rotfl:

Tracie, that's awesome! So hoping we can hook up. Think I know of whom you speak ... I am supposed to let him know that it's my birthday this trip. Wow, they are going to have a lot of "high mtce" ;) folks from the DIS between end of April, beginning of May! :lmao:

Janet, Susie Orman gets on my nerves too, but I do find her advice to be pretty sage, if not blatantly obvious for the amateurs who call into her show (Personally, I love the "can i afford it" segments. Great entertainment!). I am glad you love getting a big refund! I mean, who doesn't, really?! It's just hard for me to get rid of that fiscal responsibility my parents DRILLED into me when I was younger. Now, I can't clean my house worth a lick; I know I would make a horrible parent; I am an expert at pasta dishes, but can't cook anything else; I have horrible eating habits, and I drink too much; I am not even remotely crafty and don't have much of a sense of style, but Mike and I can retire at age 52, so at least we have that going for us! :rotfl2: BTW, how are you feeling today?!

I am working during the Super Bowl this evening, and I volunteered to coordinate dinner. For the most part, I am having it catered but I did just make 2 lbs of baked ziti for the event. So, get this, and read on only if you're interested in my latest annoyance:

Really, this is your last chance.

You probably don't want to hear this.

I'm serious.

Ok, then, you were warned.

You must be a serious glutton for punishment.

This past Wednesday, I started gathering names of who was stuck working the Super Bowl. I asked each person personally (to their face, not email, not IM) if they were interested in participating. I explained what was on the menu, and I thought I could do it for $12 per person. I didn't put anyone on the spot. I told them they could let me know. Now, 99% of the people thanked me for coordinating it, said, "heck, yeah, I'm in" and offered to pay me on the spot. Except for one kid, who is not even in my organization, but told me a day later that, yes, he was participating. This was Thursday. Great, I said, I will collect your $12 on Saturday because I'm picking the food up on Sunday. OK, he said. Great.

So, on Friday I remind him, Daniel, don't forget I'm collecting the Super Bowl dinner $ tomorrow. OK, he said.

Saturday, I go to him, Daniel, do you have your Super Bowl money?

Oh, I'll have to give it to you later. This was 9 pm Saturday night.

WTH? I left for the night at 11 or so, and still no money from Daniel.

If you don't want to participate, fine. I gave him every opportunity to say that he wasn't participating, and there was absolutely no pressure. But if you want to participate, how hard is it to get $12 on time to the person who is ordering all the food, doing all the shopping, all the cooking, all the set up, and spending a lot more than $12 pp?!

I know it's only $12, but I've already put in $40 instead of $12 because I get nervous that people won't think there's enough food and I don't want to run out due some fat pigs I work with. (There is one big guy who I'm sure is going to say, "Ha, ha, ha, have to make sure I eat my $12 worth! Then I have to show incredible self-restraint not to say, "You just ate 3 peoples' $12 worth, pig.").

Really, I do it because I don't care about the game and am happy to play hostess so everyone can enjoy it. I don't ask for a lot in return ... the only thing I asked for was to have the money yesterday. Geez!

Stay tuned to see what Daniel does today. Does he pay up late and eat? Does he not pay up and not attempt to eat? Does he (gasp) try to eat without paying?

barb did u see the commerical where gus is going on a (blind?) date with the blonde bimbo?

Yep....she looks corny  Then again....we're talking about "groundhogs" dating here.....

I'm not sure Brad ever woke up, but I had a good time. :rotfl:

So? :confused3 Does that REALLY matter? :rolleyes1

I know, guilty again. I realized I had no wine in my downstairs fridge and would have to go all the way down to the basement for it. That's like going into the City at my house ... I decided to just do our taxes instead.

I don't know Jodie....walk for wine OR taxes :scratchin .....think I'd have walked ;)

Morning All

I would like to thank Lori for the offer of the boat the other day.....didn't quite need it, but could have used waterproof shoes

I agree....waterproof shoes would have been great!

barb - I am here - lots of

Whoa! Take it easy girl! You are supposed to enjoy the weekend with Jim HOME....do that stuff when he's away at work!! (if you run out of stuff to do, you can come to my house ;) )

Keep us posted on your trip! Mummydust :wizard: it will all happen....AND with air, not driving! :headache:

Hey a big refund is better than owing a lot.

i agree...I don't care if it's big or small (refund), I just don't want to pay OUT of my pocket anymore

Wow, they are going to have a lot of "high mtce" ;) folks from the DIS between end of April, beginning of May! :lmao:

WE love you anyway! ;) :grouphug:

I am glued to my seat :hyper: Can't wait to see what he tries :rolleyes1 Get 'em Jodie!

Well Jodie you sound just like me. I always pay more than my share to make sure there is enough for everyone. I always make way to much food. Even though we should know that people like Daniel are always going to be around it still always amazes me when they pull their stunts.

Can't wait to hear what Daniel does. I am betting that he tries to eat without paying.

Anyone else?

Just checking in...on my way to West Oaks Malls for a little shopping for work stuff.

I'm not making anything for tonight...I think Papa John's will need to visit.

she has a target on her back:confused3

pics didn't load for me, were they the ones where she was licking a lollipop with her friend? Such a fuss about those ones last week, last time i looked she wasn't a nun or preacher. These kids are entertainers, not necessarily role models; same as athletes. Don't understand why everyone holds them to such a rigid standard or why they care what they do in their private life. I could see it if they profess to be perfect, they're just kids-make mistakes like they all do; hopefully - learn from them & move forward.

imo, even if "real" she is no more or less stoopid that tons of other kids posting same crap...i tell my DS don't post anything u don't want a future employer to see.:teacher:
I guess the link didn't load for you guys?
These are a different set of pics than the lollipop pic. Miley is in her underwear, purple underwear top she is lifting up and a black and white zebra panties. Sorry, a little TMI for a Sunday :guilty:
Oh well, I guess it isn't much of a big deal, but Miley better be careful what her "so called friends" take pics of her and what "friends" she hangs out with, etc. I guess it goes along with being in the business(celebrity).

Chrissy still likes her songs and still likes Hannah Montana.

Lori and Barb, how did I know that you 2 would be among those gluttons for punishment? I am sure you'll be waiting with bated breath to see what Daniel does today. :lmao:

I am off to pick up the catering order, etc.

Everyone, ENJOY the game! (And for those of us oddballs, enjoy the commercials!).

Road trip to Jodies work today to see what happens- Sharon grab your coat

Good Superbowl morning all(afternoon for the East-coasters)-

I mainly watch the Superbowl for the commercials popcorn::
Except last yr, I got into the Superbowl because Da Bears were playing the Indianapolis Colts. Unfortunately, da Bears lost and Colts won. But DH and I were kinda happy the Colts won anyways. DH really likes the Colts :)

Jodie- I bet Daniel doesn't pay. Hope he comes into work today. Maybe he was planning to call in sick? Wouldn't surprise me if he did, he is a young guy, probably wants to be with his friends for the game :confused3

May the Giants win today!! :yay: :woohoo:

Anyways, school variety show went well last night. Matthew did an AWESOME job playing his songs on the clarinet. We did get some compliments from a couple of other parents on how well Matthew did. Made DH and I feel a little special :goodvibes So I am a proud parent :goodvibes

We did have a little issue with the seating in the gym for the show.
Vent ahead
Unfortunatley we couldn't save seats before the performance. I think many parents thought they could save seats before the show started, as it was general seating. So after we drop off Matthew in the gym, parents and siblings have to wait outside the doors. That wasn't the problem. Ok, so they finally let us all go in 45 min later. I found seats in the 5th row, in the section where they had all the folding chairs set up. I find 3 seats(for I, DH, and Chrissy), as everyone is making a mad rush and scrambling for seats. I find the 4 rows of seats in front of us all say "reserved". Ok, we didn't sit there.
Then there wasn't enough seating in our row at first and we came upon 3 seats at the end of the isle that had paper taped on the back of the seats that you can faintly read what it said. So I took those seats at first. 2 minutes later, one of the other 5th grade girls comes up to me and says"you can't sit there, it's reserved for the food team". I'm like, well it didn't have a big reserve sign on the seats like hte other seats did. Anyways, Dh and I got a little annoyed b/c all the seats were taken in other rows. Thank goodness the other family in our row moved over 2 seats so at least we had 2 seats. Then the same girl came up to me again and says "sorry, you cannot sit at these 3 seats". I told her we had 2 seats that were not reserved. And she said" well, don't sit in this seat, it's reserved". So I'm really starting to get pissed. DH was getting pissed as well. I was mumbling to myself(well it was a little louder than mumbling) that I was going to sue the school. I don't know why I said that, but I was pretty furious:headache:  . Then DH found a seat for himself in the isle across from ours. So Chrissy and I sat where we were and DH sat separately from us. I know Chrissy wasn't too happy about the seating arrangement either. I was so pissed that I tore off one of the papers on the other chairs that was so called "reserved". About 10 min later, one of the moms came up to me and said it was ok for DH to sit in one of hte reserved chairs and the food team can take his seat. So that helped :thumbsup2
I know this mom and I actually knew the girl that whas whiny about her "reserved seat". The girl used to be in girl scouts with Chrissy for 3 years!
I just can't believe the girl never said hi to Chrissy, etc. The girl and her sister were just whiny about having their "reserved seats". The mom that came up to me was NOT their mom. This all happened before the show even started.
Once the variety show finally started, the 3 girls took their seats and DH heard one of the girls say,"I can't believe I got stuck sitting here by myself"- saying it with a stuck up attitude :snooty:
The girls only sat there for 20 min and then left, to help out with serving the food snacks during intermission. They never came back to those seats after intermission, so their seats were open to anybody
I am glad those girls helped out with the snacks for the concessions, but I was not happy with their snotty attitudes :snooty:

I just know that when I used to volunteer for ushering and ticket selling when I was in Drama Club in high school (many yrs back), we had to sit WAY in back of the theater and let the guests have their seats. I never made a stink about sitting all the way in back of the theater :confused3
I know these girls are young(5th grade), but still, they shouldn't be reserving seats near the front if they are volunteering in back
I know 2 of the girls(they are sisters), the mom is kinda a snob :snooty:

Well, the seating worked out at the end, so that was good :thumbsup2
Next time the school does this variety show thing, I suggest they do reserved tickets and seating for everyone, even tho it's free admission.
Thanks for letting me vent :)

Sorry Rose. I did get them to load. They really are pics that girls that age take. She does need to be careful though. Gotta realize she isn't normal and can't do things like that expecing it not to leak.

Good afternoon homies thought I would say Hi.
After being at the emergency room yesterday form 6:00 pm to 12:00 am with DW cause she was having sever stomach pains and after all the blood and urine work they still can't figure whats going on cause they said everything looks fine and wants her to follow up with her regular doctor and gave her some lortab to take for the pain and needless to say she is in dreamland right now.

Hey Lawrence. Hope the docs can find out what is wrong with Mary Eva.

Rose - Glad Mathew did good! You should be proud. Can't believe they were reserving seats for those girls. Glad it all worked out.

Hey Lawrence. Hope the docs can find out what is wrong with Mary Eva.

Yeah I hope they can too cause all she worries about is what her bosses are going to say if she misses more and the house work and I tell her not to worry she has plenty of sick days and I will take care of the house work.

Lawrence, sorry to hear about your DW :sad1:
Are her stomach pains in her upper stomach area, right below the chest area?
Why I ask is, I had doubling over stomach pains back in 1997 into 1998, in hte upper stomach area. I finally went to the ER after having these stomach pains once a month for almost a yr. They found out I was passing gallstones and I had severe pancreatitis. I was hospitalized for few weeks.
I don't mean to diagnose your DW's condition. I don't know if she is passing gallstones or not.

Did they do a stomach ultrasound in the ER? They did with me and found out what I had.

Hope your DW gets better  :wizard:

I don't think they did ultra sound but they did check for all what you are talking about and said she was fine and plus she had her gallbladder took out in 2002 so we know at least it can't be that and the also made sure it was not her appendix and they really can't figure out why she is hurting in her stomach.
